@pajamstagrams I did not! I remember the fuss that kicked up when we decided to take our group private and people were like "you are monsters for depriving others of the information you are sharing" and we were like....bye!
My last BMB went to Facebook secret group after the births and don’t recall people melting down. By that point the same people active until the end were the ones that went.
i can see people flipping out when it’s done early though.
@jandawg oh it was a gem. Basically the OP didn't like the "no one offs" rule and called out people, by name, asking who made them "admins" to say all these rules (the same rules that every BMB since forever has used and copy pasted) It got real ugly. It sounded to me like this person just didn't jive with the community feel this app has (ie to get support, you need to give support) and wanted more one off threads a la other apps like BC or WTE or Glow. Which is fine, but that's just not how the bump has ever really operated, so maybe wasn't the best app for them.
Also yes, the "culling" is always a stressful time...always people complaining and feeling left out because they didn't make the cut due to lack of participation. I get it, it's kinda harsh, but at the same time, internet safety! I obviously don't share names, locations, and other specifics on here, so I don't want people I don't "know" to see my FB profile, etc.
@And846@pajamstagrams just curious… is the private group a Facebook group? I deleted Facebook back in November and haven’t ever looked back. I’d miss all of you if it’s just a Facebook group, but I get the need for privacy.
@fireflyz_56 I think it depends. For my other BMB, it's a secret FB group (I think it's secret at least lol. Aka no one can see that you're a member if they look at your groups). A couple moms on there have FB exclusively for the group. But I've heard some groups move to a private bump group, and then move to FB later.
@pajamstagrams makes sense! I truly cannot remember there being private groups on TB from my first pregnancy lol, so I was wondering how it would work. Thank you for clarifying. 😊
@pajamstagrams TB was having so many technical issues that my other BMB went straight to Facebook rather than do a PG on here, but I know other friends who went the PG then Facebook route. I liked going straight to FB but I know that’s obviously far more personal than a PG on here. I can’t remember the timing of when we did it either. Maybe in like May for our July babies? Ours is a private Facebook group also.
@b_1029 we moved pretty early to FB, it was July for October babies. But we had a couple babies arrive super early, and also we still were decently active on TB still until like late September. So we did both for a while.
I feel so out of the loop, lol! I would have never guessed there would be drama on a pregnancy app/thread of all places! I have the WTE app and I have noticed some of their threads can get caddy but I just avoid them lol.
My last group moved to a private FB group 2 months before we were due. It was nice to be there already when the babies were born bc we were much more comfortable sharing details of our birth stories and pictures of babies.
My July bmb waiting until all the babies were born from our core group and then moved to Facebook. I’d def prefer to go earlier so we can share more vs on public place.
I’ve briefly seen threads from other forums as they appeared in Google searches when I’m on a Dr Google mission! The unorganization overwhelms me
I never migrated with the April 16 or April 2020 boards, but Dec 17 went to Facebook I think around the beginning of November. FB was pretty dead until babies were being born. I think the BMB lasted until the beginning of February. I wouldn’t want to go over super early because I hate Facebook lol
Todays random: I’ve always been so proud of my pelvic floor strength and never had to deal with snissing issues or other PF problems except immediately after delivery. Until covid. Eff you, covid cough for making me deal with pee coughs for the first time in 4 pregnancies 😂☠️
@skc040512 ugh same! I’m usually fine with coughing but the covid coughing fits did me in. I was about to order some puppy pee pads to put under me in bed lol

Last night I joined the May 2022 subreddit and the May 2022 discord. Lotsssss of action going on in the discord! Lol
