Books for toddlers

what kind of books do you read to your little ones?

Re: Books for toddlers

  • Things that are short and require the least amount of actions since I know that I will be made to repeat it, and repeat it, and repeat it. But my little one is loving the "That's not my..." series by Fiona Watt. Short and has textures for them to feel. Love it. What's yours reading?

  • My kids adore Oliver series, particulary about Lying  and Teach Your Dragon Series

  • Board books are a lifesaver! They can handle being chewed on and thrown around. 😂

They’re really into books with repetition and silly sounds. The Pout-Pout Fish and Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus are in heavy rotation.

I love reading classics like Goodnight Moon, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and Where the Wild Things Are to my little ones.  Sometimes I find great storybooks and educational toys on aliexpress that really keep them engaged. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for affordable options!
  • Watching this thread! We’re at this stage too and I'm looking for good book suggestions.

When we have a bit more time (and patience), I love books with gentle messages about kindness, sharing, or friendship. Titles like “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” “Guess How Much I Love You” “The Pout-Pout Fish” always spark sweet little conversations.
  • A small, rechargeable lamp that you can move around is incredibly practical. Some have touch controls that let you adjust brightness with one tap — no fumbling for switches while holding a sleepy baby.
