Upcoming Appointments or Results: Growth scan the 13th. I’m scared to see how she’s measuring since I feel huge and the last kid was 8lbs7oz.
How are you feeling?: Randomly had a ton of energy on Saturday. Woke up Sunday feeling like a train wreck but some how rallied. I think nesting energy is taking over. Lots of peeing, heart burn, contractions, racing mind.
Rants/Raves: Rave: my kids were pretty amazing most the weekend and let me get a ton of random chores done. The 6 year old was so great with her little sisters and such a little helper.
Questions: Is anyone else feeling like they’re out growing their maternity clothes already? My shirts are all getting short and tight.
ETA tag @KFrob I’ve really only gotten oversized sweaters and long tshirts, so I’ve been pretty fortunate from a clothing standpoint. Congrats on having a productive weekend! I always think it makes Monday a little better when the weekend went well.
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: June 25th, 32w2d

Upcoming Appointments or Results: tomorrow for a check up
How are you feeling?: Ok. I had a big weekend of going to a few outdoor events in my neighborhood. Successfully did a prenatal yoga session and a lifting workout. I feel really pathetic that things like walking around the farmers market or an art festival constitute a “big weekend” that leaves me so drained. I feel like pregnancy is just this constant exercise of giving myself more and more grace as my physical constraints grow.
Rants/Raves: Rant - I cannot find a way to sit that doesn’t result in a foot pressing into the top of my uterus. It feels miserable. Sometimes the kid will start peddling their feet and I just reach a point of telling it to stop (not that it knows what that means or listens…) because it is so uncomfortable and weird feeling! Rave - I have a fun day planned for Mother’s Day next weekend. My mom and sister will be in town and I’m taking them to a drag brunch and then a movie. Finishing the night with reservations at a restaurant on the top floor of a hotel along the waterfront. Should be a really pleasant day. Hopefully I’m physically up for all of it.
Questions: Is anyone else suddenly having more bowel movements? I spent most of my pregnancy at one per day and all of the sudden within the last week or two it’s now three. I plan to ask the ob about it tomorrow. I’m sure it’s not a problem, I was just surprised by the change.
@pinkkillersheep the funny thing is some of my oversized non maternity stuff still fits great! Your Mother’s Day sounds like a lot of fun. Sitting is hard right now. I feel like I’m squishing my belly/baby if I sit up straight and if I lean back it hurts my back. I’m battling some constipation right now, but towards the end of all of my pregnancies I switched to more frequent BMs, sometimes straight up diarrhea. I would say the last 3 or 4 weeks, and it was worse the closer I got to delivery.
Upcoming Appointments or Results: zoom appointment today then group b strep and pap at 36 weeks.
How are you feeling?: round. Bitchy.
Rants/Raves: I cleaned the house a ton this weekend and felt productive. I am very sore now from over exerting myself.
Questions: nope
@pinkkillersheep I think the bowel movements are because we are running out of room and also because our body is doing practice contractions (even if we don’t notice it).
Upcoming Appointments or Results: checkup next week
How are you feeling?: if I get to sleep 13 hours at a time, I’m fine. Also I have to eat every other hour because I can’t eat very much and then I’m starving again.
Rants/Raves: like I don’t even know what to put here because I feel all over the place all the time. I don’t know if it’s hormones or the stress is finally making me crack. Ugh.
Questions: for people that have had Braxton Hicks, do they actually hurt?? I’m worried I’m having preterm labor symptoms. My doctor seemed a little concerned when I mentioned how bad they hurt, and obviously I will call if they start happening frequently. But yeah, not something I had last time and Dr. Google is not helping. I may be just a wimp.
@KFrob sounds like a great weekend! I purposely buy long maternity tshirts, so hoping they can last me the next few weeks. A few of my leggings are getting tights, but I refuse to buy larger sizes at this point. It'll have to do at this point.
@pinkkillersheep your mother's day plans sound awesome! A drag lunch will be so fun!
@marionberry19 round and bitchy sounds pretty accurate. Some days everything and everyone piss me off so I'm there with you.
@fluteling Mine so far have not been painful, but I've had a few that just stopped me in my tracks. Hopefully it's not pre-term labor!

