I had my IUD out in April, and I decided to take a test a few days before my period. Boom, pregnant. Really didn't think it would happen that fast, but we're super excited. I am currently 6 weeks 2 days.
My first appointment isn't until the end of June around 10 weeks. So far my symptoms are mainly fatigue and nausea. The nausea hasn't been horrible, just here and there. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
I am a web developer, and my husband is a software engineer. We met in college and have been together for 10 years. Married for 8. We have 2 kids (ages 6 & 4) and this will be our last baby. I enjoy reading, trying new recipes, and playing board games.
Hi everyone! I’m 6w 1d and so excited to be here! I’m 34 and this is my first pregnancy. I found out two days before my expected period because I couldn’t wait any longer to take a test but I was really expecting to not be pregnant- my partner and I were both happily surprised!
My first appointment is 19 June at 8 weeks and the due date is 24 January. As far as symptoms I just have very sore breasts and I got a wave of nausea for about 10 mins the last two days but nothing today so I’m hopeful.
As far as career/ hobbies, I’m an Army officer and my partner is a psychology professor. We both enjoy working out, watching movies, and going to any type of costume-themed event!
He is 41 and we both really want a family (together) so after dating for 7 months we decided to start trying in May rather than wait for a whole year long engagement, etc. I figured with no pressure I’d be happy to get pregnant but not disappointed if I didn’t and we were so grateful to get a positive test! We plan to get legally married before the birth then have a wedding sometime later next year.
We’ve told our parents and our siblings, as well as a few close friends, but are planning to tell others after the first trimester. Neither of us have been married or have kids and I have one 5-year old German Shorthaired pointer!
We have a 9 m/o and felt like we wanted another baby so we stopped being careful. I (very mistakenly) assumed it would take a while to get pregnant since I was breastfeeding and have a history of endometriosis. My period was late, we had family coming to visit that like to drink so I tested and was positive! Currently 5 weeks 4 days.
First appointment, symptoms, anything else pregnancy related you’d like to discuss?
Of course nervous about having two babies so close together. Feeling tired and a little nauseous. Nervous because we don’t have an ultrasound until I am 10 weeks and I have had a miscarriage before.
Tell us about yourself! Job, spouse, pets, other kids, hobbies, etc.?
I am a pediatric nurse and have a nutrition degree. My career is on hold as we moved to England with the Air Force last year. Happy to be a full time mom at the moment! Love to run, be outside, read and travel.
Hello everyone, don’t usually do these type of community board things, but figured why not. So my period is pretty spot on and my cycle tracker also tends to predict it almost spot on … I usually get it a day before it says I’m going to start. Noticed I was 2 days late so decided on 5th day I’d take a test, but by then I was pretty sure I was pregnant. Sure enough got a positive and estimate of 2-3 weeks. This app and others say I’m 5 based on last cycle.
I had already schedule an appointment to start planning a pregnancy so keeping it for my first check up on June 13th. I’ve had nausea on and off throughout the day, learning how to manage it. But the fatigue has been so real. I get up when my husband is getting ready for work to help pack his morning drinks and snacks, by the time I see him off I’m ready for a nap! Same with any other task that requires the slightest amount of energy. Also tenderness in my breast, some random cramping and recently started getting headaches. But praying that subsides soon!
This is my husband and I’s first pregnancy so we’re super excited and eager to learn and prepare ourselves. I am the cofounder and CFO of a faith-based nonprofit in LA and work remote from Tijuana. My husband and I have a 5 yr old loving doggy. I also like to do lettering and some art on the side.
Hey everyone I am a 30 year old mother of three now due with my fourth.
Went for a trip with the boyfriend up to some hotsprings in northern BC in the last week of april and spent ten days sick as a dog, going in and out of the hosptial. Then just felt uneasy for another ten days while recovering and had a couple days of spotting. But the nausea never went away and I got more and more exhausted so u took a ten two days before my period was due and ding ding. I was 4w booked the next avail appointment with my family doctor who is also my ob/gyn for jun9th I will be 7w 3d.
I work in an assembly plant, I have a 9 year old girl, a 7 year old boy, 3year old girl and my partner has 6 year old and 10 month old girls. He works away on rigs and we have a one year old stumpy pitt mix a 3 year old Tom cat and a foster kitten.
Bf is used to have large babies in his family (7-10lbs) and I have tiny babies (5-7) pounds. I've done this rodeo a few times always alone
Hello, I’m Nicole, 42 stay at home Mother to 2 boys. Pregnant last March, sadly we lost our baby girl in October miscarriage in early March Pregnant again 7weeks3 days. Any one have a similar situation?
Hello! II’m 9weeks+2 as of today, with an expected due date of January 10th. I am 20years old and father is 21. I am a full time student studying psychology. My fiancé and I have been dating since 2020, but have been friends since 7th grade back in 2014-2015. We currently have 2 dogs and 4 cats.
