How are you feeling? Really good, surprisingly lol.
Rants / Raves: Rant: my kid spilled the beans to a close friend of mine that we will be moving out of state within the next year. I feel so bad. I wanted to be the one to tell her. She’s really sad. I’m definitely going to miss her.
Rave: This is the first pregnancy I’ve ever felt good in the second trimester. I was miserable all the way through with my girls. I thought the second trimester energy boost was a myth lol.

I’d love a nice family day where everyone is in a good mood and nobody is ornery 😂.
Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: team boy! That makes two boys and a girl for me.
Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: a plum says google
Upcoming appointments: US + ob next Monday
How are you feeling? Good. Haven’t seen uptick in energy yet but nausea seems to be going down
Rants / Raves:
Rant - I feel like I have nothing flattering to wear rn. It’s also that weird between seasons weather which doesn’t help.
Rave- we told the kids this weekend and MD is so excited! It’s so sweet to see her reaction. Also my son got home from school today and asked if the baby was still in my belly
Questions:
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect Mother's Day?
Breakfast out w good food, NO COOKING/meal planning (cannot stress this enough) and something fun w the family like taking a walk etc. End with ice cream sundae
Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: Surprise! Anyone having any *feelings* about what the sex is yet?
Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: A nectarine? I'm always irked by this stuff because to me these sizes just aren't that different week to week fruit to fruit lol
Upcoming appointments: 2 weeks
How are you feeling? Great in the mornings, not great in the evenings. I'm annoyed by it but hopefully it passes soon. *TMI* I'm also finding there are severe consequences if I don't have a morning and afternoon poo. Like on Saturday for DD's birthday party I was so busy running around and by nighttime I thought I was going to die on the toilet. I was so bloated I looked at least 5 months pregnant
Rants / Raves: My DS woke up this morning with a sore throat. He literally just finished antibiotics for strep last week. Please oh pleaseeeee I can't do another sick week ugh.
DD's birthday party weekend went really well. We also told the kids we were having a baby and since then it's been everything I hoped for and more. They're both so excited. Makes me so happy and also simultaneously anxious in case something goes not quite right. I had to have a grown up mommy moment last night and read them the "What Makes a Baby" book and was peeing my pants hoping my DS wouldn't ask any other in-depth questions lol. Luckily it all went super smooth, but we'll see if this sparks even more questions and curiosity I was so surprised, they were literally begging me to read it so they could understand how the "baby gets in mommy's tummy".
Questions: Nope
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect Mother's Day? My birthday is on Mother's Day this year, so to start - not having my birthday on Mother's Day lol. I HATE combo days like that. I'm really weird about my birthday too so it's not the greatest. TBH my main concern is food, I want to be outside, with good food, have my husband be home from work (which is looking like won't happen, ugh) and no bickering or whining. TV time at the end of the night with a piece of cake.
@varimama Week 12 was a turning point for me, I hope it is for you too!! @Kiek ugh I'm so sorry you don't get to be the one to break the news, I get how hard that is. @ohsmith YES to no cooking!! mandate it! @nessa1632 congrats on a boy and on telling the kids!! I also completely am with you about the flattering thing. I feel like maternity wear just doesn't get cute until we have a pronounced bump.
Physically ok. Just emotionally a cluster right now. I completely broke down on Saturday because of how my clothes are fitting and how I look right now. Stupid hormones.
Rants / Raves:
I felt the baby move for the first time on Friday. That's always exciting.
On the down side I was brushing my teeth this morning and was just in my pants and bra. DD (6 yrs old) says "Oh your tummy got bigger mommy!". You don't say kid. Hadn't noticed....🙄
Questions:
none
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect Mother's Day?
DH asked what I wanted for mother's day. Absolutely nothing outside of my kids not arguing with each other for one whole day.
@varimama@nessa1632 - the chubby in between feeling and not having flattering clothing at this point is the absolute worst.
@mrsmtothek - I wanted so bad to make sure I was open with my kids about that stuff. I'm definitely better at it than my parents were! Lol. But damn that can get awkward real quick. So glad the little two haven't asked how the baby got there! Good on you for reading that to them!
Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: November 26th, 11+2
FTM/STM/STM+: 4TM
Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: Surprise
Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: Bee hummingbird, brussel sprout
Upcoming appointments: End of May
How are you feeling? Not great, but way better
Rants / Raves: Raves: I got all of my freezer meals done this weekend. With our typical evening schedule, when I travel for work, no freezer meals would've set DH up for failure in keeping the schedule on track. I feel so much better about my travel schedule picking back up next week. Rants: I'm still dealing with the effects of having our storage unit broken into from a month or so ago. DH went and cleaned the rest of it out yesterday so we could get the boxes and storages tubs I already sorted out of the garage. He realized 1 of my clothing tubs was stolen, and it of course had most of DS3's summer clothes in it. I'm hoping I can find some of them in a different tub, but I'm not holding my breath. These are large tubs, so most of them are gone.
Questions:
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect Mother's Day? I just want a low stress day spending time with the boys and DH. Cake should also be involved lol. DS1 is our resident party planner, so he's decided we're having a lunch picnic (menu TBD) with cake. He also told DH he needs to buy flowers and a card for me. DS2 agreed with everything because he wants cake lol.
Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: Idk maybe a prune?
Upcoming appointments: Next Wed for NT Scan
How are you feeling? Physically, much better. Emotionally is a different story
Rants / Raves: Rants: Uh, I'm frumpy and lumpy and flabby, my face is broken out, I'm ALWAYS hungry, I'm snapping at everyone... I pretty much hate the person I am right now. I also can't find baby's HB on my home doppler and it's freaking me out. I found it right away last week, and has zero issues ever finding it with DS but have check more times than I'd like to admit this week and it's no where to be found. So that has me down a rabbit hole.
Questions:
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect Mother's Day? Ugh just for everyone leave me alone lol
Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: found out last week we are having our 5th boy
Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: a plastic army guy

