I haven’t had cereal for years but apparently now I need to have cinnamon toast crunch for breakfast?? I don’t even like milk so I don’t drink it at the end. So weird.

@newbabymama27 I'm not a milk fan, but each time I get pregnant I need all the milk and cereal. I was so sad when I had GD with my first because I needed cereal and couldn't eat it.
@newbabymama27 omg I just said this same thing yesterday! I’ve never been a cereal person… but I was in the aisle the other day and was like “wow those honey bunches of oats look gooooood”. Now it takes a lot of self control to not eat the entire box every morning! We don’t do cow milk in our house, but it’s soooo good with oat milk!
Yessss to fresh fruit too! Especially apples. My husband makes fun of my “one apple a day…” LOL sometimes I need a second one just before bed. The apple obsession is real.
I’m loving the apples! My usual faves are Cosmic Crisp, Braeburn, and Envy… but they seem to be too much for my stomach. I’ve gone to Fuji lately because they’re a little kinder but still have good flavor.
Is anyone else not eating pickles? Some days, I feel like a fraud of a pregnant lady. It’s dumb, even if all feelings are valid in their own right, and all lack-of-pickle-induced.
Nary a pickle has crossed my lips since my positive test. I'm not really a pickle person.

@pangolindrome I don’t think I’ve ever heard of those in our grocery stores! We have a lot of gala, Granny Smiths, pink lady, etc. but ambrosia are my one true love haha
@pangolindrome I'm an apple snob and really only like honey crisp. They're too expensive when it's off season so they're normally only a fall treat. I had some random apple yesterday at school and it was such a disappointment.
@jhysmath Honey crisp for the win! I don't care the cost, they need to be in my belly!! One a day, at least. Sometimes with assorted honey roasted nuts or a scoop of peanut butter. @melyrae@dsmith211 Have you tried the cotton candy grapes? Our costco had them and me and the boys went crazy over them! SO GOOD!!
FYI: I was born celiac and cannot eat wheat, barley, or rye in any form.
It is teacher appreciation week and yesterday, we got Crumbl cookies and muffins. Today, there are donuts and fruit cups. I grabbed two fruit cups and asked my friend, on maternity leave, if she would like a Cumbl cookie. She would, so I grabbed one.
Then, I looked at the donuts. I saw this beauty and blacked out a little. I asked my husband if he would like it and I am glad he said yes. I need it to be eaten in front of me so I can know how it is. I called it beautiful out loud and I know I SHOULD be a little embarrassed but… hot damn. LOOK AT IT! IS THAT BUTTERFINGER?????
@jhysmath I really miss Swedish apples. They are tangy and a bit tart and so freaking good. I’m going to imagine that you would like then.
I am no longer eating Udi's Wholegrain Bread. We bought it at Costco this weekend and I thought yesterday was a fluke when it didn't taste good. Then, today, I almost puked it back up on my walk. FUN TIMES. I'm glad Costco lets you return basically anything - I might take them up on it.
@mamamoomoo12@pangolindrome aren't the cosmic crisp apples the ones that were created and grown only in Washington? If I'm remembering correctly, it was grown by someone at WSU? Or is that a different apple?🤔
@mnmomma84 I've never even heard of those!!!! I'll look out for them. But good produce takes a little longer to reach Canada sometimes so it may be a bit into the season before I find them.
I’ve been very upset because I want a tasty sugar cookie like those designer ones people sell. Like with yummy icing. Where can I find? This picture has had me craving for days.
@chelsraec one of my colleagues makes them, and she had an afternoon class where she taught us to make them. It was super fun. She doesn't have a store and sells on Facebook/ig locally. Maybe check out your local moms group if you have anyone in the area that does the same?
@chelsraec I also think Crumbl has something similar if you have that around. I’m celiac so not entirely sure, but hubbs brought home a sugar cookie after teacher appreciation week that looked pretty similar. I’ve heard good things about their cookies.
Baby must be going through a growth spurt. I have an insatiable appetite from the minute I wake up to mid-afternoon. I just demolished a toasted 6" sub, chips and 2 cookies from subway and am still feeling hungry. Easily could've had another half a sub, plus the fruit I packed for a mid-afternoon snack.
Ya'll, apparently Cletus is hungry and wants something sweet. One of the clinicians texted me something regarding two other staff, whose names are Dr. Frost and Dr. Coke....so his text read something like "According to Frost and Coke..." and I totally read it as "Frosting and Cake."

In celebration of the good ultrasound news, I sent boy person out for Mexican hot bar from Vallarta and a cake mix/frosting for him to make later. Of his own accord, he has also suggested gelato, so he is on his way back to the store for gelato (he loves playing the "Og feed pregnant woman!" card in public, so this is not an inconvenience for him lol).

@laj0217 It was good! We are in a heavily Hispanic area, so Vallarta is a chain grocery store around here. They have a hot bar of easy to grab Mexican foods every day of the week. So it wasn't super quality Mexican food, but it hit the spot.

@kboydbowman You’re making me dream about San Diego! I hated being there, but the tacos we had in Chula Vista completely ruined me for other tacos. Forever. Full stop. I know there’s something vastly superior out there from anything I can find in Oregon.
@kboydbowman I promise that’s probably better than what we get at most restaurants here! Sounds so good.
Anyone else starving in the morning, like eating the breakfast and lunch you packed by 11 am and then not hungry/miserable with acid reflux the rest of the day because there’s not actually enough room for all that food. I feel like a snake. Just eating one large meal and then spending the rest of the day digesting it. (And yes, I know there’s a better way lol).
@laj0217 Yes!! I am ravenous in the first half of the day and then don't really feel like eating much in the afternoon/evening. Depending on what I eat in the morning or for second breakfast, I struggle with indigestion. TUMs are a staple in my purse.

@jhysmath that is heartbreaking! GD ruins all the fun.
I am not eating the treats for Teacher Appreciation Week because I’m celiac and there’s only stuff for people who can eat according to the norm.
