Introduce yourself: yay I’ve been waiting for this thread! Hello my name is Keegan, I’m a mom of two already - daughter who is 10 and son who is 6. My husband and I were going to be done but decided to have one more. I am a little nervous about the age gap, but mostly excited. I also help coach my daughter’s fastpitch team!
Due date: December 10th, will likely have a repeat c section on 12/2 if they let me. I went into labor with my son at 38 weeks on the dot and they want to avoid that this time.
How you found out: testing furiously. Got my BFP 9DPO! It was a WHISPER of a line and I thought I was crazy so I waited 4 hours of no water and holding my pee so I could test again and sure enough!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Said above most of it. I work for a university and enroll people for our online programs. I sing, coach fastpitch, like to cook and do artsy things.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I have had symptoms since implantation mostly tender c section incision and fatigue. I also have bleeding gums and super bloated. Fatigue hit much harder today at 4w
i am so excited to be here! We are going to try to keep this secret to ourselves for awhile so that we can shock our families so if you end up knowing me irl shhhhh
Introduce yourself: Hi I'm Jess. I'm a mom to a two year old and have JUST found out I'm pregnant after removing my IUD in January. I am technically 5w1d but I think I only had implantation spotting last week.
Due date: Dec 3, 2025
How you found out: I've had a feeling for a week or so but kept getting negatives on dollar store tests. Got proper tests at work (I work in public health in Canada) and positive this am. Not super strong but positive. Oh crap. I haven't even told MH!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Mom to a two year old boy and wife to my husband. I'm in operations in public health for Canada.
This is my second bump group. Love my first one and have such good friends but this messaging board system doesn't make it easy.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I feel great. I had a wonderful first pregnancy with no adverse events aside from high BP in thir d trimester and induction which I'm going to avoid at all costs this time around. I'm so anxious but excited!!
Introduce yourself: I'm a very excited 38-year-old first-time mum. 4w5d today.
Due date: 6th December
How you found out: We had unexplained infertility for 1.5 years. We did our first medicated IUI 3 weeks ago, so I am being closely monitored. We found out officially through a beta blood test last week (HCG: 220) The doctor said not to get our hopes up as the odds of a success were low... and because of my age, if it failed we'd have to move onto IVF. So we're super excited it worked! Our first ultrasound is on 11th April... can't wait! We had 2 mature follicles... so let's see if there are twins
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am a freelance writer, and I recently moved to Spain with my husband and three cats. I love learning languages in my spare time (German and Spanish at the moment), as well as travelling.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? My symptoms are very mild at the moment (a bit of fatigue and cramping)... I had a lot of symptoms due to all the medication I was taking prior to the IUI (including an HCG trigger shot and I'm still on progesterone suppositories)... and the last few days I've been feeling really good, so I had a bit of a panic yesterday as I thought baby wasn't there anymore. Google assured me it's normal to have fluctuating symptoms, and this morning my test was darker than the control line
Introduce yourself: My name is Lauren and this is my first pregnancy. I am 5w2d. I have genetic generalized anxiety disorder, so this will be an adventure
Due date: Dec 2
How you found out: My cycle hadn’t started yet even though I had the cramps I usually get before my cycle begins. So I figured, whatever, I’ll just take a test. That positive line showed up so fast I hadn’t even put the cover back on the stick yet.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I’ll start with the job since it will explain the pets. I am a high school science teacher, and I absolutely love my job! As a science teacher, I feel like it’s a requirement to have a class pet. In this case it’s pets. I have a snake, tortoise, toad, tarantula, cockroaches (for food for the animals). The students love it. My husband is incredibly supportive and currently working on his degree. Sadly he has been out of work for over a year now. Since he hasn’t gotten his degree yet, it has been a challenge to get interviews. He is super nerdy, like me, which is great.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)?: I haven’t had super bad morning sickness yet, but I have been keeping up on small, frequent meals with lots of fruits and veggies which has helped tremendously. The fatigue is real thought. It’s been rough. Since I have anxiety, the hormones have made it trickier to manage. But it is going ok for now. I am both nervous and excited. I am mainly focused (and excited for) the baby at the end. My biggest concern is recovery postpartum and feeling good in my body again.
