FB has been a much easier and less glitchy format for my previous BMB. Private groups on FB are not searchable and no one else can see who’s in them or even that they exist. I think we just had to pm our email address to whoever was going to create and admin the group, and invites were sent that way. Also you do not have to be FB friends with them to be in the group with them, for anyone with privacy concerns. Being in the group does not give you access to their personal page.
In general what usually happens when a group decides when and where to go private, a post is created for people to comment if they’re interested in being in the private group. Other members like their comment if they feel this person has participated enough that they’re comfortable with them joining.
@happynapper I think we had our group searchable for a very short time (and it's not called anything baby related. So for example we could call the FB group flower fest 2022 or something lol) so we didn't have to provide email addresses, but it went to private/secret after that. I think we just had to describe our profile pic/name in a PM to the admin and then request to join the group.
@happynapper I have no idea what we did last time in terms of who to “let in” or whatever. We didn’t do a voting thread but I think the admins discussed amongst themselves if the people commenting on the FB thread participated enough to be considered a regular? I like the voting idea though since it seems less arbitrary
@b_1029 I think we had admins vote on who could come in once someone requested. We had 4, so if none of the admins could vouch for you, well...🤷♀️🤷♀️ But I'm open to love tit voting as well!

Also, just a general thought...when we decide admins (def more than 1), I think it would be good to make sure we get a FTM admin in there. I know a lot of us on here are STM+ but it would be good to get a FTM's opinion, etc. Don't want it to be the STM show where we're all biased from our previous BMBs 😜
Definitely make an announcement with the planned migration date! I know some lurkers, or people who were active 1st tri May want to try to be more active before we make the switch! My suggestion would be March for the move
I guess I should have said this as an "other" vote on the poll but with my previous BMB we did both a private group on the bump and FB at the same time. There were a lot of us (myself included) who weren't regular FB users. So I'd be down for that.
@jandawg yeah we did FB and normal BMB for a while, but dropped off TB starting in our due date month. I think we had regulars who didn't want to move to FB so we stuck around a bit for them.

@runninginva it’s still NUTS!!! The last two homes just in my own neighborhood that went up sold in less than 2 days. The last home we almost put an offer on was on the market for 24 hours and had 5 offers 😳😳😳 ETA:spelling

I have a random update- I can’t find the pregnancy / maternity clothes thread but I tried on my Blanqi leggings again and and now that my belly has popped they fit so much better!!!
@MrsLaLaBug, aww man. That's tough! We bought a house in June and ended up buying quite the fixer upper because the others we made offers on were just too competitive. It's been good so far, though. Plenty of work still but we love the neighborhood and have been very happy with the renovations we've made so far.

Thank y’all for all the good vibes! Went back over there for a 3rd time today with the kids so they could see it! Sent over the offer this evening - we know for sure there was one other offer made today so we are def up against one other offer. And they have to respond by 3pm tomorrow! EEEEEEK!!!
We watched Encanto earlier this week too and it really was so good. We've watched it 3 times now and have listened to the soundtrack on repeat everyday since though. .
