@Melissa112009 I understand your worry. In my first pregnancy I was similar to you. Barely any physical symptoms. It’s helpful to remind yourself that even just one symptom counts. Tender breasts, a lack of bleeding — those are two symptoms you have! Occasional queasiness is all i had last time too.
@Melissa112009 for what it's worth, I barely had any symptoms when I was pregnant with my son. Just sometimes tender breasts and random cravings! When we were far enough along, we would use the baby Doppler to hear the heartbeat and it was very reassuring.
Thank you all!! That makes me feel better. And the Doppler idea. I like that a lot. I keep talking to myself telling the baby to just make me sick already lol
@stashattack@emeraldcity603 you’re both in my thoughts and prayers this evening. I’m sorry for the pain and uncertainty and stress you’re going through
I'm currently at 8w3d. I have no appetite at all for the past 2 weeks. And it's horrible especially during the holidays where there's lots of food. It feels like a chore for me to eat and I have to force myself. I also have nausea at different times during the day. The worst for me is having a metallic taste and water tastes HORRIBLE!
@stashattack I ordered enough pizza yesterday so I could take care of meals super quick and be on my feet as little as possible. The smell is killing me and thinking of eating it myself makes my stomach do a flip. So nasty. My husband is on a plane now and headed home. I’m so glad because I plan to spend some time in my bed just relaxing and taking it easy after solo parenting this week.
@stashattach Not to mention my 15 month old is still having vomiting and diarrhea. He went 48 hours without vomiting and then I was up with him vomiting all over the place last night. I ended up sitting in my rocker holding him until he fell asleep because he kept wanting to nurse when we both were in the bed. It was a long night. The silver lining is that no one else has gotten sick and it’s been 9 days. Seriously though, when is this virus going to end?
I went to make my son’s breakfast and started dry heaving once I opened the fridge 🙃 I just want to puke at this point. It’s so frustrating to have no relief.
Hi all! I am 6w5d & my nausea has been rocking me! Today I am feeling more crampy which, naturally, is concerning because it’s different. For context, I’ve taken 5 pregnancy tests in the last 2 weeks because of shock & just my own need to confirm this is real! Trying not to let negativity fill my brain but do others have this? Is it normal to have a cramp break from the nausea?? I also have ramped up my ginger game so I’m hopeful that’s what is giving me relief from the nausea. Weird how we latch on to the discomfort as something that offers reassurance!

@ccmrc143 the same thing happened to me this morning. I can smell when someone in this house opens the fridge. My husband smoked a ham last week….and that’s all I smell when the fridge door opens. 🤢
After a month of making myself drink something because I just didn't want to, apparently I have become a flipping camel. I'm SO THIRSTY allllllllll the time. I still prefer things that are carbonated and the only fruity flavor I have any interest in is cherry (like cherry coke...) so there goes trying to use my Crystal Light or anything remotely healthy. But even with just plain water, I can't seem to get enough (until I get waterlogged for like 10 minutes and then feel like a lizard again). This is a weird new symptom I've not experienced before.
@Melissa112009 I have no symptoms with my pregnancies if it makes you feel better. With my first, my only symptom was a positive pregnancy test and this one is very similar. No nausea, no tenderness, nothing. I feel slightly more winded at the gym. It can be very nerve-wracking but just letting you know it's not necessarily a bad sign. I had perfectly healthy baby girl the first time.
My nausea starts in the middle of the night when I get woken by my 15 month old. Basically at any point where my brain gets turned on enough. Then it’s a slow progression of yuck until it peaks in the afternoon and then slowly goes away again.
I have had pregnancies where I was waking and vomiting at night and then others where the only symptoms I really had was diarrhea. Yes, diarrhea is a symptom.
Edit to add: my point is, symptoms vary greatly. I feel more secure with heavier symptoms but it doesn’t necessarily mean anything is wrong when you don’t have strong symptoms.
@ki1244 I've felt that same thirst but no desire for "plain water"! I always want sparkling water or even an icee lol, that is the only thing that sounds good sometimes. Let's keep chugging when we can 🙃
My symptoms have been all over the place this pregnancy. It seems like they change every week! Very sore boobs have remained, extreme fatigue (our poor house is a mess), and hunger all the time even after eating a full meal! Luckily nausea only happens rarely for me. Just trying to give my body what it needs at this point 🤪
Has anyone else experienced what I assume to be ligament pain this early on around 8 weeks? It doesn't feel like cramps, and from what I've researched it sounds like ligament pain. Very interesting things!
@mrskoehl I can’t remember how early I felt it last time. This time I was slightly sore after running this weekend, which was pretty norm last time also. But nothing consistent yet.
Anyone notice they now have car sickness and they didn’t before? Doesn’t matter if I’m driving or riding. I just can’t. I haven’t tossed my cookies (knock on wood) but even if I’m feeling fine getting in the car, I feel awful driving around. Unfortunately I tote my kids all week so this just sucks.
Today is also a bad nausea day. Haven’t been able to eat much and took the afternoon to work from home ☹️
@Melissa112009 it's weird, because I'm grateful to feel good, but I've also had two losses so it's not comforting at the same time. I just wanted to provide you with a positive outcome with no symptoms! My mom and sister are the same way so I think a lot of it is hereditary. So far this little babe looks good too. Just quietly hanging out in there
My brand new exciting symptom is the past two evenings when I’m gagging or sneezing, i pee a little. I hate it so much. I didn’t think I had issues with this from postpartum but I guess maybe being pregnant again is making my pelvic floor weaker? Ugh
Exhaustion has hit! I cannot stay awake in the afternoon. the catch is I fall asleep and then I can’t fall asleep at night. I also just sleep like crap too, can’t get comfortable, can’t sleep on my belly because it hurts my belly and boobs and that’s always been my preference for sleeping
I’m also a belly sleeper and so far it’s been ok, just suffering through the sore breasts because I’m exhausted enough that I pass out anyway. I’m squeezing in all the belly sleep while I still can. Except 1/3 of the time I wake up around 2 am and am awake for 2-3 hours. Not cool.
Last night I ate an ice cream sandwich and the urge to immediately eat a second one was so strong. I had to leave the room! Later, I ended up back in the kitchen for something else and found myself staring at the box in the freezer. I finally satiated the craving a bit by drinking some of DS chocolate milk (straight from the carton lol), then it was his bath time so I was too busy to succumb.
@tumbleweed-1@justyouraveragemama I’m also a belly sleeper. So far it’s been ok but yeah I’m so so dreading the switch to side sleep when it has to happen. I will never forget how good it felt postpartum first night in my bed to finally sleep the way I like to.
@tumbleweed-1 i could have written the first part of your post. Literally exactly the same here. Also a belly sleeper and having nightly random insomnia.
It doesn’t hurt like super bad to lay on my stomach just uncomfortable mostly like there’s just too much pressure if that makes sense! I really didn’t think I’d need a pregnancy pillow before 2nd tri but each night the urge to order one gets stronger😂
