Symptoms?

Hi ladies! What symptoms is everyone experiencing so far? 5 weeks along here and the insomnia is REAL (and annoying lol.) Along with tender breasts, fatigue, and increased appetite.

Re: Symptoms?

  • 5 weeks today and dealing with extreme fatigue (I feel like I’m dying if I can’t take a nap around 3pm, lol), constipation 🙈, and tender breasts just started yesterday… Also constantly swaying between starving and zero appetite.

  • Hey @knottiea7631f35bceae1f3! It’s helpful if you change your username as we get to know each other! It’s also helpful for board organization if you update the title of the post to Symptoms - month of June or Symptoms - 1st Tri so the post stays easy to find and we don’t end up with a million of the same one.

  • Also 5 weeks today, and waves of nausea and exhaustion over here, along with insomnia, and weird dreams from the hormones. Food sounds disgusting.

I’m apparently so tired that I had a dream last night that I fell asleep at my desk today working, lol.

  • This is my 3rd pregnancy since 2 losses this year (I have 2 older kids) and I’m freaking out because I don’t have sore boobs!  At all!  Feeling like something must be wrong.
The fatigue hits in waves, I wake up suddenly every day at 6:30 (not like me at all), and I get sick if I eat anything spicy. I am also like others who mentioned I’m either starving to death or not hungry at all. Definitely more emotional and easily hurt feelings lol. (My poor bf 😅)
some light cramping. Just nervous and counting down the days for an ultrasound so I can make sure all is ok!

Hi! Third pregnancy, I have also had the starving feeling in both other pregnancies, I’d get up in the middle of the night to eat but I don’t remember it starting this early. I’m glad to see I’m not the only one going between not hungry at all and absolutely starving! Small amount of nausea so far but other than that nothing else!
  • This is my first child but 3rd pregnancy this year. First was a miscarriage at 5w+6, second was chemical pregnancy at 4w+5. I am currently 5w+5 (VERY anxious to get to 6 week mark). I haven’t really felt significant symptoms. With my first pregnancy, my boobs were very tender/sore from 3w+3days on. I started feeling slight tenderness this weekend but it’s not very significant. Some days I felt exhausted and had to take a nap in the afternoon, other days were fine. Similar to my first pregnancy, I’ve had insomnia/waking up much earlier than usual. I’ve mostly had a decreased appetite/feel uncomfortable when there’s food in my stomach, but yesterday I just felt starving and ate soo much. Today I’m not starving but I’m not uncomfortable with eating either. I am very nervous about no/little symptoms and what that could mean for keeping the pregnancy 😔 it really stinks that only time can tell.
  • Third pregnancy, about 5 weeks today. Biggest symptom(s) so far are extreme fatigue by 2/3pm and insomnia at night (such a fun combo!)  Thus far no nausea or food aversions but if this pregnancy is anything like my first 2, that didn't hit until week 6 with 7-9ish weeks being the worst of it.  So I'm trying to eat healthy and balanced and get in some exercise while I still can!  OH and everything and pretty much everyone annoys me...so I should probably add mood swings to the list
  • First pregnancy! Five weeks today…I have sore boobs, mood swings, fatigue, minor insomnia, major bloating, and I bounce back and forth between being super hungry and not interested in food whatsoever.
Most of the nausea I had took place super super early on, and I’m nervous it’ll come back next week. 😬
  • Bloating, cramping (more like a stretching feeling), need to eat something first thing in the morning, no food cravings but I've been more decisive with what sounds good lol, minor nausea but not to the point if needing to throw up, eating more often throughout the day, sore boobs, and my God the fatigue is real.