How are you feeling? Good! Was an emotional wreck last week but overall feeling good this week.
Rants / Raves: warm weather is back and I think here to stay!! Summer is my fav!

Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: It's a girl
Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: Baby is the size of a yellow canary, or an éclair, or a box of crayons...
Upcoming appointments: Next one is about 2 weeks away
How are you feeling? Physically, I have been feeling great the past few days. Emotionally, I've been super irritable and it doesn't take much to set me off, which is not like me at all. I've been finding myself having to apologize to the kids for yelling so much when they're really not doing anything wrong, just being kids.
Rants / Raves: I thought the cold weather was never going to let up. We never get much of a winter here (which I'm not mad about) but it just stayed unseasonably cool for way too long. It's finally feeling like summer is almost here now though! (I'm sure I'll be complaining about the heat as the summer goes on and I get bigger and more uncomfortable, but I'll enjoy it while I can.)
Questions: None
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect Mother's Day? Maybe actually getting help with getting the kids ready for church, and not having to make dinner myself. Let's see if that actually happens.
@runsoncoffee - summer is the best. Also makes it so easy to hide these inbetween stages - throw on a summer dress and call it a day

Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: Nov 8th - 14 weeks
FTM/STM/STM+: 3rd time
Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: Surprise
Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: Peach
Upcoming appointments: Just met with the OB for the first time yesterday. She was great. I wish I had switched sooner. I loved my FTM OB, but she left the practice. I just didn't have a good feeling about the second one, but I was too afraid to swap once I already started care. But I wish I had! This lady is great. Up next is anatomy scan on 6/5
How are you feeling? Much better. I'm still exhausted, but feeling so grateful to not be nauseous all the time.
Rants / Raves: I was feeling a bit a bit anxious since I got my first ultrasound so early (7w) and I feel SO different from my last two pregnancies. At my appointment yesterday, the OB was so understanding and immediately got a handheld ultrasound scanner and showed me the baby and made sure everything was looking good. It was great. I had no idea that kind of technology existed, it was the size of a little doppler and a phone! Crazy.
Questions: Anyone ever taken magnesium oxide? My doc recommended it for my constipation and headaches. I don't know if I've ever heard anyone talk about it before.
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect Mother's Day? I'm with everyone - a chance to sleep in, have some help with childcare, not make any decisions on activities or food! Add in a walk to the gelato place and I'm in heaven.
Third kid: Due 11/6 Second kid: Dec 2021 First kid: Sept 2019
@bluepeach565 we are moving from south eastern NC to WV. We’ll be able to visit. We still love the coast and fishing. Plus her in-laws live in PA as do mine lol. So we will be up and down each other’s way quite a bit

