My mom keeps telling me that once you start solids LO will sleep through the night. True or False? I haven't started solids yet and nor am I betting on the STTN but I thought I would see what your situations were.

DS used to sleep through the night, he started at about 4 weeks. Than at 4 months started waking up, at 5 months we introduced solids and he is still not making it through.
It worked for us with DS, but not with DD. I think it's less a direct corrleation of cereal to STTN, but the timing/age of your DC when you start solids is usually around when babies naturally start to STTN.

This is sort of what I thought too. I wanted to see if my mom was right. Usually not.

Re: Starting solids and STTN
TOTALLY FALSE!!!! As a matter of fact I started solids 2 weeks ago and he is sleeping worse.
Plus in the beginning they eat so little it won't matter. Maybe it will help when they eat more than a few teaspoons of food.
For us, DS STTN when he wants too and it seems to have nothing to do with solids or how much he eats before bed. It STTN when he wants to.
