What happened to you...

when you went to your doctor's appointment to discuss infertility?  I have been pregnant twice and had 2 miscarriages in the last year, one at 6 weeks and one at 8.  I am getting nervous about my appt tomorrow, any suggestions on what to expect would be awesome.  Thanks!

    Hey honey... I'm sorry you're nervous.  To combat this, write down all your questions before so you don't forget.

    I got KU twice easily, and then it took a year before we sought out help.  I had recurrent pregnancy loss testing and discovered a clotting disorder and we did fertility testing on me and DH.  I had an HSG and some bloodwork - everything came back fine.  DH's tests came back to show he has fertility problems.  Because of that, we are doing medicated IUIs.

    With intfertility and 2 miscarriages here is what I would ask for: fertility blood levels for you, a semen analysis for DH, an HSG for you, and RPL (recurrent pregnancy loss) testing for you.  It's a lot of blood work but it's worth it.  I would also ask what your doctor thinks the next step would be.

    I strongly recommend going to a reproductive endocrinologist.  OBs are more consumed with delivering babies.  My RE is the greatest.  He's like family now.