Introduce yourself: Hi! I’m Hilary, I’m 31 years old and this is my fourth pregnancy. I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow and I’m already feeling a few things haha
Due date: December 6th
How you found out: My husband and I had been on the fence about trying for a fourth for a while and we finally made the decision to go ahead but since it was already a little late in my cycle I really didn’t think it was going to happen at least until my next cycle. Or maybe that was just me trying not to get my hopes up too much, haha. So day 26 comes around and I’m full blown PMSing. I was so irritable that day and just didn’t want to be touched at all which is very typical for the day before I get my period. So I was fully convinced I was not pregnant. Then my boys asked for oatmeal for breakfast and I involuntarily gagged. I normally love oatmeal for breakfast but for some reason can’t stand it when I’m pregnant and that made me wonder. So, I did a pregnancy test and it was negative. Two days go by and still no period and my apparent PMS symptoms just vanished. That, and my body temperature spiked when it normally doesn’t increase until after my period. So, I tested again on day 28 and got the faintest shadow of a line.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’m the wife of a wonderful man and a mom to three beautiful and energetic boys (5.5, 4, and 1.5). We started home schooling this year and that has been such a blast! We’re hoping for a girl but if I’m being honest, I absolutely LOVE being a boy mom 😜💙
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? The fatigue is hitting hard pretty hard already and I’ve been terribly bloated every evening which hasn’t been fun. And I’m starting to constantly crave cold things which happened later with my other pregnancies. No nausea yet but it’s right around the corner 😅🙊
Introduce yourself: Hi mamas, I’m Stacey and live right outside of Boston. I’m 31 and this my first pregnancy💕
Due date: December 10th
How you found out: I’m a 25-26 day cycle girlie, tested over the weekend and was negative. Then on day 29 I tested again and saw the 2 lines. My husband was shocked to say the least.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): My husband and I both are lawyers so really looking forward to this mom brain everyone keeps talking about 🙃 We have our almost 5 year old golden retriever, Addie, who I can’t wait to watch her be a big sister but also don’t want her to forget she’s still a priority, any tips are welcome! Also I must ask any Toasters or Gigglers here?!
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I cannot sleep through the night and the past 2 days have had a headache and can’t take my prescription migraine meds☹️ what I would do for an Advil right about now!
Introduce yourself: Hi I’m Brooke, 32, 3rd pregnancy.
Due date: Dec 1! so I’m almost 6 weeks.
How you found out: We were on the fence about going for a 3rd but once we decided to try it happened very quickly. Tested at 10DPO and got a faint but clear positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) We recently moved to a new state so I don’t have any of the friends, providers, and support that was so familiar to me before. That will be an adjustment. I loved my midwives from the last 2 pregnancies and had amazing friends previously.
We live near my very helpful and wonderful in-laws, who we were planning to rely on a LOT with baby #3… but my MIL was diagnosed with lymphoma this month (right when we found out we were pregnant..) and will start chemo soon. Selfishly, I’m nervous about doing this without her support because they are all we have here.
It all feels very lonely.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Crazy mood swings, cramps, round ligament pain (already!), peeing all the time.
I'm sorry to hear about your MIL. I understand how you feel about being lonely... we moved to a new country last year (Spain)... we have made some nice friends, but none of them have kids and we still don't really know them that well yet. We are learning Spanish but still don't speak well enough to really integrate. I hope I can find some baby groups/meet other new mums to help on this journey. I'm grateful for the internet and forums like this
Introduce yourself: Hi! I’m Morgan. Im 36 and this will be my 2nd. My first is 14 months old and a very very active little guy! We live in Reno, NV (in the off chance there are any mamas close by 🩷).
