I’m 6 weeks 5 days pregnant and have very painful lower back pain 🥺 I have a high pain tolerance but this pain has caused me to sweat profusely and cry hard. Is this normal and what can I do for relief 🥺
I would ask an OB, as I have not experienced it being to that level. However, I read somewhere that it is ok to use a heating pad for your back as long as it is not too hot and keep it on for only about 20 mins. I had minor-moderate back discomfort early in the first trimester, and this helped.
I had really bad lower back pain early on too and it honestly surprised me how intense it could get. The hormonal changes can loosen everything and it can hit your lower back pretty hard.
A few things that helped me were using a heating pad on low, gentle stretching, and trying to be mindful of posture, especially when sitting or getting up. Sleeping with a pillow between your legs can also take some pressure off.
That said, if it’s making you sweat and cry, I’d definitely mention it to your doctor just to be safe and rule anything else out. You shouldn’t have to just push through that level of pain 🤍
