Hey mamas! How did you deal with your anxiety when off your prescribed medication. I have been struggling. I do breathing exercises and meditation but are there any other recommendations?
I’m continuing on my lexapro (escitalopram) but I can’t take my propranolol any more which is really rough. That one helped me a TON for break through panic attacks and nipping the onset of physical symptoms in the bud. Breathing exercises have always been a joke to me, but I’m willing to try anything. Does anyone have any good (ideally free) mindfulness apps that have helped them significantly?
I just talked to my doctor about this. I am on Lexapro 20 mg. He suggested I cut down to 10 until my last month and then try to wean off so the baby (ies) doesn’t have any withdrawal symptoms.
I went off my citalopram during my last pregnancy and my anxiety started creeping back in the second trimester. My midwives suggested trying lemon balm tincture before bed since I was having trouble sleeping and it seemed to help a bit. That plus “calm” magnesium citrate helped me sleep.