Due date: 12/4/25
How you found out: We decided we were ready for another one so they could be close in age and started trying for baby2 at the beginning of the year. I took a test last Saturday night - pregnant! We are very excited for our little Sagittarius baby. Yes, I’m an astrology girl 😂
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) We have our son and fur babies (cats). I work in holistic medicine. I love working out and am hoping to continue to stay active throughout this pregnancy (I did not with my first!). I also like reading and being a boy mom 🥰
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I am very irritable this time around which sucks because I just want to be excited right now! I also feel like a bottomless pit 🙄
TW: loss mentioned Introduce yourself: Hi! I'm Bridget. I am 42 years old, and this is a very nervewracking time for me. My husband and I have a son who's 2.5 years old, his twin brother who was stillborn, and another angel Baby.
Due date: Dec 6 (according to the Bump) but I may go in late November based on having a c-section at 36 weeks last time.
How you found out: my period was a day late so I ordered a test on Amazon and got it delivered same day.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I currently work part time at my church as the pastoral associate. I help plan retreats, support the different ministries, and help plan events. We have an ancient chihuahua who is 16 and makes me absolutely crazy lol. My husband and I will be married for 4 years this August.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I am feeling absolutely drained 100% of the time. Chasing around a toddler while pregnant will do that to you, I guess. I feel like the hungry, hungry caterpillar. Bottomless pit here! I'm very excited, but also very anxious because of our previous losses.
I just found this thread and read all of your replies and would Love love love to meet you all virtually if you're interested! I've been hosting new mommy groups on Sundays as I was feeling lonely traveling full-time with my baby girl and love creating and holding spaces for heart-to- heart connections 💞 Please please message me if you're interested in joining and I'll send all the details and calendar invites! 🙏 Reach me at IG: @kaoricierra Or email me at kaoricierra@gmail.com
Introduce yourself: Kaori Cierra "KC" Yamamoto
Due date: Not sure yet, maybe 12/14/2026?
How you found out: Took a pregnancy test the other day after feeling symptoms and a missed period
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Baby girl is 15 months old. I am an early childhood & human development specialist who leads teacher trainings, parent support groups, and family coaching. We left the corporate world when baby was 7 months to live full-time in our converted skoolie and currently traveling through Baja California, MX.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Shocked. Always knew we wanted a 2nd but planned for next year. I'm 37 years old so I feel this is truly the best time, but sad our time as a new family of 3 turned into 4 quicker than I imagined.
Found Out: peed on a stick and told hubby “looks like I’m a little pregnant”
About me: Hubby and me have 2 boys, age 7.5 and 5.5. Life has settled down enough that we’re finally ready for #3. I’ve been a SAHM most of the boys’ lives but for the last year I’ve been substituting at their school. I also just started training to be a birth doula - so we’ll see how that all unfolds now that I’m pregnant myself.
I love living in Colorado, painting, powerlifting and ballet. I have had 0% motivation to move the last few weeks, though.
Nice meeting you all! One day at a time. Baby steps 👣
Hello all! Very cautiously joining you all. I've been off and on these boards since 2009, when I was pregnant with my very first. I've met some of the most amazing women on here and many whom I still talk with today. So excited to meet another group!!!;
***TW**** We found out we were expecting almost exactly a year ago and ended up having a miscarriage. Very grateful to be pregnant again after a year, but also very nervous to be due the same time as our last loss.
Due date: around 12/22
How you found out: we've been ntnp for a while now and I bought a bunch of test strips. I figured I had them so why not. Definitely wasn't expecting to see a very faint line.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I'm a wife to my high school sweetheart of 20yrs, SAHM and homeschooling mom of 7 amazing boys! We have a small homestead with over 130 animals currently. Chaos doesn't even begin to describe our life but we are so in love and grateful for it!
Wife. Boy mom x6. Expecting #7. Wannabe homesteader. , 💙💙💙💙💙💙
Hi! My name is Caitlyn. I have 3 kids aged 10, 5, 3 and pregnant with hopefully #4. We had a missed miscarriage in December and ended up having a hemorrhage which the I ended up needed a d&c, blood and iron infusions and was in the hospital for 4 days. After that we were going to wait to try again for a while but here we are! My cycles are irregular and longer so I ovulate later but tested positive on 4/5. I’m staying positive and excited to go through this journey with you all. I’m an also a Sonographer so I’m trying to be strong willed enough to not scan myself and just keep faith.
