@rblack7 I know it’s hard not to worry but in the early stages symptoms can come and go. I say this and I was freaking out the other day because I thought my nausea had stopped. It didn’t though. These early days without confirmations are hard. Hang in there.
I am 6 weeks. Terrible nausea and some vomiting . Ginger and saltines help a bit. My obgyn suggested combining B6 and Unisom before bed - anyone had any luck with that??
5 weeks here and so far I just have sore boobs and fatigue. What does your nausea feel like? I’ve gotten waves of what I would consider a lightheaded feeling. Usually when I’m sitting down. Not sure if that would qualify as nausea or not?
@emy162 I took it with both previous pregnancies and am not sure it really did anything but it also doesn’t hurt. With my son I gave in and got zofran which definitely helped.
Hi @paigemd23 , I think it may feel differently for different people, and at different severities
For me it feels like really really bad motion sickness, pretty much 24/7. The idea of any food makes me want to gag/throw up, even the foods I usually love. I've mostly been eating saltines and ginger ale, and trying to get simple meals in when I can. I only throw up some days. Cold food has definitely been a better option than hot food! I'm taking my prenatal, and a daily Ritual prenatal shake too since my nutrition from food has been suffering
It's hard to concentrate on work like this!!
Thanks @angbaby83 - I'll try it out and see if it has any effect, and if not I'll consider other options
@emy162 there is good evidence on Vitamin B6 and acupuncture to help with the morning sickness. Also try lemon and ginger teas. One of my friends told me that the hungrier she got, the worse the nausea would be. I’ve been taking her advice and eating a few crackers and it seems to help prevent the nausea from getting worse.

@ttc3y this is definitely true for me. I think a lot of times it's lack of protein that causes sickness to be worse. For some reason with my daughter I needed more protein and would throw up throughout the day if I didn't keep eating meat. I didn't have that with my boys but protein does seem to make a difference. Having quick things like nuts or cheese or peanut butter on hand may help.
@seeds_of_joy I’m with you - clean meat, nuts, and liquids are my go-to right now. My smoothies have been saving me, too.
Today was so much less nausea for me than yesterday, thank god. I started off the day trying to clean house and do things before I felt like crap, but I stayed pretty even all day with lots of fluids and mostly nuts and crackers.
On another note, as a pregnant gal who is still nursing, I’ve started watching my blood pressure sink faster this time then last pregnancy. Anybody else tracking their BP or nursing a kiddo still? The worst part is since I’ve been pregnant, my nipples feel like they’re getting THRASHED. So sore and even peeling a little bit. Not comfy, but I have such a passion for nursing, I’m just pushing through when DD seems to really need it, but I’m cutting her off when it’s more of a jokey pacifier type situation.
Hey guys, help me out here. What does “morning sickness” feel like?? I didn’t have any at all my last pregnancy. But I woke up this morning feeling like I had a hangover on steroids. Sour stomach, headache, a little disoriented.
@LaceyBee522 For me, it’s always been just extreme nausea. I’ve never vomited with any of my pregnancies, just had the awful nauseous feeling that won’t go away (usually all day).
@LaceyBee522 like a hangover sounds about right. I never really vomited from morning sickness but just a general nauseous state all day. I had to keep snacking to keep it at bay.
@cpk3535 I’m still nursing my almost 2 year old. Thankfully, the nips are hanging in there 😂. A little sensitivity here and there, but it’s not too bad.
@LaceyBee522 haha, it’s such a pleasure to have morning sickness! I honestly don’t remember anything with DD#1, but I definitely got it with DD#2 and baby#3 is giving me a run for my money so far! No puking for me either, although I’ve gotten closer this time. For what it’s worth, I’m don’t throw up very often, even with stomach flus, so this doesn’t shock me 🤷♀️ Just lucky I guess, lol!
@kristinl492 How much have you ramped up your water intake for nursing plus pregnant? I’m trying to see how much extra I might need, but having a hard time locating much data. Coconut oil on my nipples has helped, though!
First pregnancy, currently at 5 weeks and 3 days and I'm having nausea, sore boobs and cramping. The cramping has me the most worried because it's been low level cramping almost all the time since 3.5 weeks. But I hear it can still be considered normal so I'm praying and hoping for that 😊
Is anyone else cold ALL OF THE TIME? It’s summer and I’m shivering under a blanket 😂
@cpk3535 I already drink a ton of water + my son only nurses 1-2x a day, give or take, so while I’ve been trying to stay hydrated simply because of being pregnant, I didn’t really factor nursing into it. I have a 30oz Yeti that is glued to my side and I try to drink 3-4 of those a day.
@kristinl492 I actually was suspicious I was pregnant before I tested because I was also freezing and shivering in summer. I'm better now, but yes, I too am definitely running colder than normal at the moment.
@kristinl492 Also cold all the time! Didn’t experience that with any of my prior pregnancies. I’ve been shivering the last three days and wearing a sweatshirt with the AC at 71.
I’m feeling super hormonal/crabby the last few days. Like zero patience, especially with my older kids….
@kristinl492 - yes, I have been cold! I wasn't connecting it to pregnancy symptoms, but it would make sense. I went to sit in the 95 degree weather yesterday evening, rather than endure the AC anymore.
I am not having any symptoms! I know most would be thankful for that, but given my history, I am of course worried. Although I'm only 4+2, so I'm being patient. And again, also thankful I don't have any, but I really like them for peace of mind 😬😬
@runningyogimama I remember having hot flashes this early with my first two pregnancies, but I swear I don’t remember being cold. I’ve had the hot flashes this time as well.
@nwshay I hear you on the symptoms giving a little peace of mind. My queasiness has kind of gone away and since I’m still having spotting, I’m grateful for any other symptom.
Is anybody else finding their constipation kicking in full force? I’m already have bad constipation on a regular basis, but during pregnancy it gets AWFUL. Sorry if this is TMI, but just wanted to see if I have any empathizers, lol!
@emy162 I don’t throw up every day but I am throwing up and have nausea all day. If the b6 and unisom combo isn’t working definitely talk to your doctor. I had to take zofran when I was pregnant with my son. I’ve been horribly sick with all my pregnancies. It’s rough but it does pass. Most women start to feel better after the first trimester.
Not sure how far along I am yet, thinking 5 weeks or so but should know in the next week! Currently have on and off nausea, nothing bad. Just a few times a day accompanied with some burping, I take a tums and it goes away. I am having lower back pain, which I had early on with my first. Seat warmers are on in the truck while its 100 degrees outside. I am freezing everyone out at work, but by the end of the day I'm freezing myself out as well. I had major hot flashes the entire pregnancy the first time around, so looking forward to that again. Thank goodness for winter babies! I am also having minor cramping on and off. Life everyone else has said, this is the most worrisome for me, but my brain keeps reminding me its normal, a lot is happening down there, it would make sense that I would feel something!
Ll be six weeks tomorrow. Nausa started this week. Yesturday I was really nauseous during sleep and most of the day. Today I'm less nauseous...is it normal for the severity of nausa to fluctuate some days? Paranoid and over thinking everything!
@LaceyBee522 I have been feeling stretching and RLP for the past few days and my lower abdomen is getting hard as well. I actually lost 2 pounds, but feel huge lol. Sleep is getting harder and I'm fighting the urge to break out the pregnancy pillow lol.

I'm going to reach out to my doctor because I'm anxious from having a MMC in February.
Anyone else have 24/7 nausea, and vomiting ~1x a day?
