Love this thread 😍 I loved my wedding dress. It was ivory and gold ombre, lace with buttons up the back. I would pick it again in a heartbeat! My 2 sisters and I all wore my mom's veil from 1982 at our weddings
I wore a dress for my first marriage, which I'll refrain from adding here. But, it was a $50 miracle find off craigslist less than a week before the ceremony LOL.
This time around.....who knows. We've been talking about getting married (and having an ours baby....SURPRISE!) for years, so now we're obviously doing things in a slightly less conventional order. I do think we'll have a wedding or ceremony at some point....if only most so the step kiddos can celebrate and feel involved, but I'm not sure I'll do the whole dress thing again.
I honestly like being able to show his kiddos (esp the girls, now 9 & 11) that love doesn't have to fit "the fairytale" to be real. My silicone engagement rings have been a perfect example of this so far....I love them - from the fact I never have to worry about wearing them around the barn or doing dishes, and also because they're cheap enough that he can surprise me with new colors or designs on occasion.....and maybe simply because its a different way of doing things.
Here’s my dress from my wedding in 2017 💙 I tried on all of my “inspo” dresses and didn’t feel that *moment* until this one. It’s not at all what I had pinned on Pinterest as inspo, but as soon as I tried it on I knew it was the one! Still love it five years later!

Oh my, I remember being young! This was January 2013, in Connecticut, because I didn't want to sweat/swat away bugs in my wedding dress.