I don't know that I could be that strong willed @caitlync19! 😂
ETA: As a fellow loss mama, I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so scary, especially when you had to have surgery and infusions afterwards. Sending you big hugs (in a non-creepy Internet stranger kind of way).
Hello my name is Mel, I am 37 years old and this is my third pregnancy but had two miscarriages.
EDD: 12.19.2025
How you found out: Have been trying for a few months, was getting period like symptoms but ignored them for a few days because I didn’t want to get my hopes up. I finally decided to take a test and it lit up like a Christmas tree!
I have no human children but lots of pet children. They are my world.
Current symptoms are sore breasts and peeing all the time. I’m trying not to get too excited with the past two miscarriages and I’m hoping to lean on this group and have a successful pregnancy this time around.
Due date: 12/26 but almost guaranteed induction by 39 weeks.
How you found out: I wasn’t keeping a close eye on my cycles (my MIL was here for 6+ weeks, for reasons that would take all day to explain) and my body apparently decided to ovulate 4 days earlier than normal which happened to coincide with the one time in weeks that we actually had sex. I got an Apple health notification that my period would start in the next 7 days, when I went to look to what specific day it was due I noticed the timing and took a test. Literally so faint on a MomMed I thought I had line eye. Confirmed with others afterwards.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Accountant day job. 2 girls 10 and 6. DH has always wanted a 3rd, I was on the fence for a while. Actually we ttc last year, I got laid off, we stopped and this one was totally accidental.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? My boobs are killing me! Some achy pelvic stuff. Peeing a lot but that probably because I upped my water intake. Emotionally surprised and still processing.
this is my backup acct. prevously helloblueeyes
Me:32 DH:33 Married:04/2012 DD:07/2014 BFP 8/14/2018 #2 due 4/18/2019
Introduce yourself: Hello! My name is Cindy, I’m 31 living in beautiful Vermont!
Due date: December 15th
How you found out: I’d been using the Mira hormone monitor, trying to make sure we timed things correctly and I got pregnant right awa!!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have one other kiddo, a wonderfully silly and amazing little boy who is almost two! I have an awesome husband who has just recently helped me transition from working part time nights at the local hospital to being a stay at home mom. Our days are predictably filled with cooking, gardening and trips to the park.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I’m super excited, although it doesn’t even feel real yet! So far I’m just peeing a ton and suffering from insomnia.
Introduce yourself: Hey everyone! I’m Brooke, I’m 25 living in Maine
Due date: December 20th
How you found out: I was having my “normal PMS” symptoms hoping not to get my hopes up just to have another round of negative tests. Then one night I swore my nipples/ areolas looked darker and took a pregnancy test the next day. Sure enough, a very faint positive and more positive tests in the days following.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) This is my first pregnancy. I’m over the moon excited as is my boyfriend. I’m a corrections officer but a few months ago had stepped down to part time status due to moving and distance.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? I’ve definitely been having the worst exhaustion of my life. Along with that, I’m ALWAYS hungry. I also have morning sickness but I don’t really puke unless I encounter a “trigger smell”. And aside from that it’s been sore boobs and some cramping.
Now I’m just anxiously awaiting my first ultrasound! (I’m 5 weeks and 1 day).
Hello all. My name is Eimi (pronounced Amy but written in Spanish ) I'm 42 and live in Puerto Rico
Due date: Dec 10th
How did you find out: pretty regular cycles but took a test after being late about a week. Waited that long because sometimes it'll jump during the year so wasn't expecting a positive.
*TW* parent passed away Tell us about yourself: been with my husband 10 years now. We married in 2022 and went through fertility treatments and 3 IUIs with no luck. After that we just said what will be will be as I had an elderly father I helped and was very emotionally drained. He passed almost exactly a year ago. I had 2 dogs and a cat, then inherited his 4 dogs. It's wild but they're also older and very sweet so we manage. I have very few relatives but my husband's family is huge. I've found peace with everything going on and feel truly blessed to be here now. It's our first pregnancy and we hope everything goes smoothly.
