March 2026 Babies

Symtpoms

Anyone have any symptoms already? Let’s complain together!

I’m only 3+4 so still super early. I am so exhausted. I don’t remember being this exhausted this early on. I have a weird smell and taste in my mouth that won’t go away. I can’t even describe them. I don’t think I have ever had this either. I had a hard time with some of the smells at the fair the other day. No nausea yet.

Re: Symtpoms

  • @emeraldcity603 my chief complaints right now are cramps and tender breasts. And I’m peeing a lot!

  • @fifilala516 I have cramps off and on. Nothing that is abnormal thankfully. It’s like a dull ache. I’m still breastfeeding so my breasts aren’t sore at all.
  • @emeraldcity603 i was just having some anxiety this morning about how my boobs don't hurt and that's been my first symptom with all my babies! But I'm still nursing our newly 2yo. That makes me feel better!

I have had hyperemesis gravidarum with my 3 previous babies, and so far (5w today) I'm only mildly nauseated and really no other symptoms. I'm hopeful this means maybe I won't have HG this time but it's also kind of a mind game wondering why I don't have more symptoms.

Been cramping a lot for sure! It’s my first pregnancy so not sure what to expect, but I think that’s normal. On week 5 and a half!
  • @thescarletmom Every pregnancy can be different. I have had zero nausea with some pregnancies and only diarrhea. No one talks about the diarrhea. Lol
  • @emeraldcity603 no one!!! You're so right though, and I'm currently living it lol.
  • Second pregnancy here! I don't remember being this exhausted either my first pregnancy. Majority of symptoms right now are increased urination, fatigue, and very tender breasts. Due in March! So very excited for this pregnancy. <3
  • I was queasy most of the day yesterday. Just a nagging sensation in the background. I was hoping that would wait until 6 weeks.
  • I got an rx for diclegis yesterday and the directions said take at bedtime, and so I took it at my kids bedtime hoping to be asleep in short order after them. We'll, 1. I was wrong, and 2. I ended up being *more* nauseated. I know usually medications have you take at bedtime if they'll cause nausea or tiredness and I thought certainly an anti nausea wouldn't cause nausea, right?? Anyone else have this experience with diclegis?
  • The cramps are throwing me for a loop. I know it's normal - and it's not severe, and it's on both sides - but I don't remember really experiencing this with my first pregnancy.
  • I am 3w4d with my 4th pregnancy, but this rainbow baby will be my third child.
I’ve had a ton of afternoon fatigue and naps everyday since 6 dpo. Intermittent cramping has also been consistently occurring since 6dpo. No nausea yet however every night I’ve had multiple vivid strange dreams.
Also increased urination over the last 4 days!

Hey! When you get a chance can you change your username? It’s hard to interact with a knottienumbers username. We can’t tag you and reply to you. It’s not a hard process. I posted a thread about it on the page.
  • @fifilala516 I am also having cramping on both sides. Sometimes it does get a bit intense and I panic for a moment. Then I have to calm myself down. There is definitely a difference in the sensation of this type of cramping vs period cramping.

I love reading about everyone’s experiences! I’m currently 6w5d and the biggest symptom I’ve had is the fatigue! First time pregnant. I’m so surprised how much the exhaustion just takes over and I’m not even a napper! Otherwise very queasy/nauseous since last week, but today I did actually get sick. Other random symptoms are cramping, peeing a lot and throughout the night (never used to do that) and being picky about food. Also, it hurts to sneeze! P.S. This is Hilary. I’m working on getting my username changed.
  • Had a couple days of nausea around 10dpo but none since really. I'll get bad headaches every 2-3 days, nothing really helps them which is hard with a toddler running around. At this point I'm just grateful to not be throwing up this time around (hopefully I didn't just jinx myself). I'm trying not to stress myself out over my lack of symptoms, logically I know it doesn't mean anythings wrong but so far it just so different from my first pregnancy.
  • I think I just felt Braxton Hicks kind of pain for a few seconds and allot of movent and cramps as well. Got really mad before the really sad just before them.
  • We are literally same days! I am 6w6days, and it hurts to sneeze also. I have to tighten my stomach and hold my tummy before sneezing. Always been a rough sneezer lol. Second trimester usually brings the energy back around, first trimester is very tiring. All our blood flow is going to creating a human and the hormones make us very tired too. I'm experiencing some pain too and little tasks make me so fatigued.

The movement is gas. Gassiness can happen when your progesterone is increasing. Also, stretching and cramping is normal. I would imagine full uterine tightening isn’t normal at this stage.

It was so bad of a pain that I thought I was going to go the er but it stopped in a minute so I think I am ok.

  • I was wondering has anyone tried the Sea Bands to help with nausea? I was thinking I’d purchase and give it a whirl. Feels like I have nothing to lose 😂
  • @hilaryandbaby1 i have tried seabands and they were too uncomfortable to be helpful for me. Like the little hard bump thats supposed to press into your wrist just hurt for me personally lol. There are lots of things to try but if you want to give them a whirl, I know tons of people swear by them!
  • @hilaryandbaby1 I have a friend who swears by those bands. I tried them and they didn’t work for me for pregnancy. My friend uses them for sea sickness. So different mechanisms causing the nausea.
  • Soooo much nausea and vomiting - terrible! Took the dog out this morning and ended up puking in the grass while she did her business 🤦‍♀️

7 weeks today with my first (and possibly only cause this nausea is miserable).

