@jhysmath that's so frustrating! Part of me is like "I would totally still take them!" and the other is like "no what if she actually is closed?" How did your day end up? Sounds like you had a fab time at the snow.
Sorry I've been so sporadic on here. I have been so, so sick but finally got all my meds sorted & have my appetited back & not sleeping so much! Last week I think I slept 20hrs a day I was absolutely shattered every day.
@wiseh the snow was great skiing was awesome, or parking lot is a poop show right now though. The spot we got tonight I went to open the truck door and had to push snow. Standing knee deep in snow without boots on to get the toddler out was interesting. Thank goodness we were headed home and I got to put my Pj's on and not go anywhere.
I'm glad to hear you're starting to feel better. 20 hours of sleep sounds amazing.
My daughter has a birthmark on her face that we are currently doing laser treatment to have removed. When we were last there in January, there were no available appointments during the 6-8 week window we had to return for the next session, I mama bear-ed out at them until they gave me an appointment - it is of course on Valentine's Day haha. It's 1.5 hours each way, so that's basically what we're spending our Valentine's Day doing over here.
DH always sends me elaborate flowers from our daughter (for mother's day, my birthday, etc.), I told him this time to save it and just sent him a link to some cupcakes I wanted lol. DH asked for a new roasting pan for Valentine's Day, I guess I should order that haha.
@jhysmath I'm not feeling great now that I got my numbers back. Especially since they're comparable to what magnolia just posted in her thread. I'll post the details in the appointment thread, but I'm really trying to hold on to hope until my u/s next Monday. I wish I had gotten better news.

@jhysmath sounds so amazing (apart from the snow without boots!). I was just reminiscing on my last snow trip (4 years ago now ) and told my husband that once we're finished where we are at the moment that we need to move back to the east coast so we can live & breathe snow again.
@Amphibious22I am also retraining to be a teacher! In Australia you have to do a master of education if you don't do the bachelor of teaching straight out of uni. You get your majors & minors from the subjects you in your bachelor & I qualified to teach physics & maths. I applied for the course in November last year and found out I got accepted the same day I found out I was pregnant!
@wiseh so cool! I'm doing my master's too, but mostly so I can be on a higher pay ladder. I'm in my final year and then will student teach next spring. It's definitely going to be a tough transition, but having the same time off as the rest of my family will be amazing. Plus I feel like zookeeping is one of the few industries where I can say I'll be making more money as a teacher.

Y’all I just got an email from an aunt I’m not close to congratulating me on my pregnancy. I am so pissed! I certainly didn’t tell her.
I guess I need to just take a deep breath and let it go. I know as soon as one person knows, it’s out of your control. But the level of disrespect involved in sharing someone else’s secret is mind blowing.
Also, just because I’d come to you for support if something went wrong, does not mean I want to talk to this random aunt.
And, there are family and friends I’m close to that I’d like to tell, but haven’t. So now it’s like should I go ahead and tell them even though I’m not comfortable with the timing so someone else doesn’t share it first?
@laj0217 I am super annoyed for you. I'm so sorry you're going through that. I wouldn't even respond to the aunt and then I'd go after which ever person leaked the news to inform them that they will not be getting any other information.
@jhysmath I opted to just tell the aunt it’s still a secret. Not her fault she knows. Then I sent a text to the few people I did tell reminding them that we’re waiting until the next ultrasound to share the news more widely. I was pretty diplomatic, my husband was not. I believe his exact words were “who’s the rat?” 😂 definitely brightened my mood.