How are you feeling: Not too bad at all. Mostly fatigue and (tmi) some constipation. We just started telling some family and friends. I'm a dog groomer so I'll be telling my boss this week to make adjustments to avoid unnecessary lifting. Truth is, the more people that find out the more stressed I get. Is that normal? I'm going to try and remain zen about it and not let it make me anxious, just maybe need to tune them out for a bit, since so many of my husband's relatives have been hoping for him to become a dad.
I’m Hannah, due with baby #4 on Dec 15. We are so excited!
I currently stay home with my three children, ages 5, 3, and 1.
**Trigger warning: MC**
**I have suffered three miscarriages over the last 6 months and I’m very optimistic but still nervous! We had been trying since July ‘24 so it’s hard to think that I could have been delivering THIS MONTH instead of in Dec. I’m feeling very unwell already in this pregnancy, so I can’t even imagine with 3rd Trimester is going to look like! Wishing you all the best!
Introduce yourself: I'm a 35-year-old FTM, living in Colorado, migrating cautiously from the TTGP board
Due date: December 24
How you found out: beta hCG blood test at 9dp5dt
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) We've got two cats, and I think our orange boi is going to be sad to no longer be the baby in the family! We moved to Colorado for my husband's work a few years ago, but it's growing on me. Still need to find an outdoor hobby—they seem to be a prerequisite for making friends here
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Feeling surprisingly good, just grateful for every day I get with this embryo.
TW: previous losses
This was our fourth FET. The first one implanted but stopped progressing around 6w3d. The second and third failed to implant. Cautiously optimistic this is our take-home baby, but very aware that nothing is a given.
Introduce yourself: My name is Katlin. I’m 35. I live in the PNW. (I updated my username: it is now WarriorPrincessStan)
Due date: Dec 21. But probably will deliver around 37/38 weeks for high risk factors.
How you found out: my husband and I started fertility testing with an RE in February and have been waiting for our follow-up appt. Wasn’t expecting anything to happen as I have low AMH.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a 2.5yo son. I’m currently a SAHM.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? The nausea is so strong already. It started earlier than with my son. Thankfully the vit b6 + unisom is keep the nausea from turning into vomit. Emotionally, I’m excited but also struggling to see how I’m going to survive the nausea.
I’m feeling very unwell already in this pregnancy, so I can’t even imagine with 3rd Trimester is going to look like! Wishing you all the best!
Congratulations! I’m sorry you’re already very unwell, but that doesn’t always dictate the rest of your pregnancy. Take it one day at a time ❤️
Hi everyone!! I’m so happy I found this app and also this support. I’m wishing you all delightful pregnancies, we got this!! My name is Davena, I’m 28 & this is my 1st pregnancy! — also I hope I’m replying to this correctly.
how I found out: We started trying in March , and it happened very quickly. I had a feeling in my body and I decided to test only a couple of days after a missed period. First it was digital at night, and then I took 3 more after I got off of work the following day. My boyfriend and I are ecstatic to become 1st time parents!!!
Due Date: I have my 1st appointment coming up soon so I’m not exactly sure of my due date but based on conception, mid December!!
About me: We have a 5 month old Staff/Pitt, his name is Beaux and we love our pup dearly! I am a breakfast cook for Marriott, I’ve been In food & beverage for 13 years now. In this short time of pregnancy, I may be making my way into a less hazardous career. I normally work action stations and I’m on my feet with no break for 10+ hours getting up at 3:45am . It’s more tough with being pregnant.
Symptoms: I am experiencing mood swings like no other, some cravings for me sparked early. & severe constiaption. I haven’t actually had the severe nausea but the exhaustion comes over me randomly and forces me to sit down.
Introduce yourself: I'm Kay living in the Boston area. I'm 35 and this is my first pregnancy.
Due date: December 28
How you found out: We decided to take my IUD out in January and see what happens. I was in the hospital for unrelated reasons on Sunday and tested negative at 28 days, but I had a nagging feeling so I tested at home the next night and it was positive!
Tell us about yourself: I work in Accounting and Finance (as does my boyfriend of two years). I have an 8 year old Boxer/Setter mix who is not going to know what hits him when this baby arrives. Though he might actually be happy to have a little less attention from us.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? We're both very excited, but a little nervous at how much needs to be done by December. So far I've had fatigue, insomnia, back and body aches, very sore boobs, and I've been sneezing like a mad woman.
