Re: Product Spotlight: Cribs Etc.
i used the crib to contain him until he learned how to climb and I came in from the bathroom and he was on top of his dresser/table that was next to the crib 😅
For bassinet I used a graco pack n play with the infant bassinet on top. That worked well but it is kinda bulky for the room. I like the multi use feature though. I might use the pack n play again but I got rid of the infant part so I’d just use the regular bassinet part.
I will get a couple of new sheets for both the pack n play and the crib. I don’t plan on setting up/using the crib for a while though.
When my son was 6 months-ish we started bed sharing. I never thought I would but I was falling asleep mid-feed and scared I would drop him or he would get hurt so I decided to have him sleep next to me. There are definitely pros and cons but for the most part I do enjoy having him close. I might still try to get him in his own bed though before the baby gets here.
i don’t plan on bed sharing with a newborn since they’re so tiny. I still remember the panic of waking up and thinking my son was in the bed under the covers yet he was swaddled up in his bassinet. That’s some crazy stuff 😅
I’ve never had a dockatot or snuggle me. I know people let their babies sleep in them but they’re not meant for sleep. Learned that in my last BMB! I did have the now recalled boppy infant lounger and I’m so glad nothing bad ever happened to my son because it is inevitable they fall asleep everywhere.
We will get a moses basket to have as an option, and still have my sons delta children crib in case this baby does well sleeping alone, but I am pro-safe bedsharing so that will likely be the case for this baby too. My son has slept with us since about 3 weeks, turns 3 today, and is an amazing sleeper.
