I am assuming you're not talking about the different opinions on pb and allergies, but more of the salmonella outbreak which is a valid concern.
Because you don't know the source of the pb in those cookies, I would not risk it. I made my own pb cookies the other day with all natural pb and I think that is different than the pb from who knows where in processed snacks and such.
Yes a salmonella outbreak. The news is saying to not eat any snack food/packaged food made w/ peanut butter. And lots of companies are recalling their products.
Subway is such a big company, I'm sure if the PB that they use in the cookies was even the tiniest bit likely to be contaminated, they wouldn't be selling them.
Enjoy it!

from usa today just FYI (doesn't help with the cookie situation)
While snack products are potentially contaminated, supermarket peanut butter is not.
It appears that the only peanut butter linked to
the outbreak was an institutional brand sold in 5 to 50 pounds tubs to
schools, hospitals and nursing homes under the King Nut and Parnell's
Pride label. It was never sold at the retail level and is not available
at supermarkets and grocery stores, FDA says.

I do agree with this in theory, but Ithink this is all so new and happening so fast, they might not even be caught up on it yet. I doubt ANY company is going to sell something they think is contaminated, yet it happens all the time because they simply don't know, so I wouldn't want to risk it.

Yep, she's right! Personally, I would not eat the cookie.
haha very when DH's work depends on it! I hate hearing how many people got shot in a days time so I only turn it on for the weather.
I agree, the news can be so depressing! I've been so lazy lately and haven't really been getting out though so I feel like I need some outlet to that real world out there. haha
I assume this is about the salmonella (sp?) in pb, not it making our babies allergic...from what i know, the pb was some random generic brand than i have never heard, but if it were me i would just stick with pb in a well known name brand jar until the salmonella (sp?) scare is over...

There is a HUGE outbreak right now .... Little Debbie products, Austin and Keebler are all impacted and are recalling their products. Also one of the peanut butter manufacturers (not sure who they distribute to) have found trace amounts of bacteria. Subway might not know when they will be impacted.
I told DH to throw out all of the PB cracker we have in the house. We have two jars of PB that I believe are fine since we have been eating them.
Do what ever makes you feel best. I am being ultra cautious this pregnancy.