Introduce yourself: Hello, everyone! I'm Deanna, and I'm currently living in South Korea. I've been here almost 9 years, and though it's an exciting time, it's difficult to live far from my extended family. I'm 34, and this is my first pregnancy.
Due date: December 2
How you found out: We had been trying unsuccessfully for a while, so we just kind of gave up and stopped tracking obsessively. I was tired of seeing the pregnancy tests in our house, so I took the last test we had floating around on the day I was supposed to have my period, and boom! Surprise (strong) positive!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I was originally teaching when I met my husband in Korea, but I'm currently just a stay-at-home wife. We've been married a little over 2 years, and he's the best partner I could have ever wished for. We were planning to move back to my home country (US) in June, but plans changed when I became pregnant. I love to read, play video games, and travel!
How are you feeling (any symptoms, emotionally)? My two main symptoms are nausea and sore boobs. I want to try some of the remedies I read about in these forums, but so many things that are easily purchased OTC in the States are hard to obtain here in Korea.
Emotionally, I'm still having a hard time believing this is real, even though we heard baby's heartbeat yesterday! I think what gives me more anxiety is being far from my extended family, especially as they're having health problems of their own. Trying to take it one day at a time, and especially trying to enjoy those periods between the bouts of queasiness!
Introduce yourself: Hi everyone! I'm Catherine. I'm pregnant with an unexpected baby number 2. My son turns 10 in a few weeks.
Due date: December 15, just days after my 42nd birthday
How you found out: I had some some mild cramping and PMS symptoms but still hadn't started 2 weeks later. I have PCOS so being late is not abnormal but the cramping continued. I decided to test because I had scheduled a doctor's appointment to discuss a medication change and knew I would be asked about pregnancy.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and I have been married for almost 15 years. We moved across the US a year and a half ago so we are much further away from family than our first pregnancy. I work in permanent supportive housing in the San Francisco Bay area. We live in the complex where I work. All residents are formerly homeless. We have a 6 month old puppy that my son is currently obsessed with.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? So far nothing except some joint stiffness and the mild cramping. Hoping it doesn't cause the food aversion I had with my son.
*****TW*****
I'm a bit nervous. I had a loss 5 years ago around 6 weeks gestation. So far this pregnancy feels much better but it's still in the back of my mind. We'd also intended to stop having babies with my husband's 35th birthday being our cutoff- this was shortly after our loss but that obviously changed our plans.
Would love to connect @nopegoat ! I’m pregnant with #5 and we also live on a farmstead with animals. Looking for other big families to connect with 😊 @nopegoat
Introduce yourself: Hi I’m Amy! I’m almost 39 and have an almost 8 year old and a 5.5 year old! This baby was quite the surprise! We live in the North Phoenix area but are originally from Chicago.
Due date: 12/22
How you found out: my period was due in the next day or 2 but my boobs we’re super sore and then my toothpaste made me want to vomit so I took a test assuming it would be negative. It was not negative. I took another one right after thinking maybe it was a bad test. Still positive. I sat on the floor in shock googling reasons for a false positive test. Then I got 7 more positives over the next few days including a digital.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) we have 2 kids, a girl and a boy. Pets are a bearded dragon, a chameleon and a snake. I work for my dad so it’s super flexible. I go into the office about twice a week right now. It’s a 45 minute drive.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? Still shocked but also excited and nervous. I’ve got sore boobs, exhaustion, nausea and gas and bloat. All the fun things.
Introduce yourself: Hello, everyone! I'm currently living in San Francisco Bay Area. I'm 37, and this is my first pregnancy.
Due date: December 5
How you found out: We had been trying unsuccessfully for an over a year so we were finally thinking of exploring IVF when my period was late. On April’s Fool we found out I am pregnant.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): Husband and I have been married for over a year but dated for 10 years. We are pretty low key these days and enjoy biking, watching movies, and our alone time. We both have tech jobs so with all the layoffs, it’s hard to plan for the future with all the uncertainties but we are trying to take things one day at a time which means staying in our 2br place for now even as we see friends upgrading with their pregnancies. I try to remind myself not to worry and that baby doesn’t need a lot but it’s hard not to!
