Genetic testing

Hello! I'm 35 which makes me high risk and recently completed genetic testing bloodwork for abnormalities and gender. Looking forward to finding out the sex early! Is anyone else going through this testing, have you received your results? Ours will be back in 7 days. I'm currently 12wks today. Also curious if my intuition is right, feeling like it's a boy but EVERYONE else says girl, even my husband!

    I am 12 wks 6 days and currently waiting for the NIPT results. It has been 10 days since I had the test, waiting is soo difficult. I feel like it is a girl. Hope we have a healthy baby!

    @avocadoll wow, 10 days! Did yours go to Invitae by chance? I read they would be closed a few days for the holidays. I checked my patient portal and it's showing in step 3 of 6 for processing. Ours was sent Friday. Prayers for healthy babies for us both!

    I am not sure where it went, but I am in US. I asked my doc, they said it might be couple days delayed due to holidays:/

    I’ve been waiting 17 days 😭😭😭. It was supposed to be back in 7-14 days. My ob office said they’ll call again tomorrow.

    I got mine back in 8 days (before the holiday)! I don’t thought it was a boy but it’s a 3rd girl!

    Waiting SUCKS! I’m also high risk (I’m 37), and had a miscarriage last year, so it’s making me a bit anxious. I did mine 12 days ago. The time estimate they gave me also got moved back, so I should find out sometime between Friday and next Wednesday. 😡

    Also, my husband and I both feel like it’s a girl, just because with my first I had no morning sickness and with this one it was pretty bad (although getting better). We’ll see, though!

    I just got my results today! Low risk for genetic abnormalities and it is a girl!

    Final result of my testing today- all tests normal.  ITS A BOY!!!!!!!  🎉🎉🎉

    Congrats everyone on their exciting news!!! I’m going for my test next week I just hit 12 weeks, I’m nervous for the tests but I am dying to know too!!

    Congrats everyone!! Waiting on our results, should be back any day now. Did you get an email with your results or did your doctor/genetic counselor call you with them? We're supposed to get an email through the invitae portal but if there's an abnormality the counselor will call us to review.

    Genetic counselor called me to tell me everything was normal and 2 days later all the results were on my patient portal.

    Our results are in! Negative for chromosomal abnormalities and it's a BOY!!!!! Sooo crazy because I had a feeling from day one even though everyone else, even my husband, has said girl. Ahhhh!!! 🥰

    Did any one do the free EFTS?

    Enhanced first trimeste screening? Where it checks for Down syndrome etc? Or did everyone in this threat do NIPT version?

    I just got my results back today, everything came back great and found out sex of baby through the testing as well… my 3rd BOY. I cried I thought I was having my girl finally but I’m so thankful for the test results being good but still a little bummed. I know it’ll change once I hold my baby boy in my arms but now it’s like I’ll never get my girl :(

    @jmec23 I did the NIPT which also checked for Down Syndrome and other common chromosome abnormalities.

    I just got my test results back this morning from my genetic testing and it uploaded to my patient portal! I cannot bring myself to open the results! I’m high risk and 38 and I’m not sure if I want to know the gender!!! ahhhh

    Has anyone heard of an 'anomaly in the sex determination'? The genetics portion came back all clear, but my doctor (and the lab worker) was stumped at the results in the gender section. I am waiting for a specialist to review my results, but am wondering if having the NIPT done at early 10 weeks could've just been too soon?

    @baby-kingery I have not. But do know mine said they can predict the sex as early as 10 weeks through bloodwork.
