Introduce yourself: Hi everyone! My name is Amber and this is my first pregnancy!
Due date? 08/15
How did you find out? My husband noticed that I was going to the bathroom often and I noticed my breasts started hurting and that never happens during my regular cycle. Went to the store one day and decided to test and it was positive!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I am in hospitality and my husband is in food service management and we want to add a dog or two to the family as well. We love music, outdoors, and quality time.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I am super excited! This is our first baby and we have been trying for two years. Experiencing the pregnancy symptoms has been interesting but so rewarding.
How did you find out? Two pee sticks in our bathroom while getting ready for church on 12/18. We had been trying for about 5-6 months & had two positive results only to lose it a couple days later so I’ve been cautiously optimistic (inside freaking out with excitement!)
Tell us about yourself? I work from home for a defense contractor & my husband owns his own business doing restro-mod work on old (mainly Chevy) trucks & cars. We’re on east Texas looking for our own home while staying in his parent’s apartment attached to the house. I love working out, cooking/baking, organizing, puppies & being slightly sassy/inappropriate with my sarcasm (have to have fun sometimes ;). Also a little nervous about staring out with my first baby at almost 40.
How am I feeling? Honestly, fine. I have been peeing a lot (but that’s to be expected when drinking a million bottles of water throughout the day), bloating. a little more tired that usual and hungry/snacking more often. I haven’t had any morning sickness or vomiting. Maybe I’m one of the lucky ones but it also makes me nervous & anxious that something is wrong or it’s not real. Super excited for our first doctor visit 😁
Originally was thought to be around 8/7 but after the first ultrasound it was bumped to 8/19!
How did you find out? I had been testing for almost an entire week, and finally got a faint positive after my missed period on December 1st!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): My husband and I got married just over 3 months ago, and this is my first pregnancy! We sort of "inherited" pet rabbits from the property we're currently renting and they are adorably chubby and fluffy. I love to read, cook, crochet, and watch k-dramas (bit of a guilty pleasure).
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I have been overall feeling very good, but extremely tired and hungry ALL the time. was quite anxious after our first ultrasound seeing baby measure "small", but there are so many reasons why it could be. I am leaving it in God's hands We are so excited for this little one!
How did you find out? Right before my brother in laws wedding using a pregnancy test I’d had in my work bag for months! My husband didn’t believe it until we got another one the next day. I was shocked as we’ve been dealing with infertility for almost 3 years now. Had a chemical in October and this cycle was not great at all in terms of fertility markers. I’ve been lurking for for weeks but making this post felt too hard - I’m so scared to lose this pregnancy but so thankful for every day I’ve had!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): We have two young dogs and a TON of fish. I’m definitely an aquarium nerd. I work as a nurse which is 100% my passion. I’ve been married for 4 years.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Sick. Not throwing up but so nauseous. Brushing my teeth has been terrible the last week! And my breasts are so sore - I get nipple spasms when I’m cold which are so painful! Worst symptom by far. My hospital doesn’t do first OB appointments until almost 12 weeks so it’s super hard to wait but I’m excited to see our baby on ultrasound!
First and foremost CONGRATULATIONS!!! to all the ladies in the group. Especially those who have been trying for weeks and months. It's such a special feeling to finally see the positive test result.
My name is Gloria!
Due date? 8/4 based on LMC and 8/11 based on a 6-week ultrasound
How did you find out? I just had a feeling, I was late and I have ADHD and did not want to take the medication if there was any chance I was pregnant. Let me add that I had the copper IUD! Right! Wow! I knew I couldn't be pregnant, but just to be safe I took a test, and immediately got a positive result, repeated that 3 times.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
I'm an architect and my husband is a project engineer. We have a 13-month-old beautiful boy. We have no pets because we're always so busy with work, my husband is back in school so that takes up a lot of time, and I'm always in the need of certifications, licenses, (etc). My husband is also a musician and I love the outdoors, I used to be a runner, but sadly I have not done that in a long time. We also love to travel.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Feeling great, have had some mild nausea in the middle of the night, but that seems to have gotten better. Emotionally, it's been a little more difficult. We were still deciding if we wanted to expand our family, I think deep inside I knew that's what I wanted, but we wanted to wait a little longer. I do have to say that we were happy when they confirmed our pregnancy. I guess we just didn't expect this to happen this soon. There are a lot of things that we need to decide on, I had an emergency C-Section in my last labor, so I really want to avoid that. I feel like my birth plan last time was NOTHING as planned. I was supposed to deliver my child in a beautiful birth center, with my midwife. Due to complications at 41 weeks (Yikes! I feel tired just remembering) I was induced in a hospital, and it all went downhill from there. Thankfully I was in good hands with my doctors and they acted rapidly. My son was born a super healthy baby and continues to be a healthy child. So, yes I'm hesitant to start planning a birth plan. I don't know if I want an ERCS (elective repeated c-section) or VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section). There was so much anxiety and complications during the last couple of weeks of my pregnancy and during labor that I don't know if I want to go through that again or if I should just have them schedule me for an ERCS.
