Let’s see what March holds.

Re: March Randoms

  • Watched the new Netflix show " Worst Roomate Ever." There was one episode about a guy who would move in, not pay rent, but they couldn't make him leave, not without starting the eviction process which would take months. They called him a serial squatter.

I noticed that they haven't been showing a final rose ceremony like in the past, so I wonder if there isn't one. From the previews, it seems like Susie leaves and then it is just Rachel and Gabby left. It doesn't seem like he got engaged to anyone.

I was inclined to think the same thing, but I also would’ve put money on Michelle not getting engaged to anyone so I don’t have the best track record lol. I didn’t really feel like he had much chemistry with anyone during the hometowns other than maybe Rachel.

DD1’s teacher sent a message through the app she uses basically being really passive aggressive about none of the kids dressing up for spirit week and how the parents need to be checking the news letter the school does each week. Guess what. I read the news letter. I’m too tired to put the effort in and/or buy new outfits. I’m also not going fight with the kid about dressing up every morning if she doesn’t want to. Maybe I’m not fun, maybe I’m negative, maybe I’m a bad parent. Just don’t care.
  • I am having a hard time controlling my temper at work. I am the youngest in the office but also the boss and I have been receiving a lot of "advice" and opinion's about this pregnancy and work that I really don't want to hear. I feel like they all think they are older and wiser and I just really am not interested in hearing you tell me I will rap umbilical cord around babies neck if I grab the box on top shelf... or not listening when I tell them to do something because they have "never done it like that before". This has been a battle since I was promoted but it is really getting to me today.
  • @romeoandjuliet146 @pinkkillersheep re: Bachelor

You know they mess with us every time. They showed Colton with a ring box in previews and he never got engaged to anyone. I wouldn't it past them to try to make it seem like there's something dramatic that happens. My prediction is he ends up with Rachel, I don't see it with anyone else. And Susie will probably be our next Bachelorette. I think Gabby is too goofy for the role so not sure they'd pick her.

@KFrob how much advance notice do they give you for spirit week? Last year our daycare did it for the first time and we got like 3 days notice. First day was crazy hat day and I had no time to shop for anything so had to do a silly arts and crafts project to make a hat. I already told DH that I may not have enough energy to do it this year so he might need to come up with these outfits, which will be comical to see lol.

@ournextadventure ugh would totally drive me crazy also. The unsolicited advice is the worst!

  • @ournextadventure ugh that sucks. I’ve been in that situation, too.
  • KFrobKFrob member
@Tulips29 they let us know on Friday with a Monday start.  I just can’t deal with it! Haha
  • KFrobKFrob member
@ournextadventure that sounds infuriating!  I’m not a supervisor but work in a department that refuses to change how things are done to be more efficient “because this is the way we do it” and it’s so obnoxious.  I can’t imagine leading a group of people constantly pushing back.

The other day out of the blue I realized that my breasts are still the same size. I always hear and read how our breasts are supposed to get swollen and large during pregnancy. My first pregnancy I was huge, but this time around, I’m just here waiting to see when and if my breast size will change. On the plus side, I can continue to use my bras comfortably.

@KFrob Sucks that you got that email! I wouldn’t have any energy for that either.

@ournextadventure so sorry to hear you’re having a tough time at work. What you’re going through sounds awful, I don’t get why people think it’s ok to tell a pregnant person how to go about things!
  • @mamaheidy2 I’m the same on the breast front. I still wear the same size even through nursing. The only change I get is my rib cage gets a little bigger at the end but not enough that I need to change.
  • Jujube is having. A huge sale in their diaper bags in case anyone was looking to buy one.
  • The overwhelm is quite high today.

I think I hurt myself coughing.  Now I’m having pain in my left side. It feels like either a muscle or rib, not like a deep pain so that’s preventing me from freaking out that something is really wrong.
  • KFrobKFrob member
Ladies. I need to vent. I’m a disaster.  I really aggravated what ever I did to myself Thursday. I finally went to urgent care yesterday bc my side hurts so bad and they told me that they think I torn a muscle and it’s probably not a broken rib.  They said to call the OB on Monday and that the risk of an X-ray doesn’t outweigh the benefits, if it is a broken rib they can’t do anything anyway.  It was starting to feel better yesterday until I had a coughing fit and I’m back to square one and basically can’t do anything today. I feel super guilty about all the Tylenol I’ve been taking. I’m also
terrified that it’s a broken rib and not going to heal in time for delivery. I keep crying. DH has been amazing holding down the fort but he leaves for 4 days on Thursday so this should be interesting.  Uuuggghhhhh
  • Oh gosh, I’m so sorry @KFrob. That sounds so stressful and painful. Sending you lots of internet hugs  <3
  • @KFrob I’m so sorry you’re in pain and that you are going to be alone with your kids soon! Do you use ice and heat at all? I alternated an ice pack and a heating pad for my back problems and it helped a lot. Also I feel so guilty about Tylenol too but I took it a lot when I had covid and also for my back and my OB and my trusted pharmacist friend said there is no reason to worry about it. You have to take care of yourself as much as possible. Can you go to a prenatal chiropractor? Because maybe some properly placed kinesio tape could help? I hope you feel better - we are all supporting you!
  • KFrobKFrob member
@pinkkillersheep and @shoarmie99 thank you! Urgent care told me to call the OB today so waiting on a call back to see what they say. I’ve been alternating the ice pack and heating pad and it does seem to help. We’ll see how sitting at my desk chair works out today. Thank god I work at home. Luckily my ILs offered to pick the kids up from daycare on Thursday and Friday so I don’t have to worry about getting them in and out of the car in the afternoon.
  • @KFrob I hope you hear back from the OB soon, and get some answers. Hope you feel better soon.
  • KFrobKFrob member
The OB called and agreed with urgent care that it sounds like a muscle injury. Rest, Tylenol, fluids. They said they don’t need to see me unless something changes. So good news that it’s not a broken rib! Hopefully now I can keep from aggravating it and as my cough gets less violent it will heal. I’m shocked at how painful this is!
  • @KFrob I'm so sorry you're in so much pain but glad it's nothing serious. Hopefully you can rest up and feel better soon!

