I am currently taking Megafood Baby & Me 2 prenatal, plus Rainbow Light DHA supplement. Loving both, though the taste isn't great on the megafood and it is huge, lol. But from the research I did, these both seem to have the right ingredients. Thankful I am not nauseous though - it would make it hard to take these I think.
I’m so bad I keep forgetting to order/get prenatals so I’ve been taking my regular womens multi. It has 400mcg of folic acid so I wasn’t too worried about it. I’m probably going to order prenatals tomorrow when I get paid. I took the naturemade last time but then they got really fishy smelling when I bought a new bottle and I wasn’t a fan of that. Not sure what I’ll get now
It’s also an option to possibly get a prenatal ordered by your provider. It’s so much cheaper through insurance. I have an appt in 10 min so I might ask her if she can write me a script.
I’ve been using prenatal vitamins from Ritual, and I think they’re great- they’re pleasantly “lemon-essenced” and you can take them on an empty stomach- they don’t give me that vitamin-gut feeling at all.
Most vitamins make me queasy if I don’t take them with a larger meal but I recently discovered that prenatals made from whole food (rather than synthetic vitamins) are much gentler on my stomach. My go to has been from garden of life.
I take one made by garden of life too, and really like it. I take the “my kind prenatal multi tablet”, the “my kind calcium”, and “pure synergy choline complex”.
Started having an aversion to my lemon ritual prenatals (took one tonight & had to run to the bathroom). Thinking it’s the smell. I’m super bummed because they certainly make a difference on how I feel. Anyone have chewables they like?
@stillcozy of course!! The one mine prescribed this time wasn’t covered under insurance of course 😣 but was still around the same price or cheaper than a big bottle so I got it anyway!
