Threw up for the first time this pregnancy last night. I've been on the verge a couple of times, but last night I had some nachos after a milkshake and it was just too much I guess =/
6w 2 days. Definitely feeling hungry throughout the day and when I eat a bigger meal I feel SO full like uncomfortably so, but if I eat something lighter I feel hungry again in 10 mins loll!! Other than that the past few days I’ve had no symptoms and am feeling good, which of course gives me anxiety to not feel symptoms. I’m sure once the nausea kicks in I’ll be wishing I was back in this position haha
I woke up MOTN so weak and nauseous that I had to send my husband into the kitchen to get me the Cheerios to see if I could nibble on a few. I had to take a preggie pop out of my mouth because that turned my stomach too. Took me forever to fall back to sleep so glad today is my work from home day, I don't know how I could commute and put on my functional human costume.
I am 9 weeks and 6 days and wish that I can fast forward at this point. I have a serious aversion to food and ALL liquids now. I will literally throw up if I even think about water. I have been drinking gatorade (it's all that would go down) but only like 1 a day. My stomach wont hold anything. I just want to cry and lay in bed all day. Also, I cant even enter my kitchen without losing what little I've eaten. My poor 7 year old.
I feel like I'm at a breaking point. I'll have a day or 2 of feeling amazing and then bam - 2 days of feeling my worst. I had such an amazing day Wednesday and today, I feel the most sick so far this pregnancy. What's most frustrating is I can't figure out what triggers it (over eating, not enough water, under eating, stress). There's literally no correlation. It's so frustrating/upsetting. I'll be 11w this weekend, so hopefully just another week or 2 of this hell. 😣
@mali0902 I’ve found with my pregnancies that there really is no rhyme or reason (at least without getting super scientific into the nuances of pregnancy and fetal development) for what makes me feel better or worse. It’s all a crapshoot and total guessing game at this point. I’m supposed to be getting lunch with a friend today and every five minutes my mind changes from “I can totally do this” to “omg I’m gonna die if I even try to stand up”
It is so funny how this pregnancy is so up and down for me. Last time my baseline nausea was consistently worse, but I didn't throw up, just gagged a bunch. I'm not really gagging this time, but I'll have a couple good days then an awful day. And it can change on a dime.
Bah I'm a little crampy today and it's messing with my sleep deprived brain. Hopefully the anxiety doesn't start back up. Either way I have my first appointment with my actual OB in a week and a half, so I can get more peace of mind then.
ETA I should have peace of mind NOW after having a second excellent ultrasound with the RE Friday, but brains are dumb.
10w4d Been having round ligament pain this week. Seems fairly random, sometimes with walking or random movements I’ll get it, but the worst is when I sneeze while lying down, that is straight up painful!
> @nervousnurse2022 said: > 7w3d today and I just feel like I'm constantly dealing with an upset stomach. It's not nausea like I'm used to but just feeling like my stomach contents could come up at any moment. Hard to describe haha. Intermittent cramping at times which totally freaks me out but it usually passes quickly. And I'm just so tired!!
My breasts are definitely getting more tender and I’ve started to have a weird taste in my mouth - it’s hard to describe, kind of metallic, but not. I also have an odd heavy feeling in my lower abdomen pretty frequently, especially at night. It’s not cramping, just an odd pressure. Fatigue comes and goes but I still have not gotten nauseated and for that, I’m very thankful! But, OH, the gas - it’s kind of ridiculous at this point.
Today I went to lay on my stomach and it was a big nope. I am not a frequent stomach sleeper but I wanted to roll over and it lasted for a hot second. I figured I still had some time to do it since I am only 9+5 but I am guessing my body is growing faster than I thought.
Can I just say this? I've noticed there's a lot of questions from FTM about symptoms either not being present or easing off. It's TOTALLY NORMAL. Most people don't feel like crud the entire 9 months, and a lot of people feel GREAT in the 2nd trimester. The reason you feel so cruddy in the 1st tri is because your body is pumping out a ton of hormones to try to sustain the pregnancy in the early days, and those hormones have a lot of side effects. But eventually the placenta takes over the sustaining and the hormones are more localized to your uterus and less so everywhere else. I know it can feel concerning because we all talk about these nasty symptoms in the beginning, and if you're truly concerned you can always call your doctor, but really truly there 90% of the time isn't anything to worry about!

Okay, just so nobody else feels stupid over this - I'm a 3rd time mom. This is my 6th pregnancy. I still just confused poop cramps for uterine cramps 😂

Can it be?? Is the nausea actually letting up? 😭🙌🏼 And did I really just stay up until TEN O'CLOCK last night?!? Who am I?!
But a new symptom reared yesterday. Intense lower back pain. Feels like a pinched nerve. But this early on? With my previous pregnancies, this didn't start until well into the 3rd tri. Currently on my way to my 12 week appointment so I'll ask. But ugh, it makes me want to crumble to my knees.
Oof. I had cereal for breakfast. Apparently my lactose intolerance is heightened right now because my stomach is VERY displeased with me even though I used lactose-free milk. Guess cereal is out for a while.
It's not that my nausea left, but it lessened last week and I was very excited. Well it is back with a vengeance, I felt so sick last night I couldn't sleep.
Anyone else starting to see veins in your boobs that you've never seen before? I have darker skin, so this is a new thing for me!
With my first, all the veins appeared and it was wild. My boobs also grew so fast that pregnancy, they were literally covered in dark purple stretch marks. It was really hard for a while, but they faded eventually. This second pregnancy is nice because I feel like I got my nice boobs back again 😂 no more wind socks for me.
Exhaustion has finally let up so I’m back in the gym and kind of feeling like myself! I’m only 9+3 and it’s my first pregnancy but already my pants either don’t fit or they are super uncomfortable. I assume it’s a combination of bloat and the last 3 weeks not being able to do anything but eat and sleep 😑. Having a hard time emotionally with getting bigger so early as I’m 5’3 and pretty fit so not fitting in any of my clothes was not something I expected so early.
Haven’t had any nausea for about a week, had a great ultrasound a week ago and excited to be almost 25% done!
One nipple is noticeably darker than the other🤷🏻♀️. I think it could be because ds likes to nurse from one side and not the other. Has this happened to anyone else?
I underestimated how good I felt and went to bed without my b6/unisom last night and today the nausea was the worst it’s been so far. The only good thing was how much more alert and awake I was when I woke up this morning. The unisom definitely makes me more tired and groggy. So ready to be done with the first trimester!
12 weeks today and nausea is kicking my butt on and off. And of course I'm in carb watch mode for my stupid glucose test so I can't just go and stuff my face with crackers like I normally would to help it.

Any STMs whose boobs already feel like they’re filling up with breast milk? I’m already getting the sensation that I need to pump or nurse. And my favorite spring jacket won’t zip anymore. Is there something we I can do for the painful tingling?

What you eat will really not impact your glucose test if it's for GD! GD is caused by your placenta. The glucose test is not a test you "fail" or "pass"--it's a test that measures how well your placenta and pancreas are communicating. So eat the crackers!

I was looking online and they said to keep it below 150 g for 2-3 days before. I tend to eat a lot of carbs, like oatmeal and a bagel for breakfast, so trying to moderate myself a bit is all. I'm already a bit pissy about it because they gave me no other option except to come in at 7:45 for the test. I only go to bed at about 3 AM, and I know from prior experience that my body including my pancreas doesn't like being sleep deprived and that my sugars will read about 1 full point higher, but of course nobody listens to the woman who actually LIVES in her body... I don't want to give them any more reason to give me a false positive, especially because I'm already giving myself a needle every evening. Do not need more.