Upcoming Appointments or Results: OB and MFM checkups both this week
How are you feeling?: Where do I even start? I started having really weird abdominal pain on Saturday afternoon, right under my boobs but inside. Like when you have food poisoning and feel your insides twisting and you get chills all over your body every few minutes, that kind of pain. I was just sitting so I tried to stand and drink a lot of water and it got better. I thought maybe it's because I was hungry and haven't eaten in a while. So it got better with dinner and then a few hours later came back again to the point I was bent over. I waddled over to bed in pain and passed out and haven't felt it since. Yesterday I got a random wave of nausea + dizziness out of nowhere so I laid down and it went away within like 30 minutes. Googled and of course it can be anything from preeclampsia (although my BP has been fine) to regular pregnancy symptoms. I'll ask both docs this week, but it freaked me out.
Rants/Raves: Rave/Rant in one. Weekend weather was beautiful and I was eager to spend it outside with the kids. We took them to local event on Saturday and they had a great time. That is until I had that crazy pain later in the day. Then Sunday I was pretty much out of commission most of the day so DH was mainly on daddy duty. I hate feeling this way, can't even enjoy the full day before I start feeling like crap. My other rant again is that this kid is on the move the entire week and then 1 day decides he'll just chill out and it keeps freaking me out. He was super active even at night today when I would turn side to side, I felt him doing flips in there. Now he's quiet and I can't focus on work so I sit there just trying to feel him move. It's become an unsettling pattern and I don't like it!
Questions: Nothing I can think of right now

@fluteling I feel like I’m having random painful contractions. I’ll get one or two and then that’s it. It’s sort of like that takes your breath away feeling when they flip but with pain down in the bottom of my belly and in my back. I might be too unconcerned about it bc I was having contractions for probably three weeks before DD3 and ended up induced after my due date. I should probably mention it at my next appointment.
@Tulips29 maybe gallbladder? Sorry you’re dealing with pain and the worries it’s causing.
@marionberry19 Round and bitchy a great description. I’m so moody. I feel like I can’t stop cleaning. My house is driving me crazy and I want to throw out everything. I feel like there is clutter everywhere.
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 34w3d, June 10th due date/June 8th scheduled c-section
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM
Upcoming Appointments or Results: twice weekly NSTs from here on out, last ultrasound scheduled for Thursday
How are you feeling?: Pretty ok. Feeling like the light is at the end of the tunnel and just trying to soak in as much of this remaining time with our 3 year old before our worlds change in big (but wonderful!) ways, which makes for a more tired mommy.
Rants/Raves: My husband has unexpectedly been all about Mother's Day this year, calling so many restaurants to find out about menus and availability, attempting to book me a prenatal massage at my favorite spa, etc. We even had our first date night in a LOOOOONG time on Saturday. I gave him a nice *thank you* present last night, if you know what I mean, and I didn't even throw up while doing it
Upcoming Appointments or Results: boring appt Wed but I have lots of questions
How are you feeling?: Huge. Like my hips are rusty and broken. But okay lol.
Rants/Raves: Rant - I think I might have carpal tunnel. My hands hurt all the time now but especially night and morning. They are definitely swollen, but lots of tingling and some numbness occasionally. Anyone have any tips about that? Rave - we had a really productive weekend getting things ready to bring a baby home. My partner was so helpful, he said if I made him a list he'd do it all and he did it. I just got to fold the washed onesies and put them away (how many do you typically go through a day lol??? It feels like we have a lot but I've heard we will need them!)
Questions: I (very rarely) have panic attacks, but I've been feeling some symptoms of them at night when I wake up, especially if I'm congested or short of breath, and I'm so afraid of fear taking over when I go into labor. I'm not worried about the pain as much as I am worried about just getting panicked and scared (which usually is triggered by shortness of breath etc). Anyone have any tips about this?
@KFrob Yes to outgrowing maternity clothes! And I refuse to buy anything larger so it's just going to be my baby daddy's sweats and tees until we have a baby I guess.
@pinkkillersheep yes on more BMs, and they are often runny now for the first time in pregnancy (sorry, TMI)
@fluteling as a FTM, this is my first experience with Braxton Hicks, but I'd say they can be uncomfortable but never painful. Everything I've read said if they are painful (and consistent which it sounds like yours aren't?), talk to your doc. I'm sorry they're hurting you.
@Tulips29 so sorry about the strange pain you're having! I did just read that dizziness is common in the third trimester, but the internal pain does seem distressing. Also, I feel you on being hyper aware of baby movement - when it's crazy and when it stops. The tricks (ice water, sweets, lying on my side) really do seem to help get her to start wiggling, and the one time the tricks didn't work, then I found great relief in just calling and going in to get a non stress test.
