Confused by interwebz drama again...

So I was browsing through the posts from earlier to see what everyone had been talking about today and noticed that *gasp* drama has been happening on 0-6 and to a lesser extent here.  Not an unusual occurence in and of itself but there seemed to be allusions to threads being deleted by the Nest Gods and people getting banned possibly. 

So are the Nest Gods actually deleting threads in a timely fashion and using their powers of bannation with abandon?  Or did something other than the usual drama happen?  Or what?

(And, yes, I am bored.  Yes, I know it doesn't really matter.  But, you know, curiousity and all...)

    I've gotten the impression that the NG are carefully backing away from their earlier claims that they would shut drama down & ban people if necessary.  They really don't have the manpower, or seem to want to, and saying that they have zero tolerance but not following through opens them up for legal liability.

    Ohhhhhhhh... I didn't realize Chalm and MommaBrown were not on good terms... Did either get banned?

    Is the firearms to a G2G thing a joke that pissed people off, then?

    What the hell happened with Chalm?  I'm so confused.  I thought I was on here a lot, but clearly not since IDK what the hell is going on.

    Re: the firearms post on the first tri...it was a joke.  IDK how to link, but long story short is that one nestie said her nestie friend that her DH was afraid something bad would happen to her at the GTG (you never know who you're dealing with on the interweb) and her nestie friend said I've got your back.  She jokingly posted a pic of gun.  I think it's been blown a little out of proportion.

    this was on 0-6.  in FFFC.  there is a G2G this weekend.

    Mommabrown and Chalmette don't have screen names anymore, so I guess they were banned?

    Just a PSA to the more active ladies: it is very easy to find your real names on Facebook.  I looked out of curiosity and probably saw 50 Nesties in about 10 minutes of clicking.  Not that it's a big deal. Some people know my real name; I don't know what difference it makes.  But just because posting one gets you banned, don't assume your real name is really all that secret.

    And I agree with you, gatogrrl re: the facebook thing.  ::: shrugs ::: Such are the interwebz...

    Oh, that's good! 

    I just checked over there and now it's a giant AE-fest... but the mean kind of AE.  There's no more 3 day waiting period to get a screenname, apparently.
