    Upcoming appointments: 12/30 telehealth intake, 1/6 PCP, 1/20 10 week OB

    How are you feeling: Super unmotivated, grumpy, heartburny/nauseous

    Rants / Raves: We got 90% of the parts of the new computer we are building! Which is exciting! But we are still waiting on the tower to DH can't start building it yet.

    GTKY: What's your favorite holiday movie? Probably Love Actually.

    Upcoming appointments: December 19th because someone else has to order the dating scan and they have to see me to do so🙄 

    How are you feeling: morning sickness and fatigue are settling in. Not quite at the fall asleep anywhere stage but I’m definitely zapped of energy.

    Rants / Raves: we got a second fridge from one of my sisters friends for free! We’ve been looking for a second fridge mostly as a “beer fridge” for quite some time but didn’t want to spend a ton of money on one since it isn’t replacing our current one

    Questions: nope

    GTKY: What's your favorite holiday movie? Tough one! I think maybe the grinch Jim carrey version or the polar express!

    Upcoming appointments: 12/19 consultation & tour of a birth center & practice to see if I’d like to establish care there. Which I probably will because it’s the most convenient birth center choice near me

    How are you feeling: sort of stressing now about not having a real appointment booked yet, but there’s also not much to see or do this early along 

    Rants / Raves: rant- I always over do it during the holidays lol I have a lot of cards and gifts I’d hoped to complete before we go on winter break this Friday.

    GTKY: What's your favorite holiday movie? Tough one. Love Actually it’s really good, but I think I’m going with The Santa Clause (just the first one)

    @justyouraveragemama yeah the nausea is settling in here too. DH kept saying "oh you were already feeling sick by this time, so you are probably gonna be fine" for the last week. I had to remind him I found out like a whole week earlier this time because we were actively tracking this time, unlike the last time. LOL. 

    @tumbleweed-1 I need to rewatch that one! Maybe one night as a family movie night!

    Rants / Raves: While not getting morning sickness yet I only want to eat popcorn. Nothing else sits right.

    GTKY: What's your favorite holiday movie
    Nightmare before christmas. Its my favorite movie overall though. If you don't count that then the Santa Clause, all 3 are great.

    Upcoming appointments: Dec 19 with my family doctor and a potential midwife
    How are you feeling: A bit more tired than normal but not quite passing out on the couch yet
    Rants / Raves: My university friends had a Christmas gathering this weekend for the first time since covid and a bunch of us have had kids since then (oldest kid is 3) and it was so fun to see everyone and their kiddos.

    GTKY: What's your favorite holiday movie? Home Alone is a classic. Also a big fan of Santa Clause!

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM and good lord am I realizing that

    Upcoming appointments: December 29 for dating ultrasound and first appointment with my doctor

    How are you feeling: TIRED but that's probably more because we're currently at Disney World, and in the last two days I've clocked 45,000 steps and almost 18 miles of walking. Had I not taken a test I'd legit have no idea I'm pregnant, which clearly means I have to take like six when I get home.

    Rants / Raves: Rave - This trip has been so fun. We told my mother in law (she's here with us) in person yesterday with a surprise I rigged up, to have a gal I know from my travel agency who happened to be here at the same time we were come deliver a bag to us while we were taking a family picture, and inside were some baby Dumbo ears. It was so sweet to see her reaction. We've gotten lots of fun pictures with the ears too, for an announcement and to tell my parents when we get home.
     
    Rant - not really a rant, but just a thing...I'm not dealing with the intense depression this time around that I had with my first pregnancy (antepartum depression, PPD's ugly cousin) but so far it's just apathy. Like...I don't know if it's just denial, or life moving at a different place now, or what, but I just don't feel pregnant and don't really care much that I am. Maybe that will change with the ultrasound...? Or not, I don't know, I didn't really feel much connection to my daughter until our anatomy scan when we found out she's a girl and gave her a name. Either way I feel a little bad about my lack of excitement, but I'm just...not.

    GTKY: What's your favorite holiday movie? Christmas Vacation or Elf, depending on my mood. Ah, for the old days of SNL when it was actually funny..........

    Upcoming apts: phone consult 12/20

    How are you feeling? Anxious but excited. Overthinking a lot and worrying about it all. Also wish i had lost a little weight prior to this but it’s gods timing for a reason. But also excited for the experience of being pregnant and of course to meet our lil babe and see my husband become a father. 

    Rants/raves: not feeling pregnant yet except for having insomnia.

    @ki1244 I'm glad your trip to disney was good! I mean I'm the same way with the connection thing. It's usually the first ultrasound that makes it feel real. I don't think there's anything wrong with not feeling a connection right now.

    @lilbabeincubator I also wish I had loss a little weight before hand. But then I remember I lost a ton of weight during the first trimester last time anyway. LOL. My nausea didn't kick in until week 6ish and peak around week 8. It didn't get better until like week 16? And OMG I love the holiday. I need to watch it again soon!

    Upcoming appointments: seeing an endocrinologist tomorrow to start insulin   :/

    How are you feeling: exhausted

    Rants / Raves: I am NOT ready for Christmas and have no desire to get ready for Christmas

    GTKY: What's your favorite holiday movie? Home Alone, and Christmas vacation.  DH and I actually just went to a showing last week where we got to do a meet & greet and Q&A with Chevy chase.

    @lilbabeincubator we have the same sentiments! FTM here as well and I'm feeling anxious and excited also. And I also wished I had lost a little weight before all this but yeah, God's timing :)

    Upcoming appointments: I have a second monitoring ultrasound apt next Thursday 

    How are you feeling: great! Went for my first ultrasound yesterday and the doctor said everything is looking right on target. We even saw a heartbeat! I’m feeling hopeful this time around. 

    Rants / Raves: I’m a little upset that  I probably can’t eat lox with my bagel for Hanukkah.  going to confirm with the doc lol.

    GTKY: What's your favorite holiday movie?
    a Christmas carol (staring alistair sim) and Christmas vacation, of course!

    Est due date: 8/9, 6 weeks and 3 days along. I'm a first time mom, and have my intake call on Dec 27th and first visit/ultrasound on January 25th.

    How you're feeling: I got the worst head cold I've had in years after traveling to visit my parents for the holidays and learned that there's just about nothing I can take! The little local drugstore was out of Tylenol (!!) and only had super-extreme cold meds with stuff I can't have in them. Eugh. No fever or anything, so I'm keeping it together with Vick's and tea.

    My husband arrives next week and we plan to tell my parents together, but it's been a real dance avoiding the cold medicine they keep trying to throw at me. ("Why won't you just take something!?" "I'M 🤧 FINE 🤧🤧").  I'm super wiped out, hungry all the time, and a bit bloated/have sore boobs, but I still don't have morning sickness, thank goodness (not having it runs in the family -- I'm excited to talk to my mom about her experience and what to maybe expect next week).