@idreamofginny do you mind if I ask why you'll be going twice weekly for NSTs? I start once weekly at week 36 - I think because of my age, but I'm not sure if there is more to it than that? I'll be thankful for the peace of mind. You made me lol too - and glad your partner is spoiling you
@idreamofginny HAHA too funny! Sounds like a win win for everyone! lol
@shoarmie99 In my experience newborns don't go through that much clothing in a day initially unless there's a lot of spit up happening...but they don't even poop that much at first. The blowouts start happening when they are a few months old, that's when you can go through a few outfit changes a day. I don't have tips for fear of shortness of breath, but for c-sections they put a breathing tube in the nose so there's no issues there. Not sure about otherwise. Are there any meditation techniques that can help perhaps?

@Tulips29 we had very different experiences with newborns and their poop. My son pooped 12 times a day in the newborn stage and then he was pretty regular to the point where sometimes he would poop like twice a week (no constipation just a breastfed baby)
Upcoming Appointments or Results: Monthly check ups and ultrasounds. L2 is a normal weight.
How are you feeling?: Heartburn, tired. Regularly playing the "Which abdominal organ hurts today" game. I'm a little too early to be worried about birth, but I overanalyze every cramp. Luckily (and unluckily) it's been just my intestines telling me to eat more fiber.
The little guy gets hiccups I feel in my pelvis, then goes on kicking sprees making my belly jump like I'm in a horror movie.
Rants/Raves: My sister's due date is this weekend, so she'll have a mother's day to remember. I'm excited to meet my niece whenever we end up doing so. Weather here has gotten nice, so I'm looking forward to going for a walk/jog on Sunday.
Upcoming Appointments or Results: MFM echo this Thurs (our second, even though first was normal?)
How are you feeling?: My ab muscles hurt so badly and my groin... Oof. The pain of getting off the couch or out of bed is enough to take my breath away. Mentioned it to my OB and she was very unmoved by it. Other than that, I'm going with "round and bitchy."
Rants/Raves: Rant - it's week 800 of the upstairs not being done (ok, more like week 8) and that is difficult to tolerate. Like I just want to finish my nesting up there and this is driving me nuts! They're painting this week so I have to keep reminding myself that the end is near. Raves - work threw me a surprise baby shower today. Received 90% girly dresses, bows/headbands and books, but hey at least she'll be literate and stylish, even if she has no where to sleep. It was really sweet of them and honestly the first time our team has been together in one room since covid started, which was so so nice, even if it freaked me out a bit (we work at a hospital - masks have never been optional).
Questions: none
@KFrob Feel you on the clothes. I wish it were warmer because dresses would give so many more options. Slowest spring ever!
@pinkkillersheep yes - I am someone who has struggled with constipation my entire life, regardless of supplements, diet, etc. It freaked me out when this changed over the last week without warning!
@fluteling my Braxton Hicks can feel tight and uncomfortable like I worked out a muscle too hard without stretching, but not painful necessarily. Hope you feel better!
@Tulips29 hope you feel better!! That sounds super uncomfortable. The periods of inactivity get to me too. I had that happen on Saturday and my anxiety convinced me it was because I had a deli sandwich in Friday. It's hard not to get in my head about it when it happens.
@shoarmie99 I've never done the L&D thing before so can't say for sure what might help, but the Psychologist side of me is wondering if maybe practicing some grounding exercises with your partner now could be a useful strategy, in addition to the usual suspects (belly breathing, muscle relaxation) so that they can help redirect your attention during labor if need be. You could also pair this with a favorite playlist/album or imagery.
@shoarmie99 I don't mind at all! There are a few reasons why I have to go for the twice weekly NSTs. I have a blood clotting disorder that requires me to take shots 2x/day throughout my pregnancies and postpartum (that has the potential to cut off blood supply through the umbilical cord if it happens and goes undetected/untreated), I'm being treated for gestational diabetes and our 3 year old daughter was delivered early at 37 weeks because she had low amniotic fluid. Basically, pregnancy and I don't jive and they take extra care to make sure both of us are safe and healthy! Last week was my first week of NSTs and they are a pain but I know they are just doing their best to take care of us.
Upcoming Appointments or Results: final ultrasound next thursday to check babies size.
