  • @froggerblue I’m so sorry you went through that, how scary. Glad to hear everything appears to be okay!

  • @froggerblue I’m so sorry. Do you think you might have been dehydrated?
  • @froggerblue Oh my gosh, how scary! And to have to wait so long to find out if all was okay on top of going through it.

  • @starlight8323 Thank you for your kind words. The cause is still unknown sadly and no further tests will be done since there are no symptoms or pain anymore. I was released from the ER. If I found anything out further down the line with my obgyn, I'll be sure to update.
They checked a lot of things from possible cyst to infection (even if I didn't have a fever), but they didn't check the cervix physically. I don't know if they could have had that information with the ultrasound.
I called my obgyn to let her know what happened. My next appointment is in two weeks and I will also have my NT scan in two weeks.

@cammie0526 Thank you for your support!

@anniemarie887 Thank you for your support! For being dehydrated, I doubt it. Since I reached 8 weeks, I up my water intake to 3 litters a day as it was suggested by my obgyn (about 12 cups a day).

@runningyogimama Thank you for your kind words. I must admit that it was really scary.
  • Today I’m 12 weeks and 3 days and I woke up this morning to use the bathroom and when I wiped I saw brown discharge on the toilet paper. I am worried because this is my first pregnancy. I did call the prenatal clinic that I go to and they said that as long as it’s brown it’s most likely old blood passing. I don’t have an cramps or pain. I also have an appointment tomorrow at the clinic so I’m definitely going to bring it up then. This brown discharge started today.

Has Anyone else had the same thing happen to them or had an experience like this also??
  • @moemoe_princess I’m so sorry you’re going through this! It‘s good to hear you’re not having any cramping! I’m thankful you already have an appointment scheduled for tomorrow! I will sure be thinking of you! Please let us know once you get confirmation that baby is okay!!
  • @moemoe_princess I'm sorry you are experiencing that. I don't have much wisdom to share on the matter but I'll think of you today.
  • I went to my doctors appointment today and everything was all good they said that the brown discharge is normal and they also took a swab of it just to make sure everything is ok. I also got to see the baby and the baby has a heartbeat and the baby is a little active one 🤰🏽😊💕 I’m glad everything is good.
So happy to hear! This is also my first pregnancy (currently 12 weeks exactly) and have had spotting throughout the first trimester, also no pains or severe cramping. The first time it was brown spotting around 6 weeks and so scary, went in for an early appointment, the dr did a transvaginal ultrasound and all was good. The second time it was past 9 weeks, more red and more of it so felt even more scary - went in for another transvaginal and all was good; strong heartbeat + good measurements.  Dr was more reassuring this time - says it happens a lot and unless bleeding through a pad within an hour or spotting continuously for more than 24 hours, try not to worry. Have had some brown spotting here and there between weeks 10 and 12 but still no pains or cramping, so I just try not to worry. While I don’t have the ability to offer the comforts of having carried to term yet, I hope it helps to know you’re not alone!
