I am 9 weeks pregnant and this is my first pregnancy. I was hoping to lose weight before getting pregnant but I am worried that I will gain a lot of weight being pregnant. Has anyone else struggled with this?
I struggle with that every pregnancy. With my son I was really active, only gained 25lbs and lost them all and more in 6 weeks. With my second I gained about the same but I wasn’t as active and weighed a little more before pregnancy. Now I finally lost everything from my second baby and got pregnant again. I am super scared about gaining weight, but while I am pregnant I try to eat healthy and do as much exercise as possible. I know this time might be harder to lose weight but since I have body complexes I will do anything after the baby to lose the weight. For now I just focus on the baby mostly.
During my first I gained a lot but I was a twig before I got pregnant. This one seems like I'm about the same weight as pre pregnancy but I won't know for a while lol. A lot of women gain and lose weight during pregnancy and even stay the same it's all random. You can always talk to your doctor about your concerns though!
It's completely understandable to feel nervous about weight gain. Many factors can contribute to changes in weight, including stress, lifestyle changes, diet, sleep patterns, and overall health. Instead of focusing solely on the number on the scale, it can be helpful to pay attention to overall well-being, energy levels, and healthy habits. Small, consistent changes often have a greater long-term impact than drastic measures. Being patient with yourself and focusing on sustainable routines can make the process feel much more manageable. Just as long-term planning is important for rental companies in Milwaukee, taking a balanced and steady approach to health goals often leads to the best results.
I felt exactly the same early on. I had goals before getting pregnant too, so it was definitely an adjustment mentally.
What helped me was reminding myself that this isn't the season to focus on losing weight. My goal became nourishing my baby and taking care of myself. Everyone gains differently, and your provider will keep an eye on what's healthy for you throughout your pregnancy.
Try to be kind to yourself. There will be plenty of time to focus on your own goals after your little one arrives. 🤍
I totally understand why you're feeling this way. I had goals before getting pregnant too, so it took a little while to shift my mindset.
What helped me was reminding myself that this season is about nourishing my body and my baby, not chasing a number on the scale. I focused on eating balanced meals, staying active when I felt up to it, and keeping up with my prenatal. I use the prenatal gummies from BabyBlues because they were easy to stay consistent with, especially on days when I didn't feel like eating much.
There will be time to focus on weight after pregnancy. Right now, you're doing something incredible.
