weight for 4 month old

Do you know the average weight or weight range for a 4 month old?

Somehow my pedi never gives me this info. I am not fond of him and will probably switch.

i don't know the average weight but DD was 16.5 lbs and he said she's in the 75th percentile....Try not to compare though, all babies are different. Babies are born at different sizes. Have you checked out www.whattoexpect.com and gone to the 1st year. It might have some helpful info at what the typical monthly expected weight gain should be.

DS was 16 lbs at his 4mo appt.

we never get %iles, and i love it because he's not being compared. if he was severely pver or underweight, we'd be informed.

DD went for her 4 mo. appt. on tuesday and she weighed 13lbs. 4oz. and was in the 46th percentile. She is 26.5 in. and in the 98th percentile with her height so she is kinda a string bean.

I have a friend with a 4 mo. old who was 18lbs. I think it varies a lot. I'd say if you don't like pedi switch while DC is young. Ours gives us a printout of the growth chart which we like.

DS was 14.0 at 4 months and I think pedi said 45%. He's also 27 inches and I think that was 95%.

DS was 14 lbs 2 oz and 24 1/4". The doc said that was 50th percentile.

Mine are 14 lbs 2 oz and 14 lbs 10oz and was told that they are in the 50th percentile