5 weeks and 2 days here. Menstrual like cramps are pretty ongoing. They even wake me up in the night. General fatigue and sore boobs. This morning I woke up Soo hungry and felt like I couldn't eat fast enough. No nausea or food aversions (yet). My mood is pretty melancholy, maybe from the fatigue.
  • Hi! I am exactly 5 weeks! But before and what made me take a test was that i had tender and huge breasts, like wow! I’ve had nausea but not bad yet
  • 5 weeks 2 days here. Tender breasts. Running hotter then usual. I actually had sweats last night but I read that is ok. Some bloating and cramping. Sometimes I wonder if I’m actually pregnant, but we did do a blood test so it was pretty firm on the high hCG.
I’ve worked out a lot for the last decade, so I’m keeping that up and I noticed my heart rate gets up sooner like my body is working harder, likely due to running so hot. No sickness or food aversions yet.
I think the toughest part has been Mom anxiety lol like worrying about the baby. And I have a feeling this will not go away for the rest of my life 🫠😅
  • Hey! 1st baby here! I haven’t been sleeping either, but that is also nothing new. My breasts are starting to get tender just today. I have been super hot at basically all times. No morning sickness but some acid reflux! Can’t wait for this journey we’re all on!
  • 4 weeks +2 and I'm ravenous, really warm, sore boobs, exhausted and all of my senses (smell/touch esp) are super heightened. Not looking forward to the nausea which I'm sure is coming...
  • Anyone have any tips/tricks for bloating?? I’m 5w5d and already feeling like I need stretchy pants, lol. No weight gain but the bloat is real!
  • 5w1d and this is my first pregnancy. I think i’m just the lucky winner of having all of the symptoms, it’s been super intense. Cramping, lightheaded, nausea, some throwing up (twice so far). I just want to sleep, my boobs hurt terribly bad and 99% of the day I just want to cry. I had no idea it would hit me this fast this early but I sure hope some things subside soon because I’m a night shift RN and have no idea how i’m going to work with this… 😭
  • i’m glad to see other people with cramps, they’re what make me the most nervous but it seems like they’re pretty normal lol.
  • @jessie_rn29 sorry to hear you've seemingly been hit with all the symptoms so soon!  For what it's worth, I hope it gives you some peace of mind that your pregnancy is moving along!  With my first 2, I always felt slightly comforted by the nausea and symptoms knowing that it was the healthy pregnancy causing them.

I am ~5weeks 3 days or so and while I had the typical symptoms around when i got my BFP, it feels like the symptoms have subsided which makes me a tad nervous.  I'm still tired from insomnia at night and just tired by about 3pm everyday but so far no nausea.  I would say food just doesn't sound appealing at all.  It's so easy to forget from pregnancy to pregnancy but I think my nausea set in around 6 weeks with my first two.

A new symptom this time around has been the 'let down' sensation in my boobs from when I was nursing.  It's happened several times now and I notice it immediately and it brings me back. I don't recall feeling it this early my last pregnancy, and never with my first until i was actually nursing!
  • @emeraldisle17 Yes to the “letdown” sensation!! Not so much this week for me, but maybe right around 4ish weeks I definitely had that a few times!

  • i have some shortness of breath when I talk or do something too fast. But I’m peaceful for the most part & feeling good.
  • Hi all, I’ve definitely been feeling some symptoms. I’m 4w+2d and I’ve been feeling extremely bloated, constipated, nauseous, really warm (maybe that’s just the heat wave we have here), and I’ve had some cramping. This is my second pregnancy this year. I ended up miscarrying at 5w+2d back in April, so the cramping I’m having now is making me a little worrisome. Hoping to have a healthy, full term pregnancy!
  • 4w today and I'm exhausted despite sleeping well. It's so frustrating (but I fully get why) to not be able to tell my team at work because I know they'd be super supportive when I need to build in more breaks to my day but I'll settle for being glad I work from home so I can work from the couch and relax between meetings. I'm grateful for that. Nausea and some light cramping has been coming in waves but I'm finding the right foods to help me manage.

In terms of mood my patience is so paper thin lol but I think it's helping me stop being such a passive person at work, far more likely to speak my mind let's hope that doesn't come back to bite me 🙊
  • My nausea that’s been hardcore from 4w to 6w just disappeared today, so of course I’m paranoid, ugh!!

I’m on my third pregnancy, also at about 5 weeks right now. My most noticeable symptoms have been exhaustion, some period cramps, sore boobs, hunger, insomnia, heartburn. Some of these symptoms might be a little skewed right now since I’m a) visiting my parents and not sleeping in my own bed, and b) still nursing my toddler, who has been nursing like crazy lately, probably prepping for a growth spurt, 😣😂!