Interesting baby fact / Baby is the size of: a plum
Upcoming appointments: tues 5/16 with the real doc for the first time
How are you feeling? I’ve had a bad cold I can’t shake this week and today my (tmi I’m sorry..) but today my nipples are ON FIRE! hurts everything I move in my clothes I creeped in the mirror and these suckers are MASSIVE and they’re so dry and itchy I’m trying coconut butter I have on hand but if anyone has any tips that’d be great This fun surprise came out of nowhere - I though boobs only got weird AFTER the baby but what do I know after all - FTM
Rants / Raves: ^^ lol
Questions:
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect Mother's Day? I have 3 moms - and I’m selfishly trying to figure out how to not go anywhere or do anything. I just kinda feel sick crappy and preggo crappy and I really just want to do nothing.
@varimama I'm in the same body stage. It's always a hard transition. I've been trying to decide if people think I'm pregnant or just chubby when they see me. We are also waiting until at least after my 12-week appointment to tell anyone. I've been contemplating waiting until I get my NIPT results back, but DS2's birthday party is in early June, so we might see everyone before I get those results, and I don't want his birthday to become an announcement. @Kiek I felt a tiny kick of energy this week, and I am so ready for it. @nessa1632 Congratulations on your boy! We have 3 boys, and they are so much fun. @mrsmtothek How is YS feeling? We aren't finding out, but my gut says girl, and DH's gut says boy. So far, I'm 2/3, and he's 3/3. I have no idea what first name we'll use if this baby is a boy, so it has to be a girl lol. @fitandnerdy My nausea slowed down this week too...hopefully it stays away for both of us! I hope your daughter is feeling better! @UnwritteN12 I've been waiting for the "your tummy is getting bigger" comments from my older boys. Kids are so honest sometimes lol. @nomangos23 I have definitely lost most of my patience these days. I hope you're successful with your Doppler soon. DS3 liked to hide in my pelvis during doctor's appointments, so we ended up with a couple impromptu ultrasounds to find him. He still likes to hide in random places in our house. He's the king of going in rooms and closing the door behind himself because he thinks it's funny. @runsoncoffee I was AMA with DS3, and I was always so annoyed at the extra stuff they made me do lol. This doctor hasn't said anything to me about it, so we'll see what she makes me do/not do. Summer is also my favorite season. I am so ready for warm weather for outside activities. @chrissdee I hope you get help getting kids ready for church! I do most of that in our house, too, and it is like herding cats on a good day. The older boys dress themselves, so we are definitely the family who rolls in 3-5 minutes before Mass starts with the kids in mismatched clothes. @bluepeach565 I'm glad you like your new doctor, and they were able/willing to grab the portable ultrasound machine to help ease your anxiousness. I've never taken magnesium oxide, but I've heard of people taking it. @stevieraem I think you're one of the few FTM, but @kiki047 is also a FTM! The majority of boob changes I had was during pregnancy. I had some changes during breastfeeding, like engorgement and whatnot, but the majority of boob changes were during pregnancy, and I feel like those changes were more pronounced during my first pregnancy vs my subsequent pregnancies. They have some options that might work, like lanolin or nipple cream. Is the cocoa butter working? You could also try some of the nipple covers used during breast feeding. They make some cooling pads that you can put in the fridge before using that work well. All/Most of those things would be in the breastfeeding supply section at the store, which is usually in the same area as the baby department.
@stevieraem - I went back and looked and there are a few FTMs! I think they just haven’t posted this week. sorry for the panic haha. Also my nipples are also on fire. It’s terrible. I wish I had a solution, but all I can provide is solidarity haha
Third kid: Due 11/6 Second kid: Dec 2021 First kid: Sept 2019
@bluepeach565 thank you so much for the tip - I just ordered some lanolin and @makingbacon I am so sorry that you’re dealing with this too. Does anyone know how long the fire nips last?? Is it a phase or is it forever???
@mrsguetter we are also due date twins! (11/23) my appointment is Tuesday!! I’m so excited for us to learn more about our babes!!!
@stevieraem FTM here too! I haven't posted this week because it's hard for me to post these check in posts from my phone. Sorry about the painful nipples! That doesn't sound fun. My breasts were so sore for weeks and weeks. (I actually liked it because once the nausea went away, that's how I would reassure myself.) But now that I'm at 15 weeks, the soreness has really gone down. Hopefully the fire nips stop for you soon!
@jvbirdgirl awesome!!! Happy im not alone!! Im always posting from my phone too so the weird spelling or grammar is typically a result lol. Cocoa butter has been helping. They’re still dry and sore but not like they were. And I’ve been wearing very tight tanks under my shirts to keep the girls locked in place. Seems to help. Luckily today I spent out on a lake and now my face is sunburnt so I’ll have a distraction…. SMH. It was gorgeous out tho so it was worth it. I’d have been fine if I didn’t fall asleep on the boat lol. Whoops.
I hear what you mean about the reassuring pains. I feel the same way about the dull cramps and the general soreness in the girls. Must mean everything is still okay. I can’t wait for 15 weeks! Sounds like a wonderful place to be!!!

Second kid: Dec 2021
First kid: Sept 2019
Estimated Due Date / Weeks + Days: 11/23 (11+6)
FTM/STM/STM+: AM I THE ONLY FTM?!?!
Team Boy/Girl/Surprise: hoping boy but do not know yet - also had a dream last night about picking a girls name… I’m pretending it doesn’t mean anything Obviously Team Healthy Baby tho!
Second kid: Dec 2021
First kid: Sept 2019

How are you feeling? Not too bad! Huge!
Just got over C0v!d, so that was a bit scary, but we're doing well!
Rants / Raves: I fell huge! I don't remember feeling this big at 12 weeks with my first.
Questions:
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect Mother's Day? A full night's sleep and waking up to a fully cooked breakfast.