I was keeping a pretty tight track of my cycle seeing as this is a planned pregnancy. So i took a test right after my missed cycle. This will be my first kid but second pregnancy. I had gotten pregnant in December but sadly miscarried in March.
My first appointment isn’t until the 16th, however I went to my first ultrasound two days ago. I got to go home with ultrasound photos and was able to hear the heartbeat. That was an amazing experience, my first appointment for the first pregnancy was 2 weeks out when I miscarried, so during the first ever ultrasound I had, there was no heartbeat.
We’re both really hoping for a boy but more excited about finally starting a family after almost a year of trying.
Hi! I’m 8w2d today, and I found out at 3w3d. My husband and I had just started trying for a baby, so I was surprised how quickly it happened! I definitely suspected I was pregnant though because I started having symptoms early (implantation bleeding, super strong sense of smell, and loss of appetite). My husband suspected it too, so there was no surprising him lol!
I just had my first appointment and found out my due date is January 17th! Baby has a strong heartbeat and we are so excited. I’ve been having just about every pregnancy symptom I can think of. I take unisom and B6 and it really helps to prevent me from vomiting. I’ve been very anxious about having a miscarriage or birth defect, and I feel like the pregnancy hormones just make my anxiety worse.
I’m a teacher, but planning on staying at home after my little one is born! I would love to have 3 children. My husband and I have 2 cats and are thrilled to be growing our family!
Hi! I’m very nervous and excited! This is my first pregnancy and was not expected! We had decided to start trying in the next few months and I had been told it takes about 3 months for birth control to leave your system so I went off it after my last period. Little did I know we would get pregnant right away! I found out in Mexico when I was 13 days late and thought I was just getting a late period thanks to cramps. Turns out it’s a baby!
My first appt is June 23. I have been having cramps every day and sore nipples and bloating but that is all. According to the due date tracker I’m about 6 weeks and 5 days along! Is anyone else getting cramping? Online it says it’s very common but I feel like no one talks about it.
Thanks for the read! I’m so excited to be on this journey with all of you! Congratulations everyone!! ❤️❤️
Hi! My name is Rachel and this is my first pregnancy. I am currently 11 weeks 1 day, and due Jan 11th. We found out pretty early about the 4.5 week mark. I was only a few days late, but was experiencing pretty intense cramping without blood so figured I'd test as we had been trying!
I've had two ultrasounds so far, an early one at 5.5 weeks due to prolonged cramping- we were worried it was ectopic but baby had settled into the right place. Found out I could have experienced cramping as long as I did (several weeks) due to a transverse uterus. Anyone else out there have a transverse uterus as well? Apparently it won't cause any issues down the line, but just interesting to know.
Symptoms have included everything- cramping, constipation, nausea (but little vomiting- thank goodness) fatigue, food aversions. I've tried ginger drops, B6 and unisom and all have helped. Still trying to figure out a good diet as vegetables are the least appetizing thing to me right now. It was rough going for the first 5-9 weeks and it was hard to feel happy or excited about my pregnancy due to how I was physically feeling but I'm starting to feel slightly better and looking forward to starting the second trimester in few weeks!
Currently it's just myself, husband and our 1 year old pup. Very happy to be growing our family.
We had been trying for our second for almost a year! My cycle had been very irregular after I stopped taking the mini pill May 2022 so it was very hard to track ovulation to say the least when you never know when your cycle is going to come. The night before I tested when getting ready for bed after taking off my bra I noticed my nipples were sore which never happens. Cinco de Mayo morning I decided to test bc I was planning to meet my cousin for her birthday which would definitely involve drinking and was elated to finally see a positive test. I ugly cried!! Today I am 11wks due January 15th
First appointment, symptoms, anything else pregnancy related you’d like to discuss?
I tested at home 5/5 my first appointment was 6/12. Sore nipples, nausea, fatigue. This go around I started vomiting way sooner than the first and a lot more often. Which made me miserable of course. I finally got some relief after my appointment and my doctor told me what to take to curb the nausea.
Tell us about yourself! Job, spouse, pets, other kids, hobbies, etc.?
I am 34 (35 next month) I’ve been married since October 2019. My hubby and I both work at a college. We have a 2.5 yr old daughter together and his 14yo daughter also lives with us. An 11yo yorkie that was NOT happy about first baby lol I told him he has to be nicer this go around. We like cooking and hanging with family n friends. The brewery environment and live music. Outdoorsy things or just sitting on our back deck.
My husband and I decided to “not not try” about a year ago, so I went off my birth control but we weren’t actively trying/tracking. I’ve had kind of wonky periods before so when I was late in May I didn’t think much of it until my boobs really started to hurt! Tested at just under seven weeks, currently at 10 weeks and two days — due January 22! This is my first pregnancy.
We just had our first appointment yesterday, so it’s starting to feel very real! First ultrasound will be in a couple of weeks so really looking forward to that. I’ve been pretty nauseated but haven’t thrown up, and the fatigue is totally kicking my butt! Have also had pretty constant back/pelvic pain — fun times. All in all feeling good though and very excited for this journey!
