The last few days I've been feeling worse, which just feels unfair! Aren't I supposed to be turning a corner sometime soon? (Rhetorical question - I know that I will feel better sometime soon-ish, and that it might take a few more weeks.) Today was 11w0d. Now I'm tired, headachey, and nauseated, with a major muscle cramp in one butt muscle that goes absolutely crazy every time I get up to pee...so fun.

  • @trapperkeeper87 thank you I will be booking an appointment ASAP 🙌🏽❤️
  • @kboydbowman Per your comment about the nighttime prenatal vitamins possibly causing insomnia, I took your advice and it definitely seems like it worked! I never thought about them giving me energy before bed. I was taking them around 8pm and would toss and turn all night, but i started taking them in the morning and have been sleeping so much better at night. So thank you  for that suggestion!
  • @melyrae I've had one the last couple days! Not fun. Tylenol isn't working like it normally does, so naturally I'm anxious about it.

@aaj1821 @trapperkeeper87 10/10 recommend chiropractic care during your pregnancy (and beyond)! Soooo many amazing benefits.
  • @lilienne I’m 11+2 and was doing better and now not so much, so you aren’t alone. Hoping I come around the proverbial corner soon and have more better days than not!
  • The weeks when you start feeling well again but can't feel baby move yet <<<<<
  • @whitta1015 I'm so glad!
    Current pregnancy -
First BFP on 1/4/22.  Due date 9/13/22.

Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.

  • @lilienne I’m so sorry you’re feeling bad! My morning sickness was the worst during week 12 after a tease of week 11 of feeling much better lol. I’m at week 14 now, and only have problems if I get too hungry. Here’s hoping your not too far from feeling better too!
  • @lalarose22 Tylenol isn’t doing much for me either and it’s been 4 days. I’m going to try acupuncture for the first time ever today! Hoping for some relief!
  • @dsmith211 and @laj0217 thank you both! I am simultaneous relieved I'm not the only one, and sorry you both went through it too. I think I'm just feeling extra sorry for myself - I was hoping that I would do better if I started getting out and being a little more active, and it seems to have backfired a little.

  • Hey, has anyone else had hip, and lower back pain? I’m 12 weeks and it just started a few days ago. Trying to figure out if it’s a normal thing
  • @ally0403 I've had terrible hip and sciatic pain since my second pregnancy. Chiropractor care works great. I find that the hip pain only gets worse.
  • @jhysmath
Glad to know I’m not alone in this. Maybe I’ll have to find a chiropractor
  • @ally0403 I had this happen early in my last pregnancy. What worked immediately for me was buying a new mattress! Our old one was verrrrry old and I was sleeping on a broken spring on top of that. It fixed the issue for me until later in the 3rd trimester when the chiropractor then helped a ton.

I'm waddling due to lower back pain (14w5d today) on the right. It's been this way for a little over a week. I have my first chiropractic appointment this Wednesday. It was a godsend last pregnancy, so I have high hopes for this one as well. 🤞🏻

  • I'm worse than ever and quite sick of it...I just started Zofran and I had high hopes, but I got a terrible headache about 30 minutes after taking my first dose. It does seem to have helped a little? The last few days I've started feeling awful around 4pm, and today I did okay until about 6:30, but I'm not sure that's enough of a win. It's becoming a fight to stay hydrated - I can keep water down, but drinking it makes me feel awful.  :/

  • @kboydbowman I've escaped constipation, but I'm with you on the nipple issue! That was actually my first sign of pregnancy, and they don't seem inclined to calm down.

there is no such thing as a comfortable bra anymore.  Doesn't matter how soft it is, my nipples HURT.

  • @kboydbowman sorry to hear it, what a hassle! I'm actually okay if I'm in a bra, but I've been spending a bunch of time at home and without one, and it has been quite inconvenient.

