Hi! Has anyone started their registries yet? At what point do people usually start putting these together? I am 11 weeks today :)

    For my first I definitely started early, I just didn't tell anyone until probably 25-30 weeks? I used Amazon since my first is a COVID baby and it worked really well for us. Then whatever I need but didn't get from the registry I just went ahead and ordered at around 38 weeks. I left some of the "extra"/older baby stuff up in case anyone was looking for baby gift ideas after baby was born (which was actually a few people).

    I started something randomly when I was bored, just curious to see what Babylist would recommend. This is my second, so I probably won't go too crazy. Last time around, I remember other STM+'s made registries bc of discounts, I think some registries offer discounted prices for some time after the baby is born... has anyone else heard of doing this? Any ideas for which registries offer the best discounts?

    Just a tip for first time registry makers-- if you put clothes on the registry too early, they might be out of stock by the time people go to buy them.

    With my first I started making one a little before I got to the 2nd trimester. I used Babylist so I could add things from different websites (plus I really liked the bottle and pacifier samplers they have on their site). 
    I am debating making one for my second. I created an Amazon shopping list to save some stuff that might be useful so I could easily turn that into a registry. But I don't think I'm having a babyshower for my second. That would be a weird thing to do, right??

    I totally made a baby registry for my second bc I wanted the discount. I had another boy so didn’t really need much new. It had the option to set as private, which I did. I needed a new breast pump and a discount on diapers and wipes is always a plus. Lol. I think I put a few new outfits and odds and end on there but other wise it was strictly for the discount bc why not?!?

    @sunflower912 I'm doing the same thing. I made a private registry and will just use the discount to buy things I know I'm going to need anyways.

    Just turned 13 weeks today and we’re about to post our registry only for the fact that family/friends keep asking us to send it ASAP. If you connect your registries to The Bump app you can use multiple stores/sites, but only have to use one URL!! It’s pretty awesome :)