My husband and I are both 33, we’ve known each other since high school but officially been together for 15 years and married for five. I work in PR and he’s in marketing. We have a very loved 13 year-old corgi/husky mix who will be a very good big sister :)
I had another sixth sense to take a test back in early May. Today I am 15 weeks
First appointment, symptoms, anything else pregnancy related you’d like to discuss?
I waited to have my first appointment till I was out of my first trimester because of past miscarriages. I had nausea without vomiting in my first trimester, severe fatigue, and lots of cravings.
Tell us about yourself! Job, spouse, pets, other kids, hobbies, etc.?
Im a school bus driver/SAHM. With 2 dogs, 2 snakes, a cat and a hamster. I have two girls (24 months and 10 months)
Hi! My husband and I had to go through IVF so I knew I was pregnant from the earliest day you can know hahahah. I got my BFP 4 days post 5 day embryo transfer (so equivalent to 9dpo).
At 6 weeks we got to see the heartbeat and I am now 14 weeks and we’ve had 2 ultrasounds since!! Next one will be the anatomy scan at 20 weeks!
Symptoms: I was very very sick my whole first trimester. It did get better when I got to stop the IVF meds at 11 weeks, but no huge change until just a couple days ago when I realized a few days had passed without me getting sick!
I have been married for 1 year exactly tomorrow, I am a physical therapist specializing in sports, we have two rescue cats, and we can’t wait to meet our little boy!!!
Hi! I am in my second trimester (as are probably many of us here!), still experiencing nausea nearly every day, but grateful it's better than first trimester. My husband and I have a German shepherd dog, and I am a Montessori teacher, now working just part time.
Personal life: Husband of less then a year (been together 10), a 12 year old dog, a 10 year old and 3 year old cat and work full time in manufacturing.
Trying: may 1st; Husband is a huge leafs fan so when they made it to the second round he decided he was ready to officially try (I had been off BC since December 2022 just not actively trying).
Knew: May 10th UNCONTROLLABLE burping, i never burp I haven't drank a carbonated beverage in nearly 4 years, I was burping 5 times an hour, it was nuts for about a week. We confirmed when I was 2 days late for my period on May 23rd.
I found out a long while back. This is my 3rd kiddo but 1st boy! I'm almost 22 weeks now but have about 17 weeks left due to when I will likely have my scheduled c section as I have had two in the past. I have two kiddos 3 and 4 years old. We have a dog and a hamster and a snake as pets. Each week we play a game of dnd with my husband and friends, one with some of my girl friends, and I dm a game 2 times monthly for teens in the area at our local library. I love dungeons and dragons. I also really enjoy hiking and playing golf. I have a purple set of golf clubs that I find lucky. One of my friends takes me golfing a lot. I also have some really cool neon golf balls of all different colors. I may have to stop hiking and golfing soon though because I have been feeling so tired!!

Hello! New here and loving the mom communities I’ve been finding. Hope to learn from you all as we journey motherhood together!
How did you find out/how far along are you? Love this story. It was the last full day of our 2-week vacation in the UK. My cycle is usually ~40 days, so I didn’t think much of any missed period. We’ve been trying for a year. Then I asked him that we should get a test. Found out I was pregnant in Dublin! I was almost 2 months in.
First appointment, symptoms, anything else pregnancy related you’d like to discuss? Fortunately, my pregnancy was smooth sailing. Third trimester had the most symptoms, but mostly work stress so I started leave early.
Tell us about yourself! Job, spouse, pets, other kids, hobbies, etc.? I’ve been married to my best friend for almost 7 years, but almost 15 years of dating. I love seeing him evolve into a dad. We have a 5-year old maltipoo, Jameson. He is my first dog and he’s been good with the baby. No other kids. I love to travel, craft, eat and drink, watch shows (a lot of that right now! Lol), and go for walks.
Let's just say our first hint about the bun in the oven came courtesy of our very enthusiastic dog, Rusty. She kept nudging this suspiciously pregnancy-themed book I'd "borrowed" from the library. Guess they have a nose for these things! We figured it was time for a doctor's visit, and voila - surprise pregnancy confirmed! :)
Beyond the Bassinet:
Job: I work as an accountant. It keeps me on my toes, but it's also really fulfilling. Spouse: My amazing partner-in-crime is Survi. They're already a champion pet parent, so I have no doubt they'll be incredible with a little one too! Pets: We have a furry goofball named Rusty who keeps us entertained. Hobbies: When I'm not working, volunteering at Dog with Blog (https://dogwithblog.in), or prepping for parenthood, I love hitting the open road on my bike. There's something incredibly freeing about exploring on two wheels, and maybe someday I'll even get my little one in a trailer for some family adventures!
I'm beyond excited about this new chapter and can't wait to connect with all of you. Sharing stories and swapping tips on raising both tiny humans and furry friends sounds like a blast!
