Eye & Hair color

Holly looks just like DH, so I don't expect she'll have my coloring...(blonde hair/blue eyes).  I've always heard it takes several months for a baby's permanent eye color to be established. Holly's are already clearly brown--they really don't have blue to them at all anymore. Her hair is light brown, with a red tone--especially the "downy" hair around her temples. DH has red hair and brown eyes. So I wonder if her hair will actually turn red or not. I kinda hope so. :-) Don't infants lose their first hair and new hair grows in? When does this happen? I know its hard to tell what color hair she'll have as a bigger kid and/or adult. I know my brother was born with dark hair, then had blonde hair as a toddler, and now it's dark brown, almost black...

Just curious!

    DD started lossing her hair around 3 months old. ?She still has a little bit of her newborn hair on the back by her neck but that's it. ?She was born with very dark brown hair but all her new hair is blond (which we expected -- DH was born with dark brown hair but both him and I are blonds). ?Her eye color continued to get blue from the beginning and now is very blue.

    Nate was born with dark hair and it started to really fall out around 3 months.  By the time he was 5 months old, he already had a lot of his "new" hair.  It's kind of a dark blonde color, I guess.  His hair keeps getting thicker and thicker as he gets older.

    So far DS' eyes have stayed blue, a beautiful brilliant blue, and his hair is still blonde.  When he was born his hair was blonde blonde, but now it kinda has a strawberry hue to it.  He did lose his first hair, all of it, and it started coming back a little around 6 months, and in the past month or so has really thickened up. 

    It sounds to me like she'll definitely have brown eyes.  But the hair is questionable.  Kids hair color changes so much, both ways, so it's impossible to know.  I hope Eli keeps his blonde hair, strawberry or golden, but DH has light brown hair now, so who knows?

    Cam was born with dark hair and blue eyes.  I don't remember her losing all her hair.  But her hair is a sandy blonde/light brown just like mine now and her eyes have turned green like mine.

    Ben was born with black wavy hair and blue eyes.  I forget when it started falling out, but it's come back in reddish blonde.  Bif has red hair, I have brown hair.  Ben mostly looks like Bif though.

    Ashley was born with dark brown hair. I think it started to fall out around 3 months and then started coming back in blond. It is really blond now, I hope it stays that way. Although I did find a random PITCH BLACK hair on her head the other day, very very weird!! Her eyes have always been blue.

    Connor's eyes have always been blue.  When he was born his hair was more of a strawberry blonde, you could definately see tints of red in it.  Then it turned the very light blonde that it is now.  Like lah, I hope it stays this blonde but I too find the random pitch black hair in there sometimes.

    Avery's eyes have changed from the dark "newborn" blue to a very light blue color (similar to mind and DH's). She had really dark brown hair when she was born, which all fell out gradually from 6 weeks to 2 mos. It's sorta starting to come back, but not really. What is there is light brown and blond. I don't expect her to have much hair for a while...as I had almost no hair until I was 2. I was blonde as a kid, DH is brunette.
