Boyce Avenue. They do acoustic covers of popular songs & such a chill vibe. We play them every day at home as background music throughout the day.ย
@wiseh do they do tubes in little ones ears there? With such a bad ear infection I feel like they would suggest tubes going in soon so this doesn't happen again. ( I had tubes put in when I was about 6 because of reoccurring ear infections and strep throat. I got my tonsils out at the same time).ย
Rant- Iโll be missing my best friends Wedding and bachelorette because of the pregnancy (Iโm due the week of her wedding and Iโll be too pregnant to fly for her bachelorette).ย
Rave- the baby is healthy and my midwives are very happy with how everything is progressing which is relieving.ย

I love Aurora, she is a Norwegian singer and her music is incredible, ethereal and magic. I also love Matt Maeson for raw, more rockish leaning and honest lyrics. My husband is a music producer signed to Sony so we are constantly discovering new music and artists! I am really hoping I can go to some local festivals this summer since my husband is performing but we'll see!
I had covid last year and for an entire year the flavor of mint tasted like gasoline. I had to use kids watermelon toothpaste lol!ย

The Brook & Bluff - I absolutely love them recently and I feel like itโs a small bad with huge under discovered talent. The lead singer has perfect pitch and that fascinates me.ย

Some complicated chromosomal stuff going on - our fingers are crossed, but this may not go according to plan!
My husband wants me to ask my parents and they sure didnโt do that with any of the other four grandkids (3 in Sweden from my sister, who they live close to now, and 1 in Spain from my brother), so I canโt imagine theyโd want to spend a long time 5000 miles from home. I find the question absolutely perplexing.

Rant:
Toddlers with a snot nose. You'd think the world is ending every time she needs her nose wiped. I try to wipe as minimal as possible and even tried the nose Frida so i wouldn't have to wipe her nose as often. Good thought, just as much snot came out after and I'm pretty sure I traumatized her with it, the way she was carrying on๐ฌ

I dont listen to music. I like to sing but that's mostly hymns and kid songs. My daughter has started to "sing" with me and it's super cute๐ย
Hmm Idk that I really listen to anyone that people haven't heard of. My favorite band is probably Goo Goo Dolls or Sister Hazel.ย
In 100% agreement. And now another mid-week storm to start tonight until late tomorrow night?! I just can't. If it's going to rain/freeze/snow for the next 36 hours, at least cancel all the things so we can stay tucked up in our comfies!

Thanks! I was going to GTS but figured some first-hand experience might be better than what the almighty Goog has to say.
All this chat about the post-partum visits is giving me flashbacks. I've already mentioned that my in-laws lack filter and a sense of time. After I gave birth to my first, they showed up at the hospital at about 9 p.m. and didn't leave until nearly 11 p.m.! I literally was helped to the bathroom for the first time after the epidural and delivery while they were sitting in the room. And learning how to breastfeed in front of them. It was SO awkward having a lactation consultant showing me how to grab my own boob and proper latch while my MIL and FIL was sitting across the room watching. I'm thankful that the hospital has visitor restrictions in place this time around and will have a day or so to recover before going home to what I am sure will be a revolving door of family visiting. Although, in my Advanced Maternal Age (hehe) I have learned the value in boundaries and saying 'no' and have no problem turning down visitors when I'm not comfortable.ย
I'll also add my MIL was the opposite of your mothers and just wanted to sit and hold the baby and when I would say it was time for her to feed again and she needed to give her back to me, she would complain and say she just ate. My baby who was going for weight checks because she lost too much weight. Yeah, let me not listen to the hospital and just not feed the baby because you want to hold her longer.
I'm not looking forward to that fight again, but I'm hoping he realizes how this apartment is even smaller and I don't want a single person thinking they're staying with us. I was really hoping to be giving birth in April before the tax dead line because then his mother is too busy to do anything and I wouldn't even have to deal with a phone call. but alas I didn't get pregnant when I wanted to and I'm having a September baby. Hoping this time I can convince my husband that we will just take a long weekend and go visit her so she's not coming here.ย
Yikes! It's quite the line to walk, having boundaries and appreciating help from family.ย
hmm, I am really main stream for my favourites now, and some little bands I liked when I was younger never took off so I donโt even know if you can find there music anywhere now. So I got nothing to add here
My all time favorite band is Brand New. I actually have some of their song lyrics tattooed on my side.ย
I feel like mine are related to not being able to go #2. Is that even possible?? Lol but I feel like the longer I go without, the worse my headaches get. And I haven't figured out how to regulate myself yet !
Rave: I can finally feel baby move !!!!! And itโs for sure baby movement, not just a weird tummy feeling. What an insane but beautiful feeling!