  • My interviews did not go as well as I had hoped. I probably should’ve anticipated this since it’s the most ambitious role I’ve applied for yet - plant manager for an industrial sized distillery. I don’t necessarily want to change companies right now so it’s not something I had my heart set on, but I’m very competitive and am disappointed in my performance. Mostly I just hope I didn’t destroy any future prospects with this company since they’re on my short list of places I would go.
  • KFrobKFrob member
Thanks @Tulips29!  Sorry @pinkkillersheep I get still being disappointed even though you’re not 100% set on changing employers. Its like the boyfriend who you weren’t that into breaking up with you, it still stings!
  • @KFrob I am so sorry! I really hope it starts to feel better soon. Ugh.

Allergies have hit our house so hard the last couple days. No daycare today because of the coughing and runny noses. Loading up on meds in hopes they can go back tomorrow. I love spring but allergies blow.

  • @pinkkillersheep I'm sorry it didn't go as well as you hoped. Hopefully you can remain in contact with someone from the company via email or LinkedIn for any future opportunities.

@bww_0331 I am dreading allergy season! Hoping things get better soon.

My random WTFs these last 2 days is my heartburn has been out of control. It comes out from anything I eat and lasts all day long. It's so unpleasant. Also, vivid dreams subsided for a while and tonight decided to make a return. I had the worst most vivid dream, first that my dad passed away and the burial was SO vivid in my dream. Then DH and I decided to be proactive and buy our own plots before prices went up. I woke up in the middle of the night panting and couldn't fall back asleep for an hour+. Every time I closed my eyes, all I could see was images of the cemetery. Ugh.

  • @Tulips29 ditto to the heartburn. Tums don’t help me either. Hoping this phase is short lived. Vivid pregnancy dreams are awful.

  • Is anyone else scared the sonographer got their baby's gender wrong and suddenly you pop out the sex you weren't expecting?

  • @binxybaby this has literally been on my mind the past week! Lol I have an outfit for bringing baby girl home, but now I’ve decided I’ll bring a neutral one as well in case it’s a boy.
  • @binxybaby due to their uncertainty during my scan I would be if I hadn’t had two rounds of bloodwork that said it was a girl.
  • @binxybaby I asked that question a few times so my ultrasound tech probably thinks I'm nuts and have pointed out my boy's private parts each time they are visible. Also, we had bloodwork confirm it, so I'm pretty certain it won't be different.

  • I did Sneak Peek and it matched the obvious penis on the sonogram, but I still wonder about this. It happens, I'm sure...I'd feel completely bamboozled by it honestly.

  • Rolled over on my side before getting out of bed this morning and woke up to a lopsided bump. Intuitively this makes sense, but looking down at it I think my exact face was O.o
  • KFrobKFrob member
@pinkkillersheep I had a coworker who’s kid used to hang out on one side of her belly all the time and it would look so crazy
  • @pinkkillersheep so funny, I sometimes wonder if I squish the baby to the side if I'm leaning too much forward. Last night baby was kicking away so hubby and I were both feeling the kicks, then he started kicking on the side I was laying on and my husband asked if he's kicking because I'm squishing him from the side I'm laying on.

Would you guys trust an open box car seat base from Good Buy Gear?
  • KFrobKFrob member
Unused. I read that their open box stuff usually comes from retailers that don’t want to deal with open box returns and figuring out if everything is in there to resell. So they inspect it and check for recalls. I bought our new bassinet open box from there and it looks like a beat up box I would have bought from Target without really a second thought.
  • The physical therapists says I should buy new shoes because my boots I wear every day are too tall.
Oh no. Shooooooes. Medically advised shopping oh nooooooo.
  • @KFrob I would think unused is fine as long as it's been inspected. I had to google this after your post because I've never heard of them. Some good deals on there!