How are you feeling (any symptoms, emotionally)? My two main symptoms are constantly peeing and sore boobs.
Emotionally, I'm still having a hard time believing this is real even though we had a great first perinatal visit/ ultrasound and heard baby's heartbeat on Friday!
Introduce yourself: Hello mamas! Been terrified to post here but I think LO is sticky enough that I can definitely start talking about it! My name is Belle, friends call me Pebble, I'm 22, and I'm 5w5d w my first!
Due date: Approx Dec 26
How you found out: (tw for health issues and loss) I'd had a partial hysterectomy and excision for endometriosis in december and we'd been trying for over a year before then with absolutely no luck and had already gotten a fertility rec. After my surgery, my hormones and cycle chilled out to 25/26 days but I still ended up having 2 chemical pregnancies (knew early just like this one, then period came a day or 2 early).
This last time, I just knew (again) and didn't wanna test cause I thought it would be the same story, but I woke up at midnight and laid awake for 4 hours before I just decided to say f it and get up and test. Lo and behold, 3w2d I got my BFP!! I woke hubby up crying to tell him and he thought i was hurt lol
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I've been married to my partner since September, together since High school. We have 2 very sweet puppies who won't leave me alone, I'm currently in cosmo school and he's an electrician, so we're busy, but so beyond ready for this little miracle!
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)? My boobs are absolutely killing me, and I'm so sick of ONLY being nauseous when I eat lol, and the fatigue is definitely knocking me on my butt. I'm also freaking myself out cuz I won't be able to see baby for another 4 weeks, and I just want to be able to talk to my Doc about the possibility of seeing their mfm, as was discussed w my specialist after my surgeries.
Introduce yourself: Hello, my name is Jess , I’m 35 and this would be my first pregnancy.
Due date: December 26ish? My last period was after a month of Birth control so I’m not really sure how that affects the date since I wasn’t even sure when I ovulated. I still used the first day of my last period.
How you found out: my cardiologist had asked if I was planning on having kids. There is a medication I was on that wasn’t safe for pregnancy and so he said now would be a good time to safely stop that and then he had no concerns resuming it after I had kids. We decided I would not take the start of my new birth control pack and eventually start seeing if we could try. I was expecting it to take a few months after being on birth control for over ten years for my system to really regulate again. We celebrated our one year at a winery and I tested prior just to be safe since I knew I wasn’t on a pill and anything is possible and it was negative. Enjoyed our day, even got engaged that weekend. Two days later I still felt a little weird, tested again and it was positive 🙃🙃. Was worried that I had drank wine but everyone I’ve spoken to says not to worry about that and it should be OK.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): Engaged to the best man who has two wonderful children already that I have come to love as my own ( they are not with us full time but we love spending as much time as possible with them) I have a 5 year old Great Dane who has always felt like my first baby and 2 spunky cats. I currently work from home
How are you feeling (any symptoms, emotionally)? I felt really nauseous for a few days right when I found out ( part of why I tested again) and then that resolved ( which makes me feel like something is wrong) and I had minor cramping - part of it I felt was more one sided but I had to stay off Google because it convinced me I had every pregnancy complication wrong with me and wasn’t great on my stress. Mostly fatigue and frequent urination.
Emotionally, I'm still not convinced I’m pregnant as horrible as that sounds? I think I’m too scared to be excited right now. I’m hoping that will resolve but I’m not sure reading about all the complication possibilities on the internet was great for me. I like to be realistic but it takes some of the excitement away and I have had friends and family who have experienced loss, so I know the possibilities and have witnessed their pain! My first doctors visit is next week and I’m hoping that will ease some anxiety and I’ll allow myself some excitement!!
I have celiac disease and was told I’m pre diabetic - has anyone gone through either of these while pregnant? Paying attention to diet and trying to control my sugars as much as possible!
Try changing your username it will make it easier to tag you.