Due date? By my calculations, 8/24. Haven't had any scans yet.
How did you find out? My husband and I decided to start trying and got pregnant almost immediately. Then I miscarried in November, at 6 weeks. A couple weeks later, we halfheartedly figured we'd start trying again, somehow not really expecting it to work? No one had told me you're more fertile immediately after a miscarriage...anyway, I tested positive two weeks ago, tested again this morning (...just to be sure), and here we are.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I recently bought a house in the Boston area with my husband and our best friend/housemate. I'm a cat person, but Housemate's allergic, so we have a ridiculous dog named Skye. I'm a former librarian who's currently job-hunting (and perpetually trying to write a novel). No children yet--trying for our first. I have endometriosis, which make things all the more nerve-racking.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Sore/tender boobs and some nausea, both of which come and go...boobs haven't really been sore the last couple days, and it's driving me crazy. I know it's terrible, but I almost envy folks with the nonstop nausea, fatigue, etc...at least you know things are (probably) progressing normally?? I haven't had an appointment yet (first one isn't till 1/23!), so no ultrasound, no tests...between that and being very much in need of a job, I'm feeling STRESSED. Trying to just take it one day at a time here!

How did you find out? New years eve, I was a week late and finally tested. Have been late like that before and not been positive, so was not expecting to see a plus sign!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): This will be my first, but I've got cats (oldest is 17.5 and youngest about a year), a wonderful husband, and a comfy office job. I love to spend my time reading, writing, and doing various crafts.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)?
Just had my first appointment, so I'm pretty excited right now. My symptoms have been pretty mild, thank goodness, but I know that can change!
How did you find out? I actually found out at my family doctors office. It was the Monday after Christmas, and my doctor walks into the room to wish me a “happy new year, and it is positive!” I was shocked but pleasantly surprised!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I’m married with a 4 year old wild boy 😂 We have 3 dogs and 6 snakes !
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I’ve been bloated, nauseous. Got sick a few times, tired, dizzy spells, chugging water and peeing. All the great stuff hahaha
How did you find out? Over Christmas break at my in-laws. I had a feeling & took a test.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I’m married with one son (7) & daughter (2) & one dog. This pregnancy is a surprise, we have had 6 losses in a row after my son was born. We decided to stop trying & adopted our baby girl. We have moved states recently so we hadn’t started adoption process again but that has been our intention. Took a week long vacation with my husband in Hawaii after thanksgiving and brought back an unexpected souvenir;).
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Symptoms are breast soreness, fatigue & starting to get a little nausea. I’m 7w5d & my first ultrasound is scheduled for the 23rd. After our losses every symptom is very reassuring, I’ve been praying for uncontrollable nausea lol.
Took a pregnancy test after period was late - we had been trying for a few months after a loss and it wasn’t happening for a while.
I live in Cape Town with my husband and 3 kids, age 7, 6, and 4. My middle child is disabled so we had to wait a while to consider whether expanding our family would be an option.
I feel very fatigued and I’m on a PCOS medication that makes it worse… but I can stop taking it at the end of first trimester!
Just stopping in here to say hi since I haven’t been on these boards yet this pregnancy. According to my LMP, I’ll be 9 weeks tomorrow. This is my 12th pregnancy, but will be my 8th earthside baby. My first appointment is next week and I’m hopeful that I’ll get to meet this baby in August—but nervous because my 4th miscarriage was only in October…and my two previous to that were back to back between my 4th and 5th babies.
