Now that more and more of us are finding out what we're having (!!!) are you guys starting to seriously talk about names? 😊 So fun (and hard to choose).

    We started talking about names as soon as we found out! We've already decided names: Waylon for a boy, Delilah for a girl!

    We literally looked at names the night we found out haha. We are thinking Rhett for a boy and Scarlett for a girl. We are hoping to do an early 3D/4D ultrasound to see if we can find out a little earlier what we are having. The waiting is brutal.

    We had such a hard time with girl names with our first.  The boy names were so much easier, so when we found out it's probably a boy I was a little relieved even though I didn't have a preference.  We are pretty sure we are going with Everett which was our first choice had our daughter been a boy. Also, our daughter is Violet and we really like how they go together.

    We have just started discussing names but my husband can only seem to throw out joke names - he comes up with the craziest options! I told him that at this rate - I’ll be choosing our sons name! Hoping we narrow it down in the next month or so! I love Noah or Ari.

    So fun! Since finding out the babies are twins, we're having some trouble deciding how coordinating (or not) we want the names to be.

    Probably our top contender for boy/boy right now is Daniel & James. We also like Elijah & Levi (Eli & Levi).

    If boy/girl, we love Lilah & Levi, although definitely still very undecided. We also like Elijah & Evelyn (Eli & Evie).

    Choosing names was so much harder this pregnancy! I work in elementary and so many names I’ve either seen too often or remind me too much of specific kids and behaviors. Boy names were near impossible to choose the closest my husband and I came to was Maddox. Thankfully, we found out we’re having a girl and we unanimously fell in love with Juniper as soon as we came across it!

    We are likely going with Lucas to honor my Grandfather and father, who are both kind, honorable, hardworking men who lived/live their lives in integrity. I’m working on a middle name that honors my grandmother on my mom’s side - she was spunky, sharp, disciplined and our amazing, nurturing matriarch for many decades.

    My husband actually had some serious suggestions the other night. 3rd times the charm??😂 he’s suggestions were Levi and Lars. Two that work in Norwegian and English. I like them both but I definitely need some time to think about them. Both our girls start with M so we’re going with a different letter this time.

    I'm pretty sure we have the boys name, still thinking about a girls name. With my first, even though we were told it was a boy it ended up being a girl and a few weeks before having her, her name came to me in a dream. So I'm keeping my options open but also looking around. 

    Also really important to find a name that works for both English and Swahili speakers. My name is super hard for most swahili speakers and its been annoying to say the least.

    Yes, same here. After we confirmed our baby's gender, we talked about the names a lot of times. It's fun but most of the times, we're into argument lol.

    We’re also having a hard time with a boy name! My husband is Hispanic and I’m Jewish so we’re trying to merge the two, but that’s been leading us to a lot of names that feel either too biblical (Moises) or too popular (Mateo). I also can’t pronounce the Spanish “r” so I don’t want the kid to have an R in his first name and I’ll forever be uncomfortable saying it (so Alejandro is out, which we like otherwise). Some other popular names are already family members (Leo, Asher, Benjamin). And some, I’ve just dated too many of them - like David 😂😂 So you all feel free to take any of those!

    But we’ve found a couple of names that we like so I think we’ll be ok when he arrrives.

    The literal only reason I had for wanting (another) girl is that we had the name set in stone and could not nail down a boy name!

    So since we're having a baby girl, her name will be Margot алёна (Alёna). Margot just because we liked it, and алёна after my mother in law who is Belarusian. <3

    So fun! Now that we officially know that the babies are both boys, we're like 90% sure our boys will be James William and Daniel Walter. First names are classic names we love, middle names are family names - one from my husband's side, one from mine. 🥰

    Do you plan to share your babies' names with friends/family prior to their arrival? I think we're waiting to share until we're 100% certain those are the names, then we'll go ahead.

    @kendyb77 we dont share names until after birth, just because i want to look at my baby when i give them their name. I trust that none of my family would say anything negative about a name but ive heard lots of stories of rude people. *Most* people wont hate on a name once the baby is born and the name is assigned. 
    But i love both the names you listed! Daniel is one on my long list of names.

    My husband and I are struggling with names. We came up with a list of girl names easily, and then found out we’re having a boy! He’s Polish, so we’re trying to honor his heritage while giving our son a name that’s easy to pronounce in English

    @dalszer we are also trying to find a name that fits two languages and its hard! So many of the common names, i know people with the names, close enough that i don't feel i can reuse the name🤪

    what do what do you guys think of the name Noelle? I’m worried about people associating it with Christmas and giving her a hard time as a January baby, or always asking if her name is close to Christmas when first meeting her. But we really just think it’s such a pretty name.

     (Margot is my husband’s late grandmother)

    @fk18 I love that name.  Margot was on my list for my first but my husband didn't like it.  People can always find something with a name if they really want to. I had Harper on my first list and my dad was like, they are going to call her Harpo.  I said no one that age is going to know who that is.  To which he replied, well it's also the name of Oprah's company.  And again, I'm like no one is going to know that.  I didn't even know that lol.

    Also, coming from someone with a similar type of name, when people meet me (April) I almost always get asked, Were you born in April?  I was.  I never bothered me and actually when I meet another April, I ask the same thing lol.  Also, as a kid, my dad's side of the family would always call me April May June or say April shower's bring May flowers.  It was annoying at times because of how often I would hear it, but it never really bothered me.  And honestly, now they are all gone so when I hear it, it makes me smile.

    I have.  I was good friends with an old co-worker and his sister April was born in February.  Funny thing was he was born in April (literally the day after my birthday).

    lol he was originally trying to reference Harpo Marx, which again, no one is going to know.  Then he brought up Oprah.