Prior to DD’s birth in late 2019, I had a miscarriage that ended in a d&c around 11 weeks, so I’m still VERY cautious about calling this pregnancy a victory. As I mentioned on another thread, I’m also seeing my low BP kicking in and getting a bit dizzy now and then. That’s about it! Trying to drink tons of water and trying to stay on healthier food options - that will be way easier once I’m home in a couple of days!! I miss smoothies ❤️❤️❤️

I’m having the typical symptoms of cramping, fatigue, a little queasy. But the crazy temperature fluctuations are driving me batty. I’m either sweating or freezing. My heart also feels like it’s going to pound out of my chest if I over exert myself even slightly. I’m also definitely feeling all this much more intensely and earlier than previous pregnancies. I’m guessing because it’s not my body’s first rodeo.

@cpk3535 +1 for also still nursing my toddler. It was a little painful last night! He’s almost 2, so he’s not nursing much, thank goodness. But he would probably nurse all night if I let him!
  • 5w 4d today. Feeling lots of fatigue, sore breasts and lower back pain. Been suffering from lack of sleep more frequently these days as well, which seems contradictory to feeling tired all the time. This is my 5th pregnancy, the last three were losses, two being in the last 12 months. We are cautiously optimistic but scared to get too attached or excited.
  • @cpk3535 I’m very cautious about this pregnancy too. Too much has happened to me to feel really comfortable.

As for me I’m waking up between 4 and 5 every morning and throwing up so that’s fun. Also super tired. It’s wild how different each pregnancy has been.  Don’t remember the fatigue being this bad with my last pregnancy…
  • 6w4d with my third pregnancy and still don't have the nausea or food aversions that I had with my first 2, so can't help but feel a bit worried?! I've had terrible insomnia since shortly after getting my BFP, have been peeing multiple times per night, sore boobs, and increased hunger (like waking up in the middle of the night hungry) but keep waiting for the nausea and intense food aversions to kick in.  My first two pregnancies were identical symptom wise, so this is definitely throwing me off.

I know they say every pregnancy can be different, but I have an evidence based personality and I need to know WHY. Lol. Google is not pulling through right now...

@angbaby83 I know what you mean on the “too much has happened to me” comment!! In addition to being older and having epilepsy, my last baby was born via emergency c-section after flipping upside down in my uterus and kicking the placenta off the wall, causing a crazy amount of blood to come out (similar to my miscarriage). After that, my doc inserted an IUD at my six week check up postpartum, which was terrible as I have a super tilted uterus which was still shrinking back up at that time. Next thing I knew, the stupid iud had punctured my uterus and was floating somewhere in my abdomen!!! I had surgery to remove it about a year and a half ago. Them, COVID vaccinations seemed to cause really short cycles and I began to wonder if I might be going through peri menopause already.

Anyway, needless to say, I wasn’t sure I would even be able to get pregnant again, so this baby’s kind of sweet surprise and if it’s meant to be it will be ❤️ Let me know how you’re doing!

@kristinl492 I’m probably going to continue nursing DD for a bit longer, but my older daughter stopped around this age, so that’s kind of what I’m expecting. I’d really like to have my youngest potty trained and completely off nursing when the new baby arrives so she’s not getting jealous or going backwards in her progress❤️😊
  • @cpk3535 my oldest son stopped nursing right at 2, when I was around 20 weeks pregnant. My supply had pretty much dried up/switched over to colostrum by then, so he was over it. It made weaning so easy because he was just done and I didn’t have to worry about drying up my supply. Hoping for a similarly easy experience this time!
  • 4 weeks and 3 days. I have moodswings, hungry,  and a little bit of a headache today. Also tired but that could be from the constant circus at home. I don't remember feeling much for symptoms with my 2 chemicals this year so I'm thankful for my ridiculous moodswings.
  • The peeing, you guys. It is crazy. I swear I'm spending half the day running to the bathroom. This is ridiculous.

  • @LaceyBee522 DUDE!!! Me, too, peeing like crazy!! On the other side, my constipation is totally kicking in. Ugh 😣
  • Wanting ALL the food and then not being able to eat half of what’s on my plate lol. So unfair

Is anybody else feeling major baby brain issues already setting in? I have been feeling/sounding spacey a LOT lately. Too soon!
  • @cpk3535 me! I never really had any issues with my other kids but I’m definitely feeling it this time.  The other day my husband told me something 3 times and I still forgot. Not normal for me.
  • @cpk3535 so much pregnancy brain. i’ve got it bad early lol
  • I've got bloody boogers at almost 5 weeks. But I take that as a good sign that my blood is increasing.
  • The bloating has started over here!
