Other kids/pets: One awesome dog who I swear knows I’m pregnant
First appointment: first US 12/6 - IVF so no shortage of appointments
Symptoms so far: Absolutely exhausted. As a shift worker, I didn’t appreciate that it’d be worse than working nights. All I want to do is sleep.
Anything else you want to share: First pregnancy at 44 yo - delivering at 45yo - eeeekkkkkk. Met my partner later in life so here we are on an IVF journey.
EDD: July 6,2025 Other kids/pets: None First Appointment: Dec 11 Symptoms: Bloating, mild cramping, and constipation. Anything Else: I’m excited and nervous
Other kids/pets: First time mom. 2 senior chihuahuas that think they are babies (Mavis&Leroy)
First appointment: December 17
Symptoms so far: very sore breasts and strong sense of smell
Anything else you want to share: This pregnancy was a total surprise. I have always wanted to be a mom, but in the past few years have accepted that maybe that wasn’t my journey to now find out that it still is. Feeling blessed, but still a little in shock that it’s happening at this point in my life. I have no idea what I’m doing so happy to find some community
Other kids/pets: 2 boys (former bumpie April 2012 and January 2016), a 10 year old female black lab, and a new unnamed female kitten 🥰
First appointment: December 16th
Symptoms so far: RLP, hair loss, insomnia, meat cravings
Anything else you want to share: So nervous this time around, this was unexpected but very much wanted. PGAL 2014. First baby with my second husband/childhood sweetheart.
Other kids/pets: two dogs, a horse, and a Holland Lop bunny
First appointment: today!! 12/5
Symptoms so far: I have HG and have lost a lot of weight and ended up in urgent care already every other symptom pales in comparison
Anything else you want to share: I waited until now to join because this is my second pregnancy, but I was very active in the forums with my first which turned out to be a blighted ovum at my first 10 weeks appointment. That scarred me quite a bit, so seeing a perfect little baby measuring a day ahead with a strong heartbeat today has me overjoyed and more confident again
My EDD is 7/8/25, exactly 10 years and 1 day after my firstborn son (although he wasn’t due until 7/19). My daughter is 7.
All of my symptoms are the “typical” ones like food aversions, nausea, constipation and fatigue. What’s atypical is that I didn’t experience them to any significant degree if at all in my previous pregnancies.
I had an ultrasound at 7 weeks 2 days only due to being 39. It was confirmed I had an intrauterine pregnancy and was measuring exactly down to the day. I go in next on 12/18 and will be doing the NIPT testing then.
Other kids/pets: 2 boys (7 and 5) and a girl (2), no pets
First appointment: November 29
Symptoms so far: Worse nausea than my previous pregnancies, but no throwing up thank Gd! Breasts feeling larger and nipple soreness as well. Some digestive issues, and tons of gas!
Anything else you want to share: My first appointment had a confirming ultrasound and I found out we're having *twins*!! We were excited to add #4 to our family but were not quite as prepared for 4+5, so we're excited but also a bit freaked out. Also my midwives said they won't cover twins, so I have to decide to just go with Drs close to me or go downtown (lots of traffic) to go to a midwife practice that will, and a hospital that generally has a more natural outlook on birth than most.
Also I tried to join a few weeks ago but could not for the life of me remember or recover my login info, so I gave up and made a new one 🤷🏻♀️
Congratulations! I am 39 but my other “babies” will be 8 and almost 10 by my delivery date. My due date is 7/8 but my firstborn son was born 7/7/15. However, my midwife expects to induce me by the 1st if I don’t go into labor before then.
Due July 13th! First appointment is December 23rd but went to one of the boutique ultra sound places to confirm pregnancy and to see the baby this week (10 weeks) 😍
Other kids/pets: We have a Belgian malinois, two Russian blue kitties & a thoroughbred mare 🦄💜
First appointment: December 3
Symptoms so far: fatigue, tender breasts, nipple sensitivity, mild headaches infrequently, nausea, only 1 day of vomiting so far! ☺️
Anything else you want to share: I’m 29 & a first time mom to be, we’re very excited! Our first ultrasound went well and I had my second appointment yesterday and got to see baby’s heartbeat again, there’s nothing more exciting. I’m finally feeling less nauseous and tired now and excited to be nearing that second trimester soon! Also excited to get to know some of you ✨
EDD: July 2 (I will have a scheduled C-section at 39 weeks due to past births though so it will be in June).
Other kids/pets: Boy-11, Girl-7, Boy-4, 2 year old female Cavapoo.
First appointment : I am currently 13 weeks, and my first appointment was at 8.5. Then I went in again at 10 weeks for spotting, then again for my 12 weeks appointment. Next appointment is at 16 weeks!