Ordered some of the acupressure bands so I hope they work!
  • I was not prepared to start showing so early. 8+3 and my clothes are so uncomfortable, is this normal for baby #2?? With my first I didn't show until nearly 30 weeks. I fit my jeans even until after my anatomy scan. Someone tell me it doesn't mean I'm having twins.
  • Me!! I am 4W 3D and in the morning and evening my boobs are sore, sweaty and heavy. I also get mild cramps and abdominal soreness on and off throughout the day and am ravenously hungry!
  • @lizdiane456 definitely doesn't mean twins! I was the same, itty bitty with first baby until I was at least 20 wks, and then by 6 weeks with second baby I felt like nothing fit. I think it's your body's muscle memory to a grand extent, and most women do have at least some ab separation after a first pregnancy, which causes you to show sooner! I also didn't experience any bloating with my first baby, but have with #2-4. I avoid rigid/structured clothes at all costs in pregnancy now.
  • @lizdiane456 Yes, it’s normal. I didn’t show until the third trimester with my first and then with my second it was much sooner. I agree about the ab separation playing a part. They hold on for dear life the first pregnancy and then once they give up you pop. They just aren’t as strong the second time around. Also bloat is absolutely a thing that causes me to “show” so soon. Last pregnancy someone working at a clothing store told me about their maternity sale when I walked in and I was only 8 weeks. I was shocked.

As for me, fatigue is kicking my butt! The nausea is hitting me hard this week. It’s not even full force but it’s going strong.
  • @emeraldcity603 ooof, I would not have been pleased at 8 weeks! I'm extremely bloated right now at 7 weeks, but not bloated enough I think anybody with good sense would comment on my "bump".

The nausea has been extreme this week. I've lost 8lbs in the last 10 days! I haven't been able to keep almost anything down the entire week until today. I feel bad for my husband and kids, I know they miss me.
  • My symptoms this week, especially the nausea have not been as bad. Instead of feeling sick all day, I’ve had just a few minutes here or there that I feel sick. Also with the fatigue.. last week I could barely stay awake and had to nap in the middle of the day. This week I am tired, but I still have the energy to get through the work day. I’m trying to not get in my head about the symptoms chilling out. I have been spending more time outside in the fresh air and am wondering if this is having an effect. Our next appointment won’t be probably for another 4-5 weeks, so just trying to have faith. Has anyone else experienced this?
  • @hilaryandbaby1 symptoms are ALWAYS in flux!! It's super normal! Like I had 2 or 3 days of randomly feeling great (all things considered) this week, and then got right back to feeling crummy lol. While it can feel very comforting to have symptoms to make you feel like things are as they should be, I wouldn't freak about any change in early preg symptoms, unless they're accompanied by severe back pain, cramping and/or bleeding.
  • Last week my symptoms were way worse than this week. I have had slight nausea here and there but nothing too crazy. I almost feel like the more active I am the better I feel.
  • I feel like my nausea only relents when I give in and eat my sudden weird cravings. When I carefully track protein, fiber, veggies, and fruit, I end up feeling sick morning to night. I give in and ask my husband for McDonald's? Feel fabulous the next day. I feel like I try to do the right thing and my body's like 'nah babe, give in to the darkness or else'.
  • I will say fresh air and activity have helped when I can manage - also roasted edemame are my last ditch healthy nausea vanguard.
  • @danglangcat89 my midwife always said that it's better to give in to a craving, eat it once and get it out of your system, and then you can actually enjoy your balanced diet instead of always feeling that nagging. Also, McDonald's french fries have been an utter hit this pregnancy and I never eat McDonald's so I'm right there with you 😂
  • I’ve always had a healthy relationship with my weight but is it normal to have already gained 5Ibs in the first 8 weeks? For context, I’m only 5’1 so that’s a big jump for me! I’ve definitely been eating more, but not that much more. And I try to choose / cook protein heavy snacks and meals.
  • Anyone else super irritable and emotional? I’m ready to cuss out anyone who even looks at me wrong right now and everything feels so big and overwhelming. The (2nd) pregnancy is welcome (even if the timing is super inconvenient), but I’m just so angry at everything right now.

@carrieron21 & @millie529 I'm not sure if anyone is reading the weekly synopsis of what to expect week by week but they have some solid explanation of the week by week symptoms. Irritability, mood swings, fatigue, increased urination, constipation, weight gain/loss, heightened sense of smell, dehydration, headaches, back pain, uterus is expanding so bloating, and even heart burn due to the relaxin are all happening now, with 9 weeks being at its peak also due to the HCG levels coursing in our bodies. Once the second trimester comes into play these hormone levels will level out and we should get some normalizing out with all of those symptoms. You are not alone sister, I have been feeling a little bit of everything. Just today 08/01 I went out to get some ginger hard candies and those sour pregnancy hard suckers also to try them out because nausea has changed to not only at night but all throughout the day for me now. Highly recommend browsing through the articles in this app too, you can search for certain terms and take a peek at what pops up. Hang in there! 🫶
  • @carrieron21 not trying to freak you out because irritability and mood swings are absolutely normal at this stage, but just keep an eye on it if it gets worse/doesn't start getting better into the second trimester and reach out to professional help if needed. Prenatal depression is almost never talked about and is still pretty stigmatized but it can absolutely wreck havoc. Was legitimately one of the scariest times in my life because I was so unprepared for it
  • I second honoring your emotions and not just putting everything off as something you *have* to endure because mood swings are normal in pregnancy. Yes, you're normal - but that doesn't mean you have to grin and bear it in silence. Get support early because you deserve it, and you shouldn't have to suffer or feel ashamed for needing it. Thats my general response to anyone in any life stage though. Especially when you're growing a whole human and dealing with all the physical, emotional, and social pressures that entails. I already have a perinatal/reproductive psychiatrist on my support team just in case.
  • The nausea is kicking my butt big time. I have so much to do to get my kids ready to start school. I spent the entire summer running and not planning out school year. So I’m scrambling and trying to get enough together so we can start next week. I’m just dying. Plus the fatigue has hit me so hard the last few days.
