We take a little stroll every morning, and lately, along our route, some sprinklers have been on. Yesterday, they weren't really sprinkling on the sidewalk, so we made a game of it and ran through (I hate having to get off the sidewalk and then back up, PITA). The Radish loved it and didn't get a drop on her.
Well today, DH came along. Once again the sprinklers were on. I was all, "Oh it's ok, we ran through yesterday and it was totally fine!" So off I go, saying "WHEEEEE!" like an idiot, noticing that I'm getting a lot more drops on me than yesterday. When we get through I look in at the Radish and she's looking all shocked and is all covered in tiny water drops. I felt so bad but almost died laughing at her face, it was so cute. She looked kind of surprised and stunned but not upset in anyway.
H freaked of course (he's such a mother hen) and I dried her off and she started shrieking in delight and was just fine. he's like, "Oh dear should we go back, will she get cold?" and I told him not to be ridiculous, the child runs like a furnace, it's already 70 degrees out here and she wearing a helmet, that was probably the highlight of the day. Haha! My special child. So it was slight fail on my part but no one got too upset, well except for DH, but he'll live. Told him to go but on his big girl pants and we'd all be ok.

I say WIN too! Introducing her to a summer classic!
Now if the sprinklers were the kind on golf courses with fertilizer in them, that's another issue...but remind your DH that this is good old fun!
He's growing up, but he'll always be my baby!
