Pregnancy Symptoms

Hello everyone! I’m curious what symptoms you’re experiencing. I was super tired and nauseous when I was pregnant with my first two kids. With this one, my boobs are a little sore (but not much) and I’m very, very irritable 😬 I also get really hungry. I ate a huge sandwich before DH could even sit down at the table and then ate the rest of his sandwich a few days ago 😂 I know every pregnancy is different and would love to hear how it’s going for everyone else!

Hey we needed a good first trimester symptoms thread, I'm glad you started this! I put mine in the intro thread but I'll post here too. The biggest ones are: nausea, vivid dreams, feeling hot all the time, swollen boobs, aversion to smelling anything, patience feels a little low, my nips are sensitive but true boob soreness hasn't set in yet. My face broke out, I also had implantation cramps a few days ago, also feeling like crying about everything and generally heightened anxiety.

  • I was nauseous w my last 2 as well. Not with this one so far! Up until today I just had fatigue. Then all of the sudden the back pain and RLS kicked in today.

Oh nooo not rls 😭 does magnesium help any? I swear by my magnesium lotion before bed, I can't be dealing with rls at allll
  • So far I’ve just been REALLY hungry, irritable, and definitely tired. My boobs are a little sore, but it definitely gets worse as the day progresses 😭
  • Every pregnancy really can be so different! With my first I had a lot of nausea and tiredness, but with my kids it was more mood swings and being extra hungry 😄 Funny how it changes each time.
  • I've been exhausted, nauseous, back pain, tender boobs. all the fun stuff. one thing I've also had that doesnt seem as common is diarrhea?? it's been about a week. i was panicked but last night i found a couple of Reddit threads where people talked about having diarrhea their whole first trimester (or beyond ☠️), so I'm feeling less worried about it now. still made an appointment to talk to my doctor on Monday however.
  • Has anyone experienced any hip pain this early on? I get these random pains a couple times a day in my right hip towards the front/closer to my pelvic bone, but also towards the back of my hip, towards my butt. Like it’s not back pain, but in my hip.

It does not! I have RLS generally, pregnancy just makes it worse. Heat is the only thing that helps but that's not hard to live with
  • the irritability is SO real, poor Jake asked me something totally normal yesterday and I nearly bit his head off 😬 this is my first so I keep googling whether every little thing is normal. for me the earliest signs were sore boobs and this bottomless hunger, I get hangry in a way I never used to. hope this one stays kind to you 💛
  • I have nausea + heartburn most of the days and nights. Vitamin b6 doesn’t do anything for me and I can’t take unisom because it just knocks me out. Besides ginger, any ideas?
  • The nausea and heartburn hitting at the same time is such a rough hand, I'm sorry. What actually moved the needle for me was tiny protein snacks every couple hours so my stomach was never totally empty, plus keeping cold things like frozen grapes or plain yogurt around, and not lying down for a bit after eating helped the heartburn side. Honestly my husband Jake built me a pregnancy nutrition app called Mombite so I'm biased, but tracking which foods settled me versus set me off was what finally got me eating again.

With mine, the exhaustion and hunger definitely surprised me the most. I felt like I was constantly looking for my next snack. 😂
One thing I stayed consistent with was my prenatal gummies, which I used from this brand called Baby Blues if anyone's wondering. They were easy on my stomach and made it easier to keep up with my nutrition, especially on the days when eating felt like a challenge.
  • The constant snack-hunting was basically my whole first trimester too, i felt like a raccoon going through the kitchen every hour lol. Staying consistent was the hard part for me, my husband Jake built me a pregnancy nutrition app called Mombite so i'm biased, but having something nudge me on the days eating felt like a chore genuinely helped. Glad you found gummies that sit okay, that's half the battle some days.
