Anybody starting to get insomnia? I feel wide awake when it’s bedtime. I’ve been trying to keep myself from napping so I’m tired at night but I still can’t sleep.
I feeltired (exhausted really) but just can’t fall asleep.
I’m in this boat too, which is horrible because my big kid takes forever to fall asleep and needs me in the room with him until he’s out which is usually not until 10pm, my baby still wakes up to nurse multiple times a night, and I have to wake up at 5am for work. So I really need to sleep when I can.
Last night I finally fell asleep at 2am and then my daughter woke up. I guess I’m preparing myself for newborn sleep

I’ve been waking up randomly at 3am and just staring into the darkness for a good half hour until I fall back asleep. I feel kinda tired at bedtime (10:30/11pm), wake up tired at 7am but thankfully my schedule allows me to nap from 9am-11am most days. Long story short: my sleep is all over the place but I’m definitely getting like 10 hrs of sleep every 24-hr period.
The crazy vivid dreams I have when I AM sleep is another thing…
I have no problem falling asleep but I wake up in the middle of the night every single night. I can usually go right back to sleep after I pee but last night I was left tossing and turning for hours!
Right?? The dreams have been wild! There have been so many mornings where I wake up and I need to take a minute to just process.
I've been going to bed between 9-10pm. I never used to wake up in the middle of the night and now it's multiple times to pee. Then the dogs wake up (we have 3 that sleep with us lol) and we all have to get comfy again and I'm tossing and turning.
I do get to nap at lunch time which makes a huge difference. Even those dreams are vivid and realistic.
has anyone been using a pregnancy pillow yet? My bloat makes me look pregnant... lol. Maybe it would help me get comfy?
@mitchip save the pillow for when you can't lie on your back any more. It's good when you need it but it's a lot of extra stuff in the bed. I have the boppy one and it's been good. I also have a classic feather pillow that I put behind my back squashed into a wedge so I couldn't roll onto my back.
Same issues! I get up every night around 3am usually because I have to pee, then roll around for a while trying to get back to bed. I didn’t realize I’d lose full nights of sleep so soon!
@mitchip I had it a lot in both pregnancies. It doesn't hurt. For me my heart rate would change and I could really feel my heart thumping in my chest and it makes you feel weird. It will effect you before it effects the baby, I couldn't last even a minute on my back. A lot of women worrying about it but if it effects you, you will know about it. I didn't find it that stressful because I knew what positions were fine and which weren't. For now I'm going to enjoy every minute of being able to lie on my back for the next 6 weeks.

Oh this is fun, isn't it?? LOL
I was affected by the vein compression when I was pregnant before so back sleeping was an absolute no.
I had to wake up every TWO HOURS to pee last night. I'm doomed in my third trimester. lol.