Hi! It’s been a minute since I’ve been on these boards.
due: 8/13
found out: 12/4, got a positive test. Got an appt the next day to get my IUD out 😳 and had an ultrasound that showed nothing yet, so we were worried about ectopic/mc. My hcg continued to double over the next week. Then had a follow up us two weeks later and saw a heartbeat. I had an us today and was measuring 10w3d with a hr of 179.
about us: my husband and I have been together 20 years, married for 14 this summer, we have an 11 and 9 year old, a dog, and we are currently renting while we build our new home. We sold our last house last spring and hope to have the new house done in the next 12ish months. I am a SAHM and we have homeschooled since c*vid, but the kids are thinking they may want to go back in person in the fall. I like to read, crochet, and dream about our new house designs/decor/and now a nursery!
feeling: feel good physically, I have to eat first thing in the morning and pretty regularly so I don’t get light headed - which is hard for me to get used to. Tired, and not really pregnant yet, but overall good. I can’t believe I get to do this again… it’s still hard to believe. I was super anxious for our appt today because I had some light spotting this week, but feeling grateful and happy tonight.
How did you find out? We'd been trying for a couple of months, so I took a pregnancy test the day after my missed period, and it was positive! I was actually surprised because I was cramping, so I thought I was getting my period. I started testing much earlier in previous months, but decided to hold off because the constant testing was driving me crazy.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): My husband and I have been married for 10 years. This is our 1st pregnancy. We got married young (I'm 31 right now), and we traveled a lot before we decided to start a family. We have 2 dogs: a 10 month Aussie and 7 year old American Bulldog. We just started Agility classes with the Aussie. Not to compete or anything but to give her brain something to do. She can be destructive when she is not adequately stimulated. Lately, she is getting less exercise since the weathers been bad and I've been so tired. Hopeful for an energy boost in the coming weeks. I am the director of lab operations at a small biotech company and DH is a general contractor. We are in the process of building another house. So DH is working to get that done before August, but we will see. We are currently in a townhouse which is fine, but we want some more space now that we are starting a family.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Feeling pretty good. No morning sickness, just really tired and sore boobs. My boobs have grown at least a cup size. My high waisted jeans are starting to get tight and I cannot buckle a couple of them. So just started using a belly band. Trying to hold off until after my next appt (1/30) to tell work, but I'm only 5'3 and feel like I'm starting to show. Thankful for big bulky sweaters and cold weather!
Introduce yourself: hey everyone I’m Kristi this is my second pregnancy, they will be 3 years apart
Due date? 8/17
How did you find out? Was feeling sick and breasts were tender , missed a period and took a test 2 days later.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):im 32 I have 1 daughter and am married . We have 2 dogs and a chicken . My spouse works in the entertainment industry and im a stay at home mom/college student. Going for my bachelors of science in dental hygiene
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Sooo nauseous and have insomnia. Completely different from my first pregnancy. Some fatigue but not too bad
Hello ladies! New here, I was briefly in the September group, but after my ultrasound yesterday my due date was changed to 8/28 from 9/1 and with my history of pre-e, RPL and being geriatric (35), prior c section, I was likely going to be induced a week early anyway.
Anyway, Im a second time mom. My first was via IVF, born 11/25/21. This was a surprise natural conception. We had two prior miscarriages before we did ivf, so this pregnancy has been an emotional rollercoaster. But we've had two good ultrasounds so far and have made it further than any of our other natural pregnancies.
Hoping to get to know everyone in this group, even if its a little late to the game.
Hi Kristi! We have a lot in common! I have a daughter and our baby will be 3 years apart too - I’ve been teaching dental hygiene for nearly ten years, welcome to the profession!
Hi there! Just joined today and figured I'd introduce myself and meet everyone :)
** Due date? August 31st
** How did you find out? Pregnancy test at home, about 10 days after missing my period. Funnily enough, I had actually gone to the Dr for my yearly physical and mentioned that I may be pregnant and the tests results came back negative, so I tried to delay taking the take home test as best as I could. I also had an ectopic pregnancy last December, so testing was kind of an emotional rollercoaster.
** Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
I have no other children, but I have 6 nephews! I do web development, both as a developer and as a professor.
** How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)?
Nauseous, so nauseous. Also, very very tired. My Dr gave me some extra vitamins that knock me out (high dose of folate, vitamin B6, and vitamin B12).
Feeling anxious because I am not supposed to gain any significant weight, because of my starting weight range - ugh! Wish me luck!
@Knottie1460935203 welcome!! Feel you on the weight gain restrictions… it’s a tough extra layer on top of everything else! Hope the extra vitamins start helping with your nausea!
Hi I'm Jessica, I'm a salon owner, hairstylist and Aparently forever boy mom now 😉 I was weary to post in here prior to my 12 week scan because I've had two consecutive miscarriages but I'm happy to report we've officially made it to 13 weeks!
The first trimester has been rough mentally & physically but I feel my energy returning! Being pregnant with a toddler at home is a whole new ball game haha but I'm just happy to be here now!!
Hi All! Joining this board a little late as I wasn't sure the little peanut would stick.
** Due date? 8/26 by my calculations, but 8/31 after first u/s
** How did you find out? Hubby and I were actively trying, so I tested on 12/16 and got a faint positive, and 12/17 and subsequently got more definitive results.
** Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): Right now at home we are hubby, me, and our daughter who will be 2 in May. Ready to add more chaos to the equation Hubby and I both work full time as physicians so life is busy but I love it.
** How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Nauseous, but not as bad as with my first pregnancy. More fatigued this time around, probably because I also have a toddler and am going into the office every day. Emotionally doing ok, just anxious - had luteal insufficiency so still on progesterone, will d/c at 12 weeks (I'm 11 weeks today). Waiting for NIPT (natera) results which is also anxiety-provoking! Mostly just feel grateful to be here as we had been trying for some time for #2. We saw REI but thankfully didn't end up having to do anything more invasive than the progesterone. Wishing safe and healthy pregnancies for all of you!!
Introduce yourself: Hi I’m Amanda. This is baby #2 for us. Our daughter is 3 and very excited to be a big sister.
Due date? 9/1 but was told by the midwife that the plan is to induce between 38-39 weeks due to complications in my previous pregnancy/delivery so I thought I’d introduce myself here.
How did you find out? Was throwing up dinner and my husband jokes that I need to take a test. Sure enough BFP. Total surprise baby.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): My husband and I have been married since 2011. I work part time at Costco and he works for the Sheriffs department. He has been National Guard since he left active duty in 2017 and will deploy shortly before this baby is born. Hoping he will be able to come home for the birth or shortly after.
We live on a small farm in Northern California and that keeps us pretty busy. In what little time is my own I show with my horse Boon.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Symptoms - nausea is constant. Sore boobs off and on.
Emotionally - now that it’s sunk in a bit I’m so excited. Our first baby took 7 years and all the fertility things to conceive her.
Looking forward to getting to know you all and hope it’s a happy and uneventful time for us all
Hi everyone, I’m Katharine. I’m new to the community forum and it looks like I might be a little late to this party. Lol. I’ve been on the bump app since poppyseed week though. 😊
DH and I are expecting our first in the second week of August!
I don’t know about anyone else, but I am a very confusing mix of super excited and perpetually worried. I know it’s impossible to ‘do everything perfectly’ but my ocd sometimes gets the better of me…. Can you relate?
Oh, how this message board has grown since I last visited/procrastinated in doing my profile. Thank you all for sharing about yourselves and your journey.
Introduce yourself: My name is Doreenda and I am an American living in a small and charming European country called Luxembourg.
Due date? 9th-ish August 2023
How did you find out? My husband and I had been doing fertility treatments after a year and a half of trying naturally. At the end of an excruciating two week waiting period -- all the "what if's" running through my mind -- I had my blood drawn and tested. This was my first IVF cycle and was fully prepared to have to try multiple times, but against all odds, we found out we had a little embryo that could!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): This will be our first human child -- yes, we're "those people". We also have a dog named Charlie who we adopted in 2021 and hope will be like those dogs cuddling with the baby in the videos people post. *Fingers crossed!* I am an international school teacher currently teaching in the early years and my oh so amazing partner/ IVF nurse / masseuse / therapist / husband is a data analyst.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? Luckily, I didn't have any major symptoms my first trimester... just fatigued. Though I did find the emotional rollercoaster bumpy. It was unnerving to not be in control of my feelings. The second trimester has been kinder, thankfully.
