Need color suggestions for birthday cake

I am having a gift box cake made for Joshua's birthday this Saturday.  His favorite color is orange. 

I was going to ask my baker to make the ribbon orange, but I am at a loss as far as what color the actual cake (the box) be...blue is out because as most know we are die-hard Niners fans, so having a blue and orange cake would just not go over well (i.e. Denver Broncos).

Another idea was going with two different shades of orange...what do you think?  Any other suggestions?

    Orange looks good with yellows too.  Although if it's a present cake, you could just do the package as white?  Or ou could throw in some polka dots to match the invite:  yellows and greens along with the blue and then it would be less of a bronco's cake. :)

    Donna & I are so like minded it's scary.

    I was just thinking a white package with the bright polka dots from the invite with the orange ribbon.  Adorable!!!

    Donna - I didn't even think about modeling it after the invitation.  I LOVE that idea. 

    Now I have to find the file and email it to her.
