Anyone have Gilligan and O'Malley nursing tanks?

I want to buy a few nursing tanks for the hospital. I'm planning on waiting to purchase nursing bras until after DS is born.  Were you pleased with these tanks? Do you think they would be sufficient for the first week or so until I can get some adequate nursing bras? TIA.

  • I lived in one at the hospital and for about the first month during the night. ?Worked great.

  • I have 2 and wear them everyday I'm at home all day. They are great! I also have the bikini briefs granny panties of this brand. They are VERY comfy. Very pleased with this brand. Go Target!
  • I'm wearing one now!  They're great for that first month or so, and around the house, but they give me uniboob and waaay too much cleavage to wear them to work.  Bravado nursing tanks have a built in real bra (not shelf) and come in actual bra sizes when you're new size is settled.

  • Oh, and I wear a Large top normally but had to buy an XL in these tanks to get it to be long enough and to fit my boobs.
  • I had one specifically for the hospital and until my milk came in. It did the trick, but once my milk came in I got some Glamourmom tanks and they offer far more support.

Thanks! I tried on a large in the store and it was perfect so I plan on ordering an xl. I had been warned they ran small :)

  • They're all I wear (I SAH)!  I only wear a bra when I go out.  Its best to wait until your milk comes in to buy bras anyhow.  You have no idea how big your boobs will get!
  • I still wear mine quite often.  I wear them to sleep in and around the house...and if I'm really lazy, underneath a t-shirt or sweatshirt instead of a nursing bra.  They're great to wear if you're out and about and need to nurse, b/c they keep your stomach and back covered up.

FYI - not sure how much sizing matters in them.  I have everything from Small up through Large and wear them all.  The Large is baggier around the middle, but they all fit.

  • i got 2 from Target before DD was born. i lived in them for the first 2 months.  i got 2 nursing bras after that.
  • I like them, don't love them--agree with other ppl about the uni-boob effect, I like Glamourmom tanks better-but for the price you can't go wrong..you can get Glamourmom tanks on Ebay much cheaper than their site.
  • I love mine. I'm actually going to buy a few more. I SAH, so I live in them. so comfy! And great for sleeping in, since my nursing bras are uncomfortable for sleeping. Also like pp said, They are great for nursing in public because they cover your tummy and back when you lift your shirt.