Looking forward to learning from and with you all as we navigate the ins and outs of pregnancy and everything to do with it.
Just found this thread but wanted to introduce myself.
I'm 30 years old and this is my first pregnancy.
My due date is 08/11; we are having a boy.
About me: I'm a nurse practitioner, married to an engineer, and I like to spend my time hiking, being outside, watching period dramas, and cuddling/annoying my two kitties.
How I'm feeling: currently pretty good! I've got a good amount of energy and no more nausea since starting the second trimester. Waking up with horrible calf cramps recently so I've started taking a magnesium supplement (Hope it helps!)
@bogwitchh welcome. I’m a ftm mom too. I have monstrous calves that lock up and find that hydration packets like hydration IV have helped with my leg cramps. I just try and drink as much h2o and those packets as possible throughout the day. I also stretch before bed. My cramps have lessened for sure.
I just remembered that there was a forum for people due in August so here I am. :)
Due date? 8.12
How did you find out? I was a week or so late and decided to take a test. Got the positive notice, didn't believe it and had to go buy a second test for confirmation. lol.
Tell us about yourself: First time mom. The husband and I have a dog and cat. I love to read and knit. I'm currently knitting myself a baby blanket. I'm an engineer.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)? I've had minimal symptoms throughout the months. Mainly just been tired and sore in odd places.

Introduce yourself:
My name is Emily!
Due date?
8/24 by my calculations. Haven't had any scans yet.
How did you find out?
My husband and I started trying and got pregnant almost immediately. Then I miscarried in November, at 6 weeks. A couple weeks later, we halfheartedly decided to start trying again, somehow not really expecting it to work...no one told me you're more fertile immediately after a miscarriage! Anyway, I tested positive two weeks ago, tested again this morning (...just to be sure), and here we are.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
I recently bought a house in the Boston area with my husband and our best friend/housemate. I'm a cat person, but Housemate is allergic, so we have a ridiculous dog named Skye. I'm a former librarian who's currently job-hunting (and perpetually trying to write a novel). No children yet--trying for our first. I have endometriosis, which makes the whole thing all the more nerve-racking.

How did you find out? New years eve, I was a week late and finally tested. Have been late like that before and not been positive, so was not expecting to see a plus sign!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
This will be my first, but I've got cats (oldest is 17.5 and youngest about a year), a wonderful husband, and a comfy office job. I love to spend my time reading, writing, and doing various crafts.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)?
Just had my first appointment, so I'm pretty excited right now. My symptoms have been pretty mild, thank goodness, but I know that can change!
Due date?
August 29
How did you find out?
I actually found out at my family doctors office.
It was the Monday after Christmas, and my doctor walks into the room to wish me a “happy new year, and it is positive!” I was shocked but pleasantly surprised!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?):
I’m married with a 4 year old wild boy 😂 We have 3 dogs and 6 snakes !
I feel very fatigued and I’m on a PCOS medication that makes it worse… but I can stop taking it at the end of first trimester!
due: 8/13
found out: 12/4, got a positive test.
Due date?
I was weary to post in here prior to my 12 week scan because I've had two consecutive miscarriages but I'm happy to report we've officially made it to 13 weeks!
The first trimester has been rough mentally & physically but I feel my energy returning! Being pregnant with a toddler at home is a whole new ball game haha but I'm just happy to be here now!!
Spouse/partner?):
Right now at home we are hubby, me, and our daughter who will be 2 in May.
Hi I’m Amanda.
How are you feeling (Any symptoms, emotionally)?
Symptoms - nausea is constant. Sore boobs off and on.
Looking forward to getting to know you all and hope it’s a happy and uneventful time for us all
I’m Katharine.
How I'm feeling: currently pretty good! I've got a good amount of energy and no more nausea since starting the second trimester. Waking up with horrible calf cramps recently so I've started taking a magnesium supplement (Hope it helps!)
Due date?
