i can totally see it!

i love dakota fanning (much to my husband's dismay) & i think she's a fab little actress. plus i'm pretty sure jane was a teen vamp- right?

either way- i'm excited!!

My first choice, were I doing the casting, would be AnnaSophia Robb, but I like Dakota Fanning. I think she can be sufficiently creepy

I love it. Her role isn't a big part, but that's exactly who I pictured as Jane when I was reading the book.

Ditto-I think she's adorable.

HOWEVER, I don't want "big name" stars coming in and "ruining" the movie. I like that most of them were little known or on the verge of becoming stars. Dakota has made it already. The movie will do fine in the box office without big name actors/actresses.

I can think of better uses for the budget rather than paying a star's salary--like how they are going to pull off the wolves without being crappy and/or cheesy.

Jane's roll in the NM book is pretty minimal, surely it would be same for the movie. I'll even bet she's not going to get paid very much, since they don't have a huge budget. Shiit, there's people out there that would do it for free if it meant working side-by-side with a certain someone.

You do have a point. I'd bring them coffee and doughnuts everyday for a roll in the hay with RP.

I just don't want them to cheap out on the necessary special effects. That's what I'm worried about.

I actually don't either. I think she's a little creepy. Which, granted, would make her good as a creepy murderous vamp