Symptoms: sore chest, fatigue, headaches, spotting (5 weeks of stressful spotting, now! But thankfully baby boy is growing beautifully!). I get nauseous when I don't eat. My nausea has mostly subsided though now that I'm 13 weeks. Feeling ginormous.
First appointment: I’ve met with my midwife twice now.
Symptoms: Debilitating nausea despite rarely vomiting. It started before I even missed my period. I’ve spent the last six weeks moving from bed to couch and back again. 🤢 Honestly not sure if I’m experiencing any other symptoms because the nausea is so all consuming.
Anything else you want to share: So ecstatic despite feeling like absolute garbage! I’ve been wanting a baby for a couple years now and was just waiting for my partner to feel fully ready.
Other kids/pets: 2 kids, 9 and 6; 2 dogs, basset hounds, and 2 cats
First appointment: scheduled for 1/6
Symptoms so far: just a positive test
Anything else you want to share: My other two kids were done via IVF. This has been a complete surprise because we've never made it this far on our own without IVF.
Anything else you want to share: this is our third pregnancy this year. We are a high risk pregnancy as I carry a chromosomal condition called balanced translocation. We’ve got lots of extras tests and appointments, but I know it will be worth it
Other kids/ pets: I run a homestead and have livestock as well as dogs and cats. I have one step son, and this will be my first child.
First appointment: Jan. 8th with my midwife!
Symptoms: “evening” sickness for about 2 weeks, some round ligament pain, and tiredness, sensitive breasts (first sign I was pregnant before I tested).
Anything else you want to share: Anyone living in MI I would be grateful to connect irl too! This is my first pregnancy and it’s all new.
Other kids/pets: 8 yo girl, newly 5 yo boy, 2 labs and a tabby cat
First appointment: I had three early scans with an RE (though this pregnancy was spontaneous), I can’t get in with my OB until 1/20, I’ll be nearly 13 weeks
Symptoms so far: not many. I’m having round ligament pain.
Anything else you want to share: hi! I met some of my best friends on my daughters BMB (Oct 2016).
Me: 31
DH: 32
Married: Sep 2012
TTC #1: Jan 2015 Baby A (via IUI due to MFI): Sep 2016 born at 35+6
Surprise but very welcome + on 5/16/2019, EDD 1/25/2020
Hey group 👋🏽 EDD is July 4th. Other kids/pets: A toddler (2.5) and a single doggo. These two are currently accomplices. First appointment: happened last year, this pregnancy follows two consecutive miscarriages, so we wanted and needed the early check in and reassurance. Symptoms: this time around I'm feeling all the things - slow digestion, nausea, fatigue, bloating, achy back. First pregnancy was a walk in the park. Anything else: Going through this with a little more anxiety, given the previous two losses. But! Excited to be at 14 weeks and still so far so good.
First appt: We had our first at 9w5d weeks. I am higher risk due to age (37) and blood clot history. We also had a miscarriage around the same time point in August.
Symptoms: Hip and back pain. Reflux. A little bit of everything else, too!
Anything else: I'm on a blood thinner, so happy to swap tips if anyone else is too. In the Northwest Indiana Area; would love to connect with other area moms.
@emmaleekinsley and @tashaandpeanut I'll second the use of the Breath Right nose strips. My husband uses them and when my nose got stuffy over this past week he started giving them to me. Game changer!
Other kids/pets: 10 year old son, 9 year old husky mix, and 4 year old golden doodle.
First appointment: Oct 9, 2024
Symptoms so far: nauseous and starving at the same time. Meat is really grossing me out most days.
Anything else you want to share: This is planned and we are beyond excited, but having a 10 year age gap between kids makes me feel almost like I’m starting over. Makes me feel like I don’t know what I’m doing all over again as a first time mom.
First appt: Had my ultrasound (7w5d) and first midwife (11w) separate
Symptoms: Mild nausea and fatigue first trimester. Much better second tho some nausea returning and lots of pressure, bloating and pelvic pain currently
Anything else: Unexpected but hoped for pregnancy after one loss and after TTC many years. Have fostered for a couple years now as well. Also, I’m part of the old moms club, I guess. 🤷♀️
Other kids/pets: 2 year old son and 10 year old pitbull mix.
First appointment: December 8th
Symptoms so far: first tri I was so nauseous all the time, and simultaneously so hungry. Now that I'm in the second tri I'm feeling much better!
Anything else you want to share: We had been trying for baby #2 for about 8mo and are so excited. We are also in the midst of a big move for my new job, and job-hunting for my husband.
