when you started rice cereal with a spoon

how much formula and cereal did you mix together?

Re: when you started rice cereal with a spoon

  • One tablespoon, plus enough formula to make it the consistency I wanted... no real measurement. Kind of depends what your LO prefers.

  • the directions are on the side of the box.

  • I made it thin enough for her to take but just thick enough for it to stay on the spoon.
  • I started with 1 tablespoon, but now he's up to 2. I think now I use about 3/4 of an oz. of formula.  He seems to get annoyed if it's too watery.  I never even read the directions, whoops!

they don't all have good directions. i bought gerber rice cereal and it said just to add water/formula/juice until desired consistency.

The directions on the Gerber box make way too much for the first few times you're giving rice cereal... at least IMO

no i'm not.  i have a box on my kitchen table.  it has directions on the side of the box.  way to hold a grudge though.

  • Someone once suggested a ratio of 3 to 1; breastmilk to cereal.