How are you feeling?: Pretty okay but i get horrible anxiety the last few weeks of pregnancy and it has kicked in now. Grateful for a husband that understands and is doing his best to help.
Rants/Raves: last appt i had strep b swab and i asked for them to check my cervix since i've had a good bit of cramping. I am already 3cm dilated... I stayed at a 3 with my first for a few weeks so not expecting anything but weird to think about.
@shoarmie99 I'm with @marioberry19 and we started with poop explosions pretty quickly. I feel like you'll randomly find it on you and other objects as well haha. I'd say between poop and spit up maybe 2 to 3 outfits. I think when you're in labor you're so focused on what's happening and the pain and weird feelings it distracts from making you feel panicky if that makes any sense. But maybe that's just me. Depending on your hospital I guess, if they make you wear a mask while in labor that sucks and was claustrophobic for me. I ripped it off while pushing and was like I can't wear this thing anymore and my doctor was cool with it though and told me I didn't have to put it back on. Also, if you don't mind me asking, how old are you? My doctor told me I only needed the weekly NST if I would be 40 at delivery, since I miss it by a month I lucked out.
@KFrob My maternity shirts got tighter as well. I ended up getting a pair of comfy pants and shirt from Target, so I can have something comfortable to wear home from the hospital.
@pinkkillersheep Yes, to your question. I have noticed an increase and sometimes diarrhea.
@idreamofginny I am trying to enjoy my time with 3 year old DD as well. I am a SAHM, so we have our little routine. Will have go figure out a new one when baby arrive.
@ournextadventure Is a cervix check painful? I had a c section last time, so never had one.
@romeoandjuliet146 its not comfortable but not painful. Its really fast and as long as the doctor knows what they are doing then it isn't bad. Last time i had a couple nurses that made it worse because they obviously weren't as experienced and took a little longer.

Upcoming Appointments or Results: NST today. I think the apple juice helped: Next appointment will have the swab and cervix check.
How are you feeling?: Acid reflux which leads to vomiting. Dr said pepcid is safe to take, but I don't like to take meds while pregnant if I can avoid it.
Rants/Raves: Glad for the days that I have energy and am able to get stuff done. Ready for baby and to get my body back, lose the excess weight and no more acid reflux.
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: EDD 6/8; induction 6/2 35w today!
FTM/STM/TTM+: Third
Upcoming Appointments or Results: Had an appointment Monday. Start weekly appointments next week. I got a referral for pelvic floor PT so that's neat.
How are you feeling?: Ugh. Could be worse but another member of the round and bitchy club here. Hate pregnancy. Really crampy a lot of the day. Ready to be done.
Rants/Raves: It's Tulip Time in our town this week. My favorite time of the year! It's beautiful, good food, and it fills my cups. The weather is going to be sucky but hoping to make the best of it anyway.
Questions: Since we have some people getting really close to baby time- start a transition to Discord or FB so it's easier to connect when we are all MOTN with babies?
Finally back for tags @marionberry19 +1 to round and bitchy.
@fluteling I am willing to bet you are not a wimp. How are you doing on water? My pain tends to get worse if I don’t keep my water intake high.
@Tulips29 Sorry you’ve been having these symptoms. I would be equally concerned and am sure I would end up in a Dr Google rabbit hole of terrible things. I hope it’s been better the past few days.
@idreamofginny Glad you are surrounded by support and positivity! Sounds like it’s been a good week
@shoarmie99 Pretty sure there’s no such thing as TMI on the BMB lol. Obviously as a fellow FTM take my advice with a giant grain of salt, but my strategy has been to start meditating now in the hopes that it’ll be like exercising a muscle so when I start to panic I can draw on meditating breathing to calm down.
@mauvelousone That’ll be so fun having cousins the same age! My SIL is due any day now and I’m looking forward to fun cousin get togethers as they grow up.
@hillies22 How nice work threw you a shower! That’s really sweet.
@ournextadventure Crazy to think we’re at the point where people will start getting dilated! I sympathize on the anxiety. There’s so much to obsess over right now.
@romeoandjuliet146 Also ready to have my body back. Sorry you’re having vomiting issues too. I really didn’t expect this to come back and am a little bitter about it.
@bww_0331 I’m ready to switch whenever. I think we are far enough along to where we have established who has participated in our group and should probably move this along before we get to the point where weirdos just want to see pics of our babies.