I had more nausea right when I I found out and now it’s very hit and miss at 6 weeks. I still have others though so 🤷♀️. Your body isn’t going to make a lot of sense right now.
You can have none of the symptoms and have a healthy thriving pregnancy and you can also have all the symptoms and it can not go well. I know it’s crappy but while symptoms feel reassuring they don’t actually mean much.
Also I had gestational diabetes with my first 2 before being diagnosed diabetic a couple years ago. I’m already on the super non fun pregnancy diabetic diet (I don’t follow it when not pregnant as I manage fine usually) and insulin shots. Feel free to tag or DM me if you have questions or want to share the misery of blood sugar issues.

Spouse/partner?)
Said above most of it. I work for a university and enroll people for our online programs. I sing, coach fastpitch, like to cook and do artsy things.

Spouse/partner?)
Mom to a two year old boy and wife to my husband.
Spouse/partner?)
I am a freelance writer, and I recently moved to Spain with my husband and three cats.
Hi I’m Brooke, 32, 3rd pregnancy.
Due date:
Dec 1! so I’m almost 6 weeks.
How you found out:
We were on the fence about going for a 3rd but once we decided to try it happened very quickly. Tested at 10DPO and got a faint but clear positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
We recently moved to a new state so I don’t have any of the friends, providers, and support that was so familiar to me before. That will be an adjustment. I loved my midwives from the last 2 pregnancies and had amazing friends previously.
How are you feeling (any symptoms, Emotionally)?
Crazy mood swings, cramps, round ligament pain (already!), peeing all the time.
Spouse/partner?)
We have our son and fur babies (cats).
Introduce yourself: Hi! I'm Bridget. I am 42 years old, and this is a very nervewracking time for me. My husband and I have a son who's 2.5 years old, his twin brother who was stillborn, and another angel Baby.

Baby girl is 15 months old. I am an early childhood & human development specialist who leads teacher trainings, parent support groups, and family coaching. We left the corporate world when baby was 7 months to live full-time in our converted skoolie and currently traveling through Baja California, MX.
Shocked. Always knew we wanted a 2nd but planned for next year. I'm 37 years old so I feel this is truly the best time, but sad our time as a new family of 3 turned into 4 quicker than I imagined.
EDD: Around 12/3
Found Out: peed on a stick and told hubby “looks like I’m a little pregnant”
About me: Hubby and me have 2 boys, age 7.5 and 5.5. Life has settled down enough that we’re finally ready for #3. I’ve been a SAHM most of the boys’ lives but for the last year I’ve been substituting at their school. I also just started training to be a birth doula - so we’ll see how that all unfolds now that I’m pregnant myself.
Nice meeting you all! One day at a time. Baby steps 👣
***TW****
We found out we were expecting almost exactly a year ago and ended up having a miscarriage. Very grateful to be pregnant again after a year, but also very nervous to be due the same time as our last loss.
I'm a wife to my high school sweetheart of 20yrs, SAHM and homeschooling mom of 7 amazing boys! We have a small homestead with over 130 animals currently. Chaos doesn't even begin to describe our life but we are so in love and grateful for it!
, 💙💙💙💙💙💙
ETA: As a fellow loss mama, I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so scary, especially when you had to have surgery and infusions afterwards. Sending you big hugs (in a non-creepy Internet stranger kind of way).

BFP 8/14/2018 #2 due 4/18/2019
Spouse/partner?)
This is my first pregnancy. I’m over the moon excited as is my boyfriend. I’m a corrections officer but a few months ago had stepped down to part time status due to moving and distance.
Due date: Dec 10th
How did you find out: pretty regular cycles but took a test after being late about a week. Waited that long because sometimes it'll jump during the year so wasn't expecting a positive.
*TW* parent passed away
Tell us about yourself: been with my husband 10 years now.
Emotionally, I’m excited but also struggling to see how I’m going to survive the nausea.
how I found out: We started trying in March , and it happened very quickly.
We'd also intended to stop having babies with my husband's 35th birthday being our cutoff- this was shortly after our loss but that obviously changed our plans.
, 💙💙💙💙💙💙
