Covid while pregnant

Has anyone else had covid while they were pregnant? Did your doctor recommend any treatment or blood thinners?

Re: Covid while pregnant

  • I had covid when I was around 5 weeks. They usually recommend baby aspirin and may also have you do growth scans further in your pregnancy - 28 weeks and later. I believe evidence has been found of growth restriction in patients who got covid earlier in their pregnancy. I had my first one earlier this week and baby is right on track.

  • I had covid around 6 weeks. I did not go to the doctor but took pain killers. At my 10 week scan everything looked great. I mentioned that I had covid but doctor was not concerned at all.

  • I had covid at 10 weeks pregnant and doctor wasn’t concerned at all. Told me to take Tylenol and monitor at home. 24 weeks now and baby is perfectly healthy as far as we can tell.
  • I just had covid at 14 weeks - it was awful. My OB did not seem concerned though when I called to see what meds I could take. They said I could take Tylenol, Sudafed, and Robitussin (not DM) but didn't say anything about aspirin.

I had Covid right around 20 weeks. No negative effects on the pregnancy and my OB didn’t do anything differently treatment wise (although I do already take baby aspirin for something else- I know I’ve heard some doctors recommend adding that)
  • I just had covid at 17 weeks. My doc said to monitor by O2 levels to make sure they were 95 or above and said I could take Tylenol for the fever.
  • 21 weeks and currently getting over Covid. Baby seems to be fine movement wise. My next appointment is in a couple of weeks. Was told to treat my symptoms and ride it out. Luckily 🤞🏾 I didn't have a aggressive strand.
