December 2022 Moms

PPROM

I awoke around 2 am hoping maybe I peed in my sleep. By 3 am when I had the next gush I knew it was definitely amniotic fluid. I'm 33+3 today. I'm not in active labor. If I start going into labor, they won't stop it because I'm far enough along. If I don't go into active labor, I'll remain on antibiotics and monitored at hospital until Friday when I'm 34 weeks and will be induced. I've had the first steroid shot for lung development. Next one is tomorrow morning. Send positive vibes!! I'll let you know when baby boy arrives. I thought I was having a Thanksgiving baby, not a Halloween baby!!!!

  • I hope the little one stays in until Friday and that your labour goes smoothly! Looks like your little one just can’t wait to meet you! Sending all the positive vibes. You got this!
  • Sending you all the good vibes for a smooth delivery!!  ❤️❤️
  • Thanks! 2nd steroid shot this morning. Best results are after 24 hours for lung development. Still no sign of labor so hoping to keep cooking this baby until Friday. We will be looking at a NICU stay of an undetermined length. This is so not what I was expecting so just taking it day by day.
  • We made it to 34 weeks! Waiting on a labor & delivery room to start induction. Pretty crazy that my December baby is about to be an October baby.
  • I had PPROM with my son, he was born at 34 weeks. He was in the NICU for 2 weeks, not gonna lie was some of the hardest days of our lives. Thankfully he is now a healthy thriving 2.5 year old. He mostly needed support with feeding and temperature regulation and time to grow. He had a NG tube to help him meet his feeding goals which was pulled 3 days before we went home. Best of luck 🤞
