How are you feeling? Ugh. I feel huge. The pelvic pressure is unreal! I went to the grocery store the other day after a morning of vacuuming and it felt like the babies were going to fall out of me, I could barely walk afterwards. Also *TMI* the constipation has been unreal for the last couple of weeks, so I increased my fiber. Now it is like the complete opposite.... 😬

Identical/Fraternal? di/di so we are assuming fraternal.
Team 💗💙💚? Finding out on Friday! NIPT said pink/pink so we will see.
Questions? Has anyone had conversations about birth plans with their doctors yet? I've done a lot of research and talked with my midwives briefly but I plan on asking a lot of questions to my MFM team on Friday. My midwives said my goal is to make it to 36 weeks and my plan, I think, is to try vaginal if both babies are head down. I'm just so terrified of delivering A vaginally and needed an emergency section for B and having to heal from both.
Advice: Drink as much water as you can. I thought I was drinking too much (about 100oz a day) and my OB said that's good. And to add some Gatorade to get some extra sodium.
Rants/Raves: Rant: All of our 2 feet of snow melted last week! And then we got another foot this weekend. I'm over winter and am actually looking forward to mud season. Rave: MH. I just honestly am thankful for him, he's being so good to me right now and picking up the slack for things I can't (don't want) to do.
GTKY Favorite Vacation Spot: We don't take a lot of vacations. We actually haven't even gone on a honeymoon. But we love to visit Burlington, VT - so many great breweries! We also spend as much time at our family lake house as we can. I also love York, ME - I grew up vacationing there.
EDD/Weeks + days: 8/31 (unless my OB wants to move it up), 13+5
How are you feeling? I feel pretty good overall. It’s beginning to get uncomfortable sleeping- might have to invest in one of those Snoogly pillows in the near future. Still feel like I have more of a food baby than baby bump lol.

Team 💗💙💚? NIPT says 💗💗
Questions? I am not sure what types of things to be asking my OB. MH and I are huge planners and I know especially with pregnancy things sometimes just happen lol. Also, is it too soon to be thinking about stuff like lactation classes? Still trying to wrap my brain about BF two babies, pumping, and eventually going back to work like that.
Advice: Always self care! Rants/Raves: Finding out we are having two girls really hit my husband harder than I thought. I know it’s normal to grieve and be disappointed a bit but I’m still a bit frustrated that he’s frustrated (although getting better!)
GTKY Favorite Vacation Spot: This is such a tough question. I love travel. We spend a lot of time camping now in the mountains, but places I’ve visited and would go again are Newport Beach, OR, Bend, OR and Mazatlan, Mexico.
@sarahdaley11 I am a huge planner as well, MH is just along for the ride haha. I've talked to my OB about: - Heartrate monitoring while exercising / safe exercises to do while pregnant. - Water intake. - Delivery options and policies at their practice (midwifery). They don't deliver before 35w and they are small with no NICU. - Mental state and safe SSRIs if needed. - When to call them - pre-e signs, early labor signs etc.
Things I will be talking to my MFM (high risk team) on Friday: - Delivery options and goals. Will I be induced at 37? Will we schedule a C? My fears about birthing one baby vag and one via section. Can I eat during labor? What do the pain relief options look like for a C vs. vag. Will they deliver vaginally if baby A is head down but baby B is breech (some don't deliver breech). - If I do have a C section: when can I drive again? Do you provide belly binders? - NICU time: What are the policies and procedures on the babies' stay - is it by weight or milestones? If I can't drive, where can I stay to visit them? Cost of NICU stay? - COVID policies - Can my spouse come and go during certain hours? Are private rooms guaranteed? In an emergency, can our 5yo check in with us until grandparents come to get him? - Can I get a rec for a Chiropractor and/or pelvic floor therapist now? Can I get one during postpartum?
@jellie603 this is an excellent list, and I'm copying it down to ask my OB and MFM! Thank you! ETA: You are not an outsider! You're part of this group. ❤
How are you feeling? Like absolute horse manure. I have a cold, and I feel like a big baby with it. I never get swollen glands, and I have never had my gums hurt so much in my dang life! What is happening?!!!
How many babies? TWINS!
Identical/Fraternal? Identical (I was told they're mono/di)
Team 💗💙💚? I'm team 💚, MH is team 💙, but I think they're 💗
Questions? BF class, do I see a lactation consultant before I give birth? Should I hire a doula? Why tf do my gums hurt so much?! HOLY CRAP (it's really all I can focus on, sorry)
Advice: ummm don't floss your teeth as hard as you're used to otherwise you'll be miserable like me. Rants/Raves: Rant: my gums. I cannot bite or chew anything. Soft solids is my max. Good thing I like smoothies and pudding. Rave: my little brother went to the store and got me some mouth rinse for mouth sores so hopefully I'll start to feel better soon. He also got me some rainbow sherbet. This was while MH was out bowling with his friends yesterday. So little bro is the real MVP.
GTKY Favorite Vacation Spot: The Jersey Shore. South shore, to be exact. I like places like Sea Isle City,. Ocean City, Cape May. Nothing too busy, beautiful beaches, and about an hour drive from my home. (but I have friends and family who live down there so I can stay over if I need/want to)
@sarahdaley11 we don't know what we are having yet but my husband definitely has his heart set on boys. @jellie603 that is a great list of questions! I see MFM on Monday so will ask some of these! @bridgiebee82 I just went to the dentist today! Hygienist explained increase of possibility of bleeding gums as the bodies way of increases blood to fight bacteria/ infection in the mouth. So very common! She said antibacterial rinse can be a great way to keep mouth clean without irritation from brushing ( brushing still recommended). Hope it improves. If not call your dentist for ideas.
How are you feeling? SI joint pain in full force today
How many babies?2
Identical/Fraternal?identical
Team 💗💙💚? Eager to find out!
Questions?anyone else already having this pain? Seems early.
Advice:keep moving! Rants/Raves: Rave- stich fix box arrived today gor maternity clothes- about to open it up!
GTKY Favorite Vacation Spot:ooooo! I choose 2! Maui Kaanapali area and North. Great beaches. Great weather. Great food. Great drinks. Also our remote cabin- away from everyone, no cell service, wildlife and great scenery.
@bridgiebee82 I don't recall seeing an LC before birth. I know they send one in pretty much the second that baby shoots out of you though haha! And I remember going to see one in the weeks following birth because we had some issues. I recommend following some people on IG, TikTok, where ever because there is some great information on BF out there if you want it! Also, bring your pump (or use the hospital grade one) to the hospital along with any shields, creams etc. you may want because if you're BF they want you to try right away. Also, omg yes the gums! I can remember with my first I was just sitting at my desk and my mouth just started pouring blood for no reason. It's real cute...
MH added a board question to my list that I though was worth mentioning! It definitely comes from the husband's view haha.
He wants to ask what the support will look like after birth. Assuming all goes "well" and we have a vaginal birth for both and there is no NICU time needed. He wants to know when the nurses will come in to help haha. He recalls with our first him being so exhausted and secretly wishing nurses came in more frequently. I had an epidural so I couldn't get up for a few hours. I am also curious about this now, and curious if there is a nursery they take babies to overnight for rest if you want that. I don't know what state of mind/recovery I will be in and apparently my husband cannot function without sleep haha, so 2 babies and all of that may warrant some extra hands.