  • @lilienne I took zofran with my last pregnancy and it was a lifesaver. I dunno what I would have done without it. What time do you take it? It last about 8hrs if I remember and when I was coming up on the 8hr mark I could definitely feel it. A side note about zofran, I don't know if it's normal or if it was just me but I got sort of addicted to it😬 I started at 9 weeks and around 18/19 weeks I decided I'd try not taking it. Say I took it day 1, day 2 I would be fine and day 3 terrible. So for some time I took it every other day but then one time on day 3 I decided to just push through and then I was fine for 2 weeks. Well, then we went on a rd trip and I was getting car sick so I took 1 more and I was fine the 2nd day and day 3 was terrible again. That time I pushed through and never had to take it again (around 27 weeks).
  • @lilienne I personally can't take Zofran. I'm really sensitive to a lot of things in life, and that's one of them. It always makes me feel worse, such as increased nausea and headaches. Maybe that's something you're experiencing?
    DD 10/2019
  • @babywiik and @trapperkeeper87 thanks for the added info! The instructions I got for Zofran said 2x/day. I really did feel awful yesterday, pretty shortly after taking my first doses...but today I'm a little headache-y but doing pretty well otherwise. Maybe I'm adjusting to it? Or maybe it's coincidence. I figure (barring anything disastrous) I'll take it as indicated for a few more days, then make a final judgment. I appreciate the warning about coming off of it! I'll keep an eye out, especially considering how different I feel after dose 2 compared to dose 1.

  • TFW you stand up too fast and RLP says, "oh no bitch you didn't!"

  • @kboydbowman or roll over on bed too fast 😂
  • Second trimester hunger is no joke. I can't stop eating! Trying hard to keep it healthy - fruit, veggies, high fiber, etc. - but this baby wants ALL the things. Ugh.
    DD 10/2019
  • @trapperkeeper87 SAME! Trying to eat a lot of protein so I stay full longer but it's not doing the trick. So. Hungry.
  • I think it's just insomnia, which is normal during pregnancy. I've haven't been able to sleep since 7wks and l take my Prenatal vitamin in the morning. Good luck with everything! 💕
  • Anyone else getting low back pain already? I'm not sure if it's the sciatic nerve being irritated but I had the same last pregnancy and that's what I self diagnosed it as. I'm 16 weeks today and it feels like it's too early for back pain. Sometimes I can hardly stand up, it hurts so bad. I don't really know how to describe the feeling but it's on either side of my lower spine but more on the right thats being pinched and when I move its gritzy. Idk if that makes sense even😅 Calling the chiropractor on Monday to see if they can help. They say the 2nd trimester is supposed to be when we feel great and get lots done, right?! Lies! All lies! I guess I'll take back pain over morning sickness but goodness sakes! My poor husband is probably getting sick of all my complaining🙈😅
  • @babywiik Count me in on lower back pain. My tailbone felt clicky, just like last time. The chiropractor helped a lot last week (I was 15 weeks when I went, and 16w3d today). Like you, I'll take it over the morning sickness, but my goodness! I hate that my body seems to relax way earlier than a lot of women.

  • @trapperkeeper87 glad the chiropractor was able to help. Mamastrong has a stretch and release for sciatic pain so I did that yesterday and it helped. I went for a walk today, then sat at my sewing machine for a few hours and did not do any stretches so I'm paying for it all now. I've had issues with my tailbone since I gave birth and from what I've heard from the chiropractor and mamastrong (love this program), a lot of tailbone pain is cause by the hip flexors doing more than their fair share and the glutes sit back and let the hip flexors do the glutes job. The hip flexors are then tight and pull everything out of alignment and the tailbone becomes a messenger to say "hey, somethings not right here". When I've followed mamastrong consistently it really helps. I know this yet I chose not to do the stretches and instead complain that I'm in pain. Why do I do this to myself🙈😭😂

    Emotional. Definitely more emotional.
Energy has been much better as of the last week and a half and it’s been nice to enjoy my walks again.
I had to buy a new bra. I went with a comfy-looking Hanes one and my ladies love it. It’s like wearing a hug.
  • @babywiik @trapperkeeper87
im with you on the back pain. The heating pad has been my best friend. Interesting to know about the tail bone though !!! I’ve really gotta take the time to do the stretches and find a chiro…
  • @pangolindrome a hug is exactly what a bra should feel like!
@melyrae I'll have to try a heating pad as well. As far as the stretches, mamastrong is $14 a month (way cheaper than physical therapy) and has a free 2 week trial period so definitely check it out. I showed the program to my PT for my tailbone pain and she prescribed me to do mamastrong at least 3xs a week😅
  • Anyone else's belly feel soft some days and firm others? It naturally makes me anxious.
  • @lalarose22 100% same thing here. Sometimes I like wow I have a belly....then the next day I'm like nope just a bowl full of jelly.
  • @jhysmath yes! I'm pretty sure I had this last pregnancy too, but good to know I'm not alone!!

@lalarose22 yes!! I start worrying that what if I'm just getting fat and I'm not actually pregnant🙈 I can definitely feel my uterus though and it's growing so good news😆
