Castro Oil?

Any moms ever taken Castro oil to help with the process of labor? If so how long did it take you to start feeling something?

    Unless your doctor has told you to do this please don’t try and induce labor. Baby will come when they are ready. I believe castor oil “works” by inducing stomach cramps and diarrhea. I think this can also lead to indigestion in th baby and meconium in the water.

    ETA: I assume you mean castor oil

    Everything @meggyme said, plus why would you want to go into labor with intentionally give yourself diarrhea - im sure the medical staff appreciated it- granted they have seen it all, but still.  I cannot imagine pushing and having diarrhea spurting just because I wanted to try and induce labor.

    Yeah, do not use castor oil. Talk to your doctor about evening primrose oil. It’s much safer. Don’t use borage oil either.
