Hey all... last night I tried to trick my m/s by eating my old faithful to keep the food down.. no luck. Tossed and turned all night and still feel grossly nauseas... really want to overcome this m/s but still no luck.
QOTD: no, we've decided pictures but not video, and they will be waist-up pictures not anything waist-down.
No video of the birth. Maybe some "we're on the way to the hospital", "here I am in my room" type of shots, but none of the baby's head on the way out. Then the videos will begin!
Heard the heartbeat on Monday, very exciting. Woke up today feeling rather like crap, hopefully it'll pass.
August 16th, will be surprised, and photos only after and waist up!

My 1st appt is supposed to be tomorrow (it has already been rescheduled 2 times...so I'm going to try and not get too excited until I'm actually sitting in the doctor's office!)
Wow, it's been awhile since I checked in. My due date has been moved to August 6th, by the way!!
I'm still battling constant m/s and week 11 brough a new development...severe constipation. UGH!! My next dr. appt is on Feb. 3rd!
Wednesday QOTD: Would you let someone video the birth? Why or why not?
NO VIDEO!! Neither my hubby nor I want to see the baby coming out when it's actually happening, let alone on videotape later. And I would never let friends/family watch it. I'm not opposed to pictures from the waist up, especially one of the first time I hold the baby and I'm sure my hubby will get one of me crying hysterically afterwards (because I already know that WILL happen. LOL)
I feel like i have neglected my august beach babies! I have been on and off lately b/c i am just so exhausted and when i come home from work i just want to sleep or at least lay in bed. I have started to notice that I am out of breath a lot faster lately, and i am a small in shape girl here. Ohh the wonderful things to come! Like headaches,which suddenly appeared out of nowhere in the end of the 9th week, I have tried to see their way out but they don't leave! hopefully soon though. And the m/s is not letting up either. so I guess I just wait for that miracle day when I feel great and the remainings of 1st tri are no longer around!
QOTD: no video during birth but def before and after we will. Pics A Plenty. I guess I don't care about the pictures and what we might capture of the birth with those b/c i can delete them before someone takes the camera and looks. plus there is no sound on the pics so you won't be able to hear me screaming! lol
My EDD has changed - could you move me from Aug 18 to the 28th, please?

We had a secong sonogram yesterday - there was some minor concern over the first one...but everything looks good!
Not sure how I feel about a video. Doubt it is something we will do, but I am not totally opposed to the idea. We recently found some pics of when I was born and it was kind of neat seeing the grossness, but nature of giving birth, and having it be a personal thing, not some random woman on a video or tv.

Absolutely No Video for me. I will have enough stress on me, I don't need to worry about how I may look in a video. Ugh. No thank you. I will have my h husband take pics of the baby right away but none that will include any private areas on mommy. More power to those who will tape their birth it's just not me, I'm very modest and private about that type of stuff.

Absolutly not! No one needs to see what's going on down there, it would no be pretty, lol! DH will have the camera to take pictures of the baby once it's out, but no pics of the war zone!

Just back from Mexico, it was an GREAT vacation, much needed.
We have our Dr's appointment today at 11am, I am very excited.
No video of the birth, its just me and DH in the room, and he is busy cheering me on.

Missed Monday's check-in, but I did go to the inauguration yesterday. Overall, it was a PITA but cool to be able to have been there. If I ever go to an inauguration again, though, I will book a hotel waaay ahead of time and stay down there for several days. The traffic (cars & people) was just awful.

Like most pp said... absolutely not. I would never want to watch it nor let anyone else watch it, so there's no reason to.

My rescheduled second appointment is this afternoon, cross fingers for a heartbeat! ?This will be our first confirmation that there's really something alive in there!?
I don't think I want it video taped, but we do have a professional type camera so i want lots of pictures!
*Oh and I think i'm changing my mind about the sex being a surprise until the birth... DH has been good at convincing me to find out at the 20wk ultrasound!
M/S seems to be getting worse, not better

now, for the question... no way! i don't even want DH to watch the festivities, just sit by me and hold my hand!
QOTD: HECK NO there will be no video of this birth. I'm pretty sure my husband thinks he is going to play camera man but no way. Still shots are ok. Also, I don't think I want any extra people (or eyes) in that room when i give birth. Just me, him and the medical staff!
Hi! I'd like to be added to the list! My EDD is August 25th.
QOTD: There's pretty much no way I'd let anyone videotape my labor and/or delivery. DH took a few pictures of me while having DD#1 (from the waist up!) and they are very weird to look at. I don't like to remember looking like I did and in so much pain. So, definitely no videos for me!

NO WAY! there will be no videos of the birth, I wont mind regualr pictures of me and the baby, but not during the birth!
No birth video for us. Honestly, I wouldn't want to watch it myself, and I especially wouldn't want anyone else to see it. I don't mind pictures from the waist up, but that's about it.

There is no way that there will ever be a video displaying anything down there. The only people that need to see what is going on is DH and Medical Staff.
It's so weird...I've had no ms for at least a week. Then bam! I'm at the office right now eating crackers trying to hold my breakfast down. I almost feel worse than I did before and I'm almost done with the first tri! I was so excited that I was starting to feel better too. Oh well, hopefully soon it'll be gone.
As far as video of the birth no. Probably before and after though!

I would because I have video taped a birth for a friend b4 and did it in such a way that nothing showed and it is wonderful to watch so I know it can be done right. Also my DH is a video editor/producer so he wants to document the whole pg on tape and make a movie set to music and with still pictures. I also have to have a c-section so I am curious how that will video! Has anyone done that?
Update I had my first appointment on Monday, I was so sure of my dates and everything but I guess life gives us suprises. My EDD is now August 3rd! I skipped 4 weeks of pg...lol. Please update my EDD and I guess I will be moving over to the 2nd tri next week

We might video the birth, but that all depends on the situation. If the baby comes early, we have the chance that DH would be out of town working. If he cant get home in time we will definitely video the birth. If DH is here, the I for sure don't want to video the birth. I'm pretty sure I'll be waiting around for this baby to get here though, being our first and I was 2 weeks over due when born . . . so hopefully things will work out for DH to be home.
I do not think I would want my birth video taped. All I have in mind when you ask that is my step-grandpa that video taped the birth of my brother. You do not even see who is giving birth. It was really gross and my mom liked to show it to us when we were younger as birth control!! But I do think I would like to have some pictures taken...
