Illinois does. The law in IL was covered during our IVF seminar since about half the RE's clients are from IL.

In these states, as long as your employer has more than 50 employees, infertility insurance coverage MUST be provided. Here are the 15 states that require this coverage:

With all the new changes in government, it's a great time to write letters to our president and congresspeople who will be looking at health care reform soon to let them know how you feel about coverage for IF.

Our beautiful daughter was born in October 2009. Turns out she was quite the miracle. After two years of TTC, diagnosed with DOR. A couple of failed treatment cycles later, we decided to let go of our hope for more biological children and explore adoption.
Hawaii was a no go , I think he is set on Colorado Springs.
Woohoo! That's where I live.
CO is not an IF coverage mandate state. I do, however have coverage. If your hubby happens to want a job in the defense industry I can tell him where to apply

LO #1 - Took 2 years and 2 IVFs ~ DX - severe MFI mild PCOS homozygous MTHFR (a1298c)
LO #2 - TTC 7 months, surprise spontaneous BFP!
Texas' mandated coverage is pretty thin though. It has to be recent because when I looked in September when I was pregnant I noticed that infertility testing was covered when it previously had not been covered.
No procedures are covered by my insurance though, only testing. Obviously, that will vary by insurance companies, but since mine tends to just cover what they are legally required to cover, I'd wager that is the basics (just like their legally mandated coverage of midwives).

FYI, if companies are "self-insured" then they're usually excluded from state mandates. It's sometimes hard to know if a company is self-insured unless you ask because most use one of the health insurance companies to manage the program.

Ditto easjer....TX mandates are CRAP. Its optional for employers and expensive I would assume...therefore most employers insurance won't cover it.
Yeah, I was going to say that I had a friend in TX who had IVF. She got a discount cause her hubby worked for the hospital, but it was still very expensive.
Re: What states have mandated IF covearge?
well, don't look at California then. We suck in this area.
isn't there some eastern state like Maryland or Massachusetts or something?

Looks like alot of them exclude IVF, but some coverage is better than nothing.
I saw that, but I can live without snow in Hawaii. I am off to convince Dh he needs a job in Hawaii.
