Re: TTGP Grad Check-In August 2022
*How long were you active on TTGP and when (minimum of 3 months)? 2 years 1 month
*How far along are you? 5w2d
*Which birth month board/due date? April 2023
*Team Pink/Blue/Green? Pretend-green
*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it. We have a iNotes started with names. Oddly enough, with our last pregnancy, we had a name picked out and agreed on by week 5.
*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? Ooph, where to start. First of all, this is all still feeling quite unreal to me. It's a completely different feeling than last time, where I truly thought the pregnancy was a miracle and that we were going to get our THB after our hail mary medicated cycle before attempting a transfer. This time around, I'm just taking it day-by-day, and going about my life without thinking out it too much. I know those of you with loss history will understand.
The biggest update is that about a week after my BFP, I finally had my consult with a reproductive immunologist (a call that had been postponed multiple times since March) and he's like "we've got a lot of work to do to ensure you keep this pregnancy." So he put me on: Metformin, Lovenox, BA, estrace, progesterone, MTX (folate supplement). This is all based on the Pregmune testing that I had done back in Dec 2021, that revealed I had underlying immune conditions which can get triggered in pregnancy. Anyways, my belly is already a nightmare of purple bruises. The biggest / most difficult decision here was that I had to "agree to disagree" with TEW who has been my rock during most of the IF journey. She absolutely didn't think I needed to take any of the medications that Dr. J prescribed because my past losses have been genetic in nature. HOWEVER, I also got a second opinion from Dr. Vidali (the person behind the Pregmune report) and he agreed with Dr. J's recommendations. This was one of the hardest decisions I had to make, and I had to get a lot of counsel in the RI Facebook group and also just followed by gut. @kiki047 and @inthewoods23 really helped here as well.
I don't have to tell you guys that I'm lurking (hopefully you didn't even notice my departure) cause I am, and will continue to do so until I no longer recognize any names here. Also still keeping some April BMB seats open for my IF ladies!

*How long were you active on TTGP and when (minimum of 3 months)? May2021- Nov2021
* How far along are you? 5 days postpartum
*Which birth month board/due date? Due 8/11, baby came 8/2
*Team Pink/Blue/Green? Pink
*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it. Her name is Amelia June. June reminding us of our MC last year and the rainbow that she is.
*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share?
Is this my last update? It feels surreal to be sharing that we’ve had her. I’ve already cried happy, and thankful, tears so many times. And have felt all of the anxiety of making sure this treasure is perfectly taken care of. I had a good labor and delivery, and my recovery has been pretty easy. Some of our blood mixed at birth and we’re different blood types, so that caused a couple issues and extended our hospital stay an extra day (you can google ABO incompatibility if you’re interested in the details, it’s not a huge thing). But, she is doing good at home now, just a little jaundice still. My boys are beyond thrilled to have a little sister.
I’m always lurking and wishing this same joy for every single one of you. I have nothing but gratefulness for the time I spent in this community and each and everyone of you wonderful ladies. This is truly the greatest corner of the internet because of all of you. 💕💕
*How long were you active on TTGP and when (minimum of 3 months)? 3 years - Sept 2018 to Nov 2021
*How far along are you? 3 weeks PP!
*Which birth month board/due date? Due 7.14; DS arrived 7.19
*Team Pink/Blue/Green? Team blue of course!
*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it. It was weird sitting there with him wondering if the name we always had in mind was the right one. I wouldn't call it cold feet, but it was that nervous energy you get before doing something permanent and you're worried you're going to mess it up. Since his name is very unique I'm going to spoiler it.
*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? I can't remember when I did my July update so some of this may be a repeat. I had a high blood pressure reading in early July and was told if I had another high BP reading they would want to induce me. My due date came and went. I got DH to take me out for breakfast that weekend since it was a bonus weekend before becoming parents
. Had some delicious crepes
. Monday morning I thought my water broke after getting out of the shower so I went in to my OB's office to check it. It wasn't my water breaking after all but I did have 2 more high BP readings while I was there so they recommended inducing me. I had terrible back labor and caved much faster than I thought I would have for the epidural. Maybe that would have been different if labor came on naturally. Apparently things in L&D were chaotic that day as I had a rotation of doctors throughout my labor. They had to call in additional doctors to handle everyone and they even needed to have a heart surgeon assist with the multiple emergency C-sections that happened! I was half out of it from the pain meds and/or epidural so I learned this all second hand from DH. I ended up with a 2nd degree tear but my recovery has been very smooth and DS is thriving although the road has been a little bumpy trying to figure this all out as a first timer.
As for the wedding....
Sorry I don't have anything juicier. There's just so many little things that add up to the day being overall weird
I can't believe this is my last update. What a long journey it has been. This board was my rock for so long and I'll never forget all the friends I've made here
. I'll still be lurking and checking to see how everyone is doing. I still periodically check my inbox for anyone that wants to send a PM.
Wishing you all the best and all the strength in the world!

Newborn life with a toddler is very different than for the first one (and also when you are kind of trying to work too-- I do not recommend this), but our family is adjusting well. Weird to say but I do miss you all, and I have been lurking a bit less often of late but I am still around. Rooting for everyone, particularly the long-haul IFers.

*How are you doing picking out a name? We are still between 2. When we were deciding DD’s name we went with the one I really wanted so if DH ends up having a preference I’ll let him pick. Otherwise hopefully we will know when we see him!
*Questions, concerns or other? After dodging covid for the last 2.5 years it finally caught up to me. I am pretty sick, and worried about the baby, but I was able to get an appointment this afternoon for the monoclonal antibody treatment which I’m thrilled about. Other than that all is well baby wise!

*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it. We definitely do not have a firm name in mind either way, but we have some solid lists. We are going with an Italian name (my SO is from Italy) that works well in English. I'd rather it not be super popular so I'm checking name lists in Italy, the UK (where we live) and the US (my nationality) which is making it a little tricky but fun. So for example, Sofia is lovely and fits the Italian/English criterion, but it's one of the top names in all three countries so it's out.
*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? I waited to update until after my NT scan which was last week. Everything is looking good which was very exciting for this almost-42-year-old lady! I measured 5 days ahead of LMP-based EDD and 2 days ahead of O-based EDD which surprised me so I suddenly reached the third trimester before I was expecting to. That was nice. I am very happy to see some more graduates joining April and I'm keeping my eye on the board and rooting for everyone else to join a BMB soon

*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it. I have some name options. If it’s a girl it will be much easier than if it’s a boy. My husband and I are pretty efficient when it comes to making choices like this though.
*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? We had our first appointment with our midwife today and first ultrasound. Everything is going well so far!