@bww_0331@marionberry19 I agree. I think it would be easier to keep up with something that has better notifications vs. this app, which I have to set a reminder to check. Never used Discord, but willing to try. Or a private FB group.
@ournextadventure for real, your post motivated me to overcome my denial/avoidance and download a hospital bag checklist. I hope you're feeling well!
@romeoandjuliet146 I cannot stand reflux. I hope you find some relief (one way or another) soon!
+1 on the no clue what discord is, but also just downloaded so happy to give it a try I asked DH about it since he's the tech guru here and he says it's great also.
@bww_0331 tulip time sounds so beautiful! I keep seeing tulip festivals all over socials but never had a chance to go, so hope the weather changes for you! Tulips are my favorite (hence my username)

@pinkkillersheep I could probably always use more water. Water is something that nauseated me and made me throw up for a long time, so I still don’t drink as much as I should. I try and do the chug a bunch of water and get up and move around thing, but it doesn’t seem to have much effect. Sometimes I just sort of have to hang on to the counter and just wait for the waves to pass.
I never thought about people creeping on this group for pictures of our babies and now am getting the willies thinking about it! Willing to switch to a Facebook group or try Discord app too. Does Discord allow you to share photos? I want to see all the squishy babies when they make their debut!!
Looks like discord has been agreed upon as the solution (or at least we will all try it out), but I think we should make a post voting on who we recognize as a regular so that we can vet the people being invited into the private forum. We can post our pump user names and people can vote on who they recognize and are comfortable with moving onto the next stage. & I, or someone else, can create the server and once someone surpasses so many likes under their name they can be sent the link?
Not to make anyone nervous but just went to doctor again and I am now at a 4 and about 60% effaced. Also, lost my mucas plug while at the doctors office so we might be having a baby soon! My husband literally took off to get last minute things done today so hoping we are ready. I feel like i'm forgetting everything.
@ournextadventure wow! so exciting! Sending all good thoughts your way and please keep us posted how things progress!

@KFrob kudos to your kiddos for allowing you to get so much accomplished!
@marionberry19 round. bitchy. I'm there too!
I gave him a nice *thank you* present last night, if you know what I mean, and I didn't even throw up while doing it
Questions: N/A
FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM
You made me lol too - and glad your partner is spoiling you
@shoarmie99 In my experience newborns don't go through that much clothing in a day initially unless there's a lot of spit up happening...but they don't even poop that much at first.

FTM/STM/TTM+: STM
Upcoming Appointments or Results: final ultrasound next thursday to check babies size.
How are you feeling?: Pretty okay but i get horrible anxiety the last few weeks of pregnancy and it has kicked in now. Grateful for a husband that understands and is doing his best to help.
Rants/Raves: last appt i had strep b swab and i asked for them to check my cervix since i've had a good bit of cramping. I am already 3cm dilated... I stayed at a 3 with my first for a few weeks so not expecting anything but weird to think about.
Questions:
@ournextadventure sorry you're feeling so anxious. It's crazy you're already 3cm!
@hillies22 whoohoo for painting followed by nesting!
@mauvelousone my intestines are telling me the same thing
@pinkkillersheep Yes, to your question. I have noticed an increase and sometimes diarrhea.
@idreamofginny I am trying to enjoy my time with 3 year old DD as well. I am a SAHM, so we have our little routine. Will have go figure out a new one when baby arrive.
@ournextadventure Is a cervix check painful? I had a c section last time, so never had one.
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM
Upcoming Appointments or Results: NST today. I think the apple juice helped: Next appointment will have the swab and cervix check.
How are you feeling?: Acid reflux which leads to vomiting. Dr said pepcid is safe to take, but I don't like to take meds while pregnant if I can avoid it.
Rants/Raves: Glad for the days that I have energy and am able to get stuff done. Ready for baby and to get my body back, lose the excess weight and no more acid reflux.
Questions:
Anyone else struggling with low sugar levels?
@marionberry19 +1 to round and bitchy.
@ournextadventure for real, your post motivated me to overcome my denial/avoidance and download a hospital bag checklist. I hope you're feeling well!
@romeoandjuliet146 I cannot stand reflux. I hope you find some relief (one way or another) soon!
@bww_0331 tulip time sounds so beautiful! I keep seeing tulip festivals all over socials but never had a chance to go, so hope the weather changes for you! Tulips are my favorite (hence my username)
